Maryjane, I live in Washington, D.C. It’s an international city, and as you probably know, many people from all over the world live here. I love frequenting the many restaurants that reflect the cuisines from different parts of the world. I must say that the restaurants owned by Afghani ex-pats are probably some of the best I frequent. The food is always delicious and magnificently prepared, but the service the staff gives to its patrons is unbelievably gracious and very friendly.

this video is about to blow up,.,mary jane you have no idea the great work you are doing in following your heart in traveling. you are shinning light in dark places.,.Afghanistan is a beautiful holy place,i think the energy of the taliban you felt was/is pure love,.and those who go to thier country and abuses the resources of their home anyone with a right mind would need to defend thier home especially if some one has taken advantage of your pure kindness. they all are confident in saying that you are safe because they work in harmony because they take lies, cheating and stealing as an actual sin. I would love to go to Afghanistan to be able to experience that love and take it with me in where ever i go.

While I agree with this statment... do you not remember the entire country on airstrip literally jumping on planes that were taking off when the taliban took over? There is a reason people were in so much fear. There is no doubt the afghan people are beautiful just as any people are. There gov doesn't define the entire population but I think it's dangerous for her to soften the view on the taliban. Woman can't even continue education. They tore down pictures at womans salons and probably the entire solar, just as they blew the movie theater up. They think God wouldn't want humans to have any fun experience. A movie? They use to not be able to fly kites. God wants humanity to be happy and thrive while having empathy for others and forgiving. It seems it's something they don't hace is empathy for others

They are wrapping it up in pretty packaging. Just like look at the movie theater she showed they blew up, people can't even watch movies there. She even said woman constantly begged her to take their children.

Blackman Da Traveller also went to Afghanistan recently...much of what we see in the mainstream media especially as it related to the women is propaganda...In terms of gender India is the most dangerous country for women according to Reuters

As an Indian American woman myself, I would say I would rather travel to Afghanistan than India as a solo female traveler. The Taliban seem to be helpful when it comes to protection.

Please be sure to fit saunas and heated pools to your travel itinerary. It helps with healing, i suffered a similar accident. Cold places makes my bones ache lol. Take it easy and use some braces or compression stuff when walking. Glad you have a wonderful experience with the people ❤

I see a famous cinematographer in your near future… for you know and greatly understand scoring, mood, visual videography, rawness and beauty.. keep up the work.
Block all the random naysayers who couldn’t recognize a change maker if they tried. Continue to embrace your difference. You were purposely created this way to do just what you’re doing. To be a rare extraordinary human. Many won’t and couldn’t grasp that if they tried. Cheers to you my darling - Happy Travels 🤍✨

You named things that have to do with the Muslim religion, not necessarily Afghanistan. Muslims don’t hang photos and can’t have them in their homes. Also, you were a tourist. You LITERALLY said women were begging you to take their kids in another video 🙄
You don’t live there so don’t know the hardships those people face and will never know unless you live in that country and from that culture.

    • @alimathomas3016

Very true.. I kept thinking yes the people I’m sure were very nice, but as a woman living there full time the existence would not be anywhere near as enjoyable as the tourist. Having to ask permission to go anywhere is already a lot, just imagining resident women not being allowed to go anywhere alone is sad.
