I am 51 years old and just started over night stocking this past Saturday. I was told in my orientation I would be shadowing someone. Well I didn't. I was immediately thrown in fast food to put up 8 pallets and then dairy. I even stayed 30 minutes late to help. The second night was not much better. Again I worked by myself with no training. I did both these nights with hardly any sleep. The store I am working at does over $2million a week in sales. I am not sure how long I'll stick around. I love hard work, but they seemed to already take advantage of my abilities.
Sounds about right. Good luck! They have a high turnover for a reason.
@@CarnivorousJillian thanks! I called HR today and said I'm done, and I would bring in my vest and store phone this week. I have degenerative disc disease. So my back is still killing me 3 days later. It's just not worth it for me.
My sister has been working at Walmart for 17yrs. I was a dept manager of HBA and cosmetics, day shift sucks. I’ve been carnivore for over a year now and I’ve lost 65 pounds and am off all of my medications for my heart.

@@CarnivorousJillian it’s always so busy during the day that you never really get anything accomplished. I quit Walmart around 2017 then had a massive heart attack and was on all types of medication. I got tired of trying to remember to take it everyday and feeling like garbage so, I put my foot down last year in March, after my father passed from cancer. I said enough is enough so I started out eating bacon and eggs first but, now I’m hooked on just hamburger meat,salt, and water.
Yes I’m finding myself liking burger patties the most lately. The similar the better. Walmart is definitely a struggle and a short term plan. I’m glad you are feeling better.
Please do more of these videos, i work overnight at Walmart too want to do carnivore but overnights cause a lot of cravings but I will keep at it
I actually quit on May 12th :( Drinking a fatty coffee before going helped. Sometimes I would take an extra one and sip on it in a thermos that keeps it hot for awhile. Homemade jerky, etc. Not much you can eat inside Walmart. I’d have to go home and eat or bring it with me.

It also causes diabetes so be careful. I work it too and have been having sugar probs, 8 ppl have diabetes on night shift.
I've been at Walmart 20 years now. Work third shift in dairy. After the 10pm meeting everyone zones till midnight. One person does 4 aisles or a department or 2 if not zoning grocery
getting the night shift position, waiting for orientation. I'm excited for my first job at 24, but im nervous, watching this helped.

Going on my 3rd year overnight maintenance but I basically do all the fresh cleaning, all the facelifting, so painting and polishing, all the finesse work and also bathrooms, vestibules and even zoning...I am exhausted
Thanks for this video. I just got hired for the overnight stocker position. I also have social anxiety.I'm mainly worried about being too slow and them being on my back but your video helped a lot.

I have to go in tonight on my night off to paint, market decided we need two more caution zones taped and painted in the back room, since Im the only one who paints and rarely get time to paint the bailers, posts or boots on the steel...so adding two more areas to paint is just.so.smart. when I dont have the time to upkeep what we already have

Watching this because I’m trying to leave my job of a day shift CNA to become an overnight stocker. Just desperate to leave this job but want a job where I don’t talk to people as much as I do now
How do you know which one is your cart?. I went to Wal-Mart jobs website , they only have "STOCKER TEAM ASSOCIATE*. Is the same as a stocker position or is it a Different job position?
They don’t use the intercom they just text other associates if you seen so and so.
Grocery is easy, i love doing coffee and pb etc, I always get put on front wall or infants with 10-14hrs of freight it's ridiculous. I was gonna say I know you got over stock or top stock but you ain't been on a cart lol don't be a plugger for the love of God lol ppl don't read the tags, where there's 2 facings I'll see 5 because the other spots were empty so they just keep filling it with the wrong shiznit drives me nuts. Ppl rip tags out to plug them including a coach etc I can't stand when ppl don't do it right which is basically every night lol took me 2 hrs to fix the plugging in infants last night, 2 carts of orphans and claims etc. Job is killing me physically and sucki b g my soul out I think lol kudos

Do ppl get fired easily? I been here for almost 2 months and the coach always on my ass as if i ain't trying my hardest 😂
It may depend on the coach but I busted my ass for six months until I could barely walk before I quit. I don’t think they will fire people unless you are hiding in the bathroom etc and calling out. If you are putting in effort they don’t seem to fire you but they will make you feel like you are never enough….everyday.

Theres something ironic about you helping out in the soup isle and accidently making delicious soup, the soup gods smiled upon you. Honestly that "soup" looks bomb! I'm jelly send some over here :P .
