In this video, I discuss a list of ten goals that novice players can shoot for in order to progress into the mid game content of Old School Runescape. I remember growing up my best friend and I started playing together, by the time we both stopped cause life got more complicated he had base 60s and I had double his quest points lol. What ever you achieve in this game is always a permanent milestone everything helps in its own way. I love it

I am a returning player from mid 2000's, i remember i spent years roaming cluelessly doing gathering skills.
Now I've come back, my initial goal is working toward quest cape, I've also discovered the grace outfit, so im no lifing Canafis.
The road to quest cape will unlock plenty skills & cintent reasy for achievement diarys.
Thats about as far as ive got so far😊 will keep me going for a few months at least
I sounds like you're making terrific choices honestly
Get graceful so you can do more grinding like farming, RC, fishing/cooking ect
Just got back into my osrs grind sitting at around 60 combat. Definitely a helpful video to get me back on track!

My first goal was 99 smithing because that had been my goal when I originally played runescape as a kid. I ignored pretty much anything in the game that wasn't related to smithing and ended up getting that 99 before getting half the things on this list. So it's definitely not like you "have" to do things in a certain order, but yeah if I was starting a new account I'd probably follow this list to start out.
One huge important thing - you're already an experienced player! That makes going for 99 smithing possible and make sense compared to unlocking content and exploring
@@WeSkillNow ah that's true. I guess I didn't count the time I spent in the game as a kid, though to be honest I never progressed beyond the "noob" state back then anyway.
TEARS OF GUTHIX for the short little minigame that you can do once per week. It gives you experience in your lowest skill, and the minigame is super easy (just tp to location, and click on rocks for a short amount of time). I'm well into my 40s in hunter, for instance, and the minigame grants me an entire level up every time I do it.
I already got fm 99 and melee stats 65-75. I got some mid game goals already, but still need to finish my early game. This helped a lot :D

Do quests working towards barrows gloves. train slayer whenever you need a break from questing. If you need money train your combats to base 70s on chaos druids.

Good stuff! My total level is 1230, 150 QP and ~2 mil gp and I still feel like I’m early game (Ironman). I have D Slayer to complete still and plenty of equipment to earn. Trying to 99 in Wintertodt before anymore combat (59 combat / 46 hp). I never actually use ardy teles because of the ardy cape and the fact that they cost 2 laws!

Base 40 on most ftp just fin dragon slayer. Video helped me by confirming next steps as one of my resources before I use bonds given to me by scape daddyz 😄

I'm a UIM and I'm working on getting my slayer helm
recently grinded a bond so that i could go from f2p to members after finishing all f2p content. just over halfway into the bond, and it feels like im stuck somewhere between the early game and midgame. i want to do more bossing stuff like in dragonslayer 1, but all the tips for midgame i see online are far away from what i can do currently, and ive been trying to balance doing as many quests as i can with doing the better moneymaking that members have access to to get another bond.
it kinda feels like ive hit a wall with maybe my combat stats? maybe im relying too much on safespotting as a crutch or something

For the dairy items that are unique. What happens if I die in the wildness with them? Can another player take them
No, they are untradeable. So if you ever lose them, get them from the same NPC you first got them from.

Damn, im not even on step 1 yet...
Among the "First 50 Quest Points" section, there are some really useful quests that give big (at low- to mid-levels) XP drops and can really help you get some skills up quicker.
Alternatively, start getting used to grinds by working your way up the tiers instead of skipping over early stuff using big quest XP drops.
That's very interesting. What's the best thing for a new player? Possibly getting used to grinds...
I know the video is 2 years old at this point, but 4 minutes of preamble is pretty excessive. Also is noise gate the clicking. It can get piercing

By the by, just having these goals has REALLY helped with making this game "stick." for the last week or so.
Next goal is something that'll take a bit longer, base 30s.
I think this should be beginner goals.
