Esther Rolle was a very articulate and classy woman.
Rolle
@@suzettebennett816 Corrected.
Are you making a joke or are you unironically using the word articulate here? In case you're unaware, using the word to describe adult minorities has grown to be associated with racism over the years.
@@SkanaNo, I wasn't trying to be sarcastic. James spoke broken English, but Florida spoke proper English.
Black women can't be articulate and speak well?
So who taught Larry that the proper way to enter an elevator was to walk BACKWARDS INTO IT???
Good point
All of them should have wave the hands to come forward to them
I remember when show's like this were brand new and tuning in each day to catch a fresh episode of one of them. Those were the days.
yes... they were Good Times
;-)
This is an unforgettable episode
The boy has a very stubborn mother, and her stubbornness almost cost him his life. Thankfully, in part two, she finally came to her senses.
You mean the kid's ok?
Bookman should have shut that elevator down
I agree. But buffalo butt didn't know any better.
it was shut down but he ran out of signs warning people about it.
Someone asked Bookman (aka Boogah) to shut the elevator down but he had a hearing problem, haha
Typical negligent project life SMH
@@1talldaddyI've never seen this full episode but I was wondering the same thing. Why the elevator had no signs. I just hope Mr Bookman wasn't the only person managing this building
My favorite TV show growing up!
It's funny she was okay with her son possibly mentally slow but not hearing impaired.🤯
Yeah, I always thought that was weird.
Same thoughts exactly... She's ok with her son being "slow" and got deeply offended when someone suggested a hearing problem! Most parents would be happy to deal with a hearing problem than any possible mental weakness for their child.
@@gener8423exactly
@@gener8423ain't it the truth?
Huh?
I like how she (Bebe Drake) played two different characters on this show. 1. Savannah Jones (Season 2) 2. Mrs. Baker (Season 6)
She was a great multi-faceted actress.
Let's not forget she played in the movie Boomerang with Eddie Murphy.
And one of the Fridays Craig. Tell your dad I said haaaa
❤💞❣️💗🙋🏾
That was the norm with sitcoms...the same actors but different characters
She didn't also played Penny's mother?
Some people are in denial.
We all missed James Evans (John Amos) after Season 3, but there were some powerful episodes with unique, timely topics. All of the rest of the actors/actresses were able to show their acting range (Ja'net DuBois, Janet Jackson, Jimmie Walker).
Mrs Pearlie from Friday After Next really was pretty back in her days
Ohhh that's right
She got that mustache lined up too. LOL
One of my favorite scenes!
Ms. Myra from Martin lol
Larry really wanted to stay with the Evans
Oh it’s Mrs.Pearly!
Oh yeah! Completely forgot about that. Her role/main scene was hilarious...
@@KG-xt4oqshe was beautiful back then
I love this episode!
Sweet savannah Jones
Ms. Pearly with that old Wolf P. 🤣🤣🤣🫵🏽
*"LARRY!!"*
Peace to the Good Times cast.
Peace to Myra from Martin (BeBe Drake-Massey)
Larry? Can you hear me?!!! LMAO that will forever send me.
Uh oh Larry's going down‼️😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔
Watching this on March 1st 2024 😢
This was also Sweet Daddy’s girlfriend!
😮that’s scary. Hope he’s ok.
He was okay. Keith, Thelma's husband, was able to stop him from falling.
@badgerden7080 Okay
Yeah he was ok Bookman was on the bottom floor working on the elevator and was able to catch him
@@hermansmithjr561I never saw this episode I cant beleive mr bookman was there to catch him😮.....I hope Bookman wasnt the only person taking care of the building
@@badgerden7080I never saw the full episode....I thought he fell 17 stories down😮
*"LARRY!!"* 😳😮
Oh my God the elevator should have had a sign on it or it should have been boarded up😮😮😮😮 other than that I love this show😊
I love Bebe Drake 🤗
So he can only hear when being yelled at but can’t hear them yelling “LARRY DONT STEP BACKWARDS “?
That was DARK
Omg 😱 did he step back ??
Luckily, Keith came in clutch with a last minute save immediately into part 2.
The boy Larry can hear if only his mother yell at him.
When Florida tries to bring the problem to his mother's attention, the mother was very stubborn and offensive which almost cost Larry his life. Eric Herns Marietta Ga.
Ms Pearly From Friday After Next
I love this show but it needs a warning label........just kidding 😁😁......I'm trying to figure out why the elevator didn't have a sign and it wasn't boarded up.....I'm glad Larry survived
