- Sheepshead fishing in Charleston South Carolina // Calms seas were forecasted so we were pumped to take our small skiff to the jetties in hopes of snagging some sheepshead. The seas were not calm! It was one of those days that Murphy's Law (what can go wrong, will) has a hold of and it makes you question your fishing addiction. But, we managed to get some sheepshead to shake the skunk! (And lots of trash fish.)

My absolute favorite type of fishing is going offshore for grouper or mahi or tuna... yum! However, I primarily stay inshore on the flats for Redfish, Snook and Trout.
Fishing FinAddict if it swims and fights it’s my favorite to catch lol!
Catfish and bream for freshwater
Redfish for saltwater!
You've got good taste! Grouper fishing is awesome! They sure put up a fight and it's a test to get 'em away 'em structure. And isn't it awesome to sight cast a dolphin or have your bait blitzed by a tuna?! And all the inshore species... fishing is awesome!

Thanks for watching, CLO! You're right! The trailer was a quick fix. We just had to get creative to get home that day. Peppy Le Pew always finds his way to a fisherman, doesn't he? The bait! We don't fish live bait often which is why I think we forgot it. Lol.
I love flats fishing, canal fishing (for redfish, big gar and catfish), and dock fishing for snappers and sheepers!

When bait stealers are in the area try using a popping cork with a small peeled shrimp bit on the tip to suspend it from going to the bottom where the bait stealers are hanging around. Swing by Hadderells scoop up Coco the Crab artificial lure and swap out one claw with a owner mosquito #1 hook and you’ll have some fun with it.

Hey man! Thanks for checking out the channel 👊 For sheepshead, we always start on the bottom and that's typically where we find 'em. But if we're not getting bites there we'll let it hit the bottom and reel up some.
nice video, i fish out of murrells inlet and pawleys, you should buy two mics tho.
Thanks!! We've got good mics on both GoPros but don't have a good solution for the cell phone because of the waterproof case (that might be the footage you're referring too). If you have any suggestions, let us know!

Good one to use is the boya lav just helps with the wind and you can plug it in right to your phone.

@@masoncoolkid44 Thank you for the suggestion! Unfortunately, we just don't see a solution that allows us to use the phone's waterproof case and a mic. Because of this we film with the phone as little as possible but some times it's unavoidable. We also do as much as we can to increase the audio quality in post-production.

I hear ya! They can be a pain. Yakin with Jack has a video on cleaning sheepshead. That's how I do it too and find that to work best.

An oyster toadfish. Ugly little bait stealers that you'll run into fishing around rocks or oyster shells.

Thanks for watching, ENC! They're the best of the bait stealers! Using the right size hook and a sensitive rod has really helped our hook up ratio with them.
The only one I've caught was on my dads boat and my daughter was about 4 and it nailed her barbie pole and she freaked at first from how hard it hit. She is about to be 9 now and everytime we go fishing she asks to catch one.

You need to learn a new hook tie
What do you suggest? We like the improved clinch for fishing heavy structure so if we snag we lose only the hook. Otherwise we've been using the Orvis knot for a snug knot and are liking it. It's seems pretty strong.
@@FishingFinAddictyou take the line an fold it a put it in the eye of the hook and then tie it like a neus and use the tag line to tie it.... so you have a double line on the hook instead of a single line that will break easily from fighting the fish... I use 6lb test line and caught 17lb skate fish in the past off a pier with this tie knot
