Hi, I recently came across your video and I really enjoyed it. I wanted to tell you a few things -
Actually the pink drink you had in T-Nagar was not buttermilk, it was rose milk. (Unfortunately the seller didn't understand English so when you asked what the pink drink was he just answered the drink which was next to it (beige colour) that was badam milk (badam means almond). Also in between you thought people are insulting you, but they aren't insulting you, they just don't know English but they are happy that you are trying to talk to them and since you are going around with your camera they feel they will be viewed by people so they are just excited. But be rest assured no one was insulting you. It's not that they see foreigners talking to them regularly so their excitement is valid. The last dosa you had in Murgan Idli restaurant was masala dosa and not plain dosa. Also tamil people are very generous.

This place is at a walkable distance from my house. I live in Chennai and have visited Delhi many times. In my experience, safety in Delhi is a major concern. But it’s not just that-the pollution and dense crowds are also challenging to cope with. I’ve been scammed many times there, and it feels like Delhi is not just the capital of India, but the scam capital as well. What’s even more shocking is that the local cops seem aware of what’s going on but remain oblivious, allowing scammers to operate without any concern. When comparing Chennai and Delhi, Chennai is much better overall. The only issue in Chennai is the weather, which is hot and humid throughout the year. In Delhi, the climate varies, with very hot summers and colder winters. However, when it comes to scams, safety, and pollution, Chennai is definitely much better than Delhi

those are not temples. they are temporary shrines. you went there during Vinayaka Chathurthi (ie Ganesha festival) season. Every street will have some idol of Ganesha. they will be displayed there for about 2 weeks. After the festival is over, those idols will be submerged in the sea. you are lucky to catch that, those are very beautifully made idols, seen only during that time of the year.

Here in tamilnadu we mostly worship lord MURUGAR who is younger brother of lord GANESHA and second child of lord SHIVAN and PARVATHII. After a week of VINAYAGAR SATHURTHI celebration we disslove all those statues on a beach probably at sunday...nearly 1000s of statues will be there at the beach.

Guten Tag! I am from Chennai, I lived my entire childhood here. I really loved the way you covered the city of Chennai. Though I found few things off😅.
    1) yes, we do worship lord ganesha. But those things you saw on the streets are called "pandhal" which is like temporary temple made for the festival of "Ganesh chaturthi". You would enjoyed the essence if you have visited Pune or Mumbai during this time, as that festival hits a different level in the indian state of Maharashtra.
    2) I don't think the area you were on (north-eastern part of Chennai) would be 100% representation of food in Chennai. Those areas have north indian settlements and their influence. Even the little boy you were talking to, he asked the shopkeeper "kya hai woh?" which means "what is this?" in hindi or someother northern language. And that's a chat shop (you get chat items, which are predominantly from the north) though we enjoy eating chat, one wouldn't consider them as from Chennai. But that clearly depicts the welcoming and friendly nature of Chennai and I love it.
Your auto driver has given you a right suggestion about going to "murugan idli", I enjoyed dining there as a kid. They serve really good food, they are known for their different types of chutney they serve. I don't know if they still have their glory but really a awesome place to eat.
It is really nice to see the place where I grew up, I left the city 2 years back, now I am in pune. This video made me see all the places I visited as a kid gets me to a nostalgic state. In tamil we say "Chennai pola oru oore illa" which means "there is no city like Chennai" I think that's true. Loved your video, thanks for this ❤

13:45 the yellow drink is called badam milk. Badam is basically almonds, but it's not almond milk, it's just sweetened and coloured cow milk with almond essence and chunks of almond. The pink one you got is rose milk. None of those drinks are called buttermilk 😂

@@indianthamizhan007the phrase assalamu alaikum means “ peace be upon you “ and we can reply to it by saying “ wa alaikum assalam” which means “and upon you be peace” but you are comparing with jai shree ram which means “ victory to the lord ram or hail to the lord ram” literally dumbest comment i’ve seen on internet today its always hindus making so much problems and being so jealous seeing muslims

@@metevice She actually meant like "What would you like to do now"?. I mean she was asking you whether you wanted to pray or wanna eat something or wanna take pictures etc., As you are a foreigner she was clueless what would you like to do. Hence she asked in a good way which is something like "What can I do for you"?
Hope you liked our Tamil culture n people. Thank you for the positivity. Wishing you a pleasant experience n a blissful journey wherever you go. I'm from Tamilnadu (Chennai) too.
