I had an idea about using just b-roll to tell a story. So I looked on YT for some examples for inspiration. Very imaginative use of the b-roll. "We're all too busy to look up from our phones." was a bit cliche and not necessarily true. I've gotten directions from strangers even in New York City. Perhaps you could have stayed with the survival of the finest theme and said something Gordon Gekko-ish about greed, ruthlessness, and competition being good. Good audio clarity and tone. Great presentation/interaction with the camera. Confident and conversational. Irony and humor in your voice 👍. Very talented. Look forward to more. 5 out of 5.
I’m shocked by how few views you have on this! I was only looking around to see whether Artgrid was worth the price (I’m trying to move away from the cheesy actor stock videos I had been using) and wow.. genuinely moving what you created!
Was about to skip when I watched half of the video but then came The Film, it was nothing but the absolute best Find to what I was looking for on Stock Footage usage and b-roll. Great content bro.
Impressive work! really! I was searching for stock footage as I work as an editor for an Austrian TV Station and am searching for something to create a cinematic opener for the NFL Conference Finals ... I somehow stumbled over your video! Keep it going - you are talented af! All the best, Andreas
Thank you, Andreas! Support like this means a lot. My legal last name is Kopmeyer but I’ve started to go by Joseph Martin professionally because it’s easier to spell and remember
I am looking to make my first short. I was wondering how cheesy it would look to use only stock footage. I found some really nice clips on a well-known website to piece together the story I'm working on. I was feeling pretty proud of myself until I added all the clips to my checkout cart and the subtotal was over a grand! I looked around on some of the freebie sites and I was frustrated to see the same quality or variety wasn't there to pull off a decent looking short. I'll check out Artgrid. Thanks!
Dude, I'm planning of starting a UA-cam channel using stock footage & voiceovers but after watching your video & your channel, I'm scared. I mean you're too good at filming, you've put a lot of effort coming up with this video & you're tooooooooooo much underrated. Your video qualit, editing, audio, everything is topnotch, atleast to me. But still you're at 6k?? What the f**k is happening? There are a lot of youtubers who don't even put 1% of thr quality you've come up with. Maybe folks at YT are high & keep recommending sh*t instead. Wish you the best of luck bro. Keep up the good work. & yeah, maybe you need to work on the thumbnails too, I strongly believe that. Infact I saw another tech youtuber who's doing great at the content but the thumbnail there's wasn't catchy either.
Yeah, it's the thumbnail, it's nowhere near the quality hidden behind that thumbnail. That's a suggestion from a long term YT consumer so, & I can't find anything lacking other than that. Infact, why don't you re-upload this exact video with an eye catching thumbnail & test out if this is actually the case? Again best of luck buddy & keep creating good content like this. I've turned on the notifications btw. 👍
Thanks for your support and for the advice on the thumbnail! Dont be intimidated by starting a channel. If it’s something you really love to do, then the views dont matter. As for quality, everyone starts somewhere! My first videos were horrendous. Its all a learning experience. Best of luck!
@@JosephMartin yeah, I am a vocalist/guitarist & figuring out which way should I go, so yeah, hope it goes well. & thanks for being so cool man. Much appreciated! Will be waiting for your next video. Peace! ✌️ Love from Pakistan! ❤️

Awsome, I think the "Thor" voice would have been better lol, but really you have a world of knowledge so relatable. It has certainly been Inspiring I might even give it ago since I've been struggling to find a team to go to work on with a few short ideas.
Awesome Film! Loved it - forgot I was watching for editing reasons and got lost in it - I guess that means it did what it was suppose to do. I'll keep watching for more. ✔✔
This is so cool. Great job on the short film. I’m wanting to unleash my inner creative. Made a few videos with my voiceover and stock images from Pexels. It’s christian content, but It’ll be cool is whoever is reading could take a quick look! ☺️
Ha thats true! Competition can be good in many ways, but of course you had missive teams on both sides working together. You could even say that Russia and the U.S. were working together (in a way) by motivating each other to do better. 😂🤷♂️
@@JosephMartin It was really the two governments that were in competition. The people who truly wanted to accomplish this seemingly impossible task cared only about the science and exploration of space. They would gladly share information for the opportunity to learn and grow if it were not for the governments that controlled their projects. Humans don't really have a problem working together when there is a common goal. It becomes a problem when outside forces with too much ego get involved and try to control for personal and monetary gain. Truly passionate people are capable of great things. All that to say great video! Very inspiring.
Your voice over sound is totally wrong! don tuse your "treated " youtubve audio setup to do sthis. You nee dmore bass, and not this harsh typoe of voice !
The short was basically a motivational video. Nice!
you left me in tears, now that's the kind of video i wanna make, a thought-provoking heartfelt makes you wonder kind of video.
Aw I’m glad you liked it! Go for it! Im sure you’ll make a great video
u are heavily underrated. please dont get demotivated by the views, keep working, one day u will get very popular for sure, just hang in there.

Ironic how the entire space achievements by the U.S. and Russia where because of direct competition of one and another 😂😂😂
