They were 89.99 I know this because I was going to Start freshman yr and all my biys got the white with black ones, My dad would not pay that much so he got me some Solo Flights… I got clowned all summer 😢
@@the_nomadcast found a pair at Marshalls probably 12 yrs ago . Its weird they are not exactly like the 89s, wearing them today as a matter of fact. They are black with white and neon green. Tongue has a F emblem with print on top of the F that says flight. Get asked about them all the time. I think I payed like 20$😂

I grew up next to Detroit ( Inkster/ Romulus ) and my Mom could not afford to buy me some Air Jordans with a food stamp budget and ended up with these. But man I absolutely loved these shoes. This really brings back memories. I believe my color scheme was the reverse of the shoe that you show in burgundy, not red.

Man!! I left my black and white pair in my P.E. locker back in 90 and this one cat got the sticky fingers... decided to show up to school the next day after he tried to paint them with shoe whitener. Lets just say I was suspended for jumping him and taking them back 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Loved the 89’s. A low key Jordan 4 knockoff. The recent re-issue (black/ whites) materials are garbage. Feel like bricks and make my feet hurt. Nike needs to come correct with utilizing premium materials.

Have the 89's, the Legacy version which doesn't have the front eyelet straps (gives a cleaner look) and the Flight 23 with the weird plastic heel cover that hides the air unit.
Subbed. I picked up the black and white pair about 2 years ago. This was my shoe in high school. I got a pair my junior year in 1990 which was like double black as I recall.
I got the 89s (size 13) white and black for 100 bucks six months ago, now i see StockX wants 309! Looks like i got em at the perfect time
