The Bangboo System widgets give you a nice chunk of Dennies when scrapped too and you get around 25 on each run. Don't stop at the Z-Merit cap, go for the rest of those too.
I did this since first week and sitting on 20k+ Z-merits right now. With this method now you will max out the weekly cap in one Lost Void run if you get 3 portals. You also get 225 from finishing the run which amounts to 900.
I knew about the extra Z-Merits you can get, but I didn't know you can encounter a portal that gives you a bunch to cut down on farming time. What I did before was doing 1 new Hollow Zero run and then do the rest in the old Hollow Zero in the money stage (don't remember the name, the one where each floor is just a straight line with like 3-5 rows). It felt kinda meh that way, since you're missing out on the meta-progression on the new HZ, but it was just a braindead background thing to do while watching YT or whatever. Going to try getting the portal tomorrow and see how much farming time will be cut down with it for me, so thanks for the tip.
I suspected that particular method world work when I played it the first time but didn't confirm it myself. So thanks for the foot work it's helped greatly

I just went for combat sections cause like you said, its fun-and felt like I was robbing myself of the experience by going to the blue spots where there were no enemies.
Honestly the new mode is so much better and doesn't drag on and on. THAT seems to be the general consensus. As that is the direction they have gone. Then again I just hate all the myriad of time wasting 'end game' bs in these games. If I miss a week I shrug it off and might get to it next time. Fomo has been burnt out of me from genshin back when I played it. I'd rather get it over with and be done. Esp as in ZZZ the combat is even MORE up it's own behind with all the naming and paragraphs of garbage naming. Just say basic/dodge/(ex-)special/ult/wtf. I can never keep track of wtf the various things are named. Esp as the move list is only accessible IN missions. I've been putting in the surveys to have them add the icons in parenthesis for a while but doubt it will happen with them barely keeping up things.
@ just read it slowly till you understand the skills, you're not exactly being forced to speedread the skill once and jump right in, ya know. It's not just a problem in ZZZ with skill descriptions but in Hoyo games in general with them being a bit word vomity though, I'll give you that.

I tried this strat and I got 2 portals in 1 run. Run 1: no portals, full run = 225 merits Run 2: 2 portals, full run = 225 + 225 + 225 (For full run) = 675 Total from 2 runs = 900 (capped) Total run from 1 week = 1.000 (weekly reward) + 900 = 1.900 So that's easy 450k dennies if you cash out all of them
I already knew about this but I am too lazy to run it. My schedule for ZZZ is 10-15 minutes dailies and 6-7 hours spread over Friday, Saturday and Sunday trying to clear endgame content.
Yeah there will always be some amount of big time investment for those who can do it, but a healthy way to play these games is to just go with the flow and not care that much. I sometimes can't be bothered with weeklies or stamina either, I just do the 3-4 daily tasks in 2min and done. When there are events or whatever, that's another maybe 5min added. Just chill and have fun as you like, the FOMO is just in people's head most of the time.
While this is very helpful idk about running out of dennies tbh... Unless you really want to go above and beyond investing into supports and everyone at absolute max skill level, the cost isn't really that much if you play the events regularly. I have the last few S ranks built and still over 2mil den, it's really not that big of a deal. If you get the battle pass it's even less of a problem.
Yeah sometimes luck is not on our side, as i'm farming this i'll be trying to figure out a rough likelyhood of encountering it per run. From the small sample size i have currently i encounter it in roughly 65% of my runs. So more often than not when aiming for the "Encounter" portals
