I hate that ARMY is seen as such a toxic fandom by so many. Every fandom has toxicity and unfortunately the bigger the fandom the more toxicity there will be. Most ARMY are really respectful, kind, and helpful. But I think a lot of times BTS fans are pushed over the edge by all the hateful and negative comments targeted at BTS or their fans for really no good reason at all. People shouldn't blame us for becoming defensive when racist, xenophobic, or just plain hateful and ignorant comments are made about BTS, it's annoying. I'm okay with people not liking BTS music, but so many people act like BTS music is the worst thing in the world and BTS doesn't deserve any of their success.

Fun fact about this video: the scenes with the exploding cars and all that crazy stuff were NOT greenscreened. They rarely use green screens in their videos, and this one was no exception! There’s some pretty cool footage of them making this music video if you ever decide to see how videos like this one are made!

    • @Adonna2424
      @Adonna2424 2 роки тому +15

The behind the scenes is hilarious because they told the boys that they only have a couple shots to make this work, so don't be surprised by the explosions. If you know J-hope and Jin at all, they jump at everything so it's really impressive that they were able to get the shot.

Their English songs like Butter and Dynamite mainly for mainstream purposes. This is why ignorant people like Mike Dean and Joe Budden always see BTS as a boy band that is liked only by 15-year-old hormonal screaming teenage girls. But people don't know the fact that 2 of them were actually underground rappers(they have their own mixtapes) and one of them was an underground bboy street dancer and another dancer is a major in contemporary dance. It's funny when people know BTS is crazy famous, but never try to at least understand the reasons why people love them so much. Their discography is huge. They do all genres. You just name it. Rock? Ballad? RnB? Neol? Latin? Jazz? And we won't talk about raps here. Imagine writing and rapping in 2 completely different languages? Bruh the leader himself is such a poetic lyricist, well his IQ is 148, a genius indeed. Tell us if you want to react more to BTS, and we will suggest the right songs. With that being said, armys don't force people to like them, we just ask for some basic manners. Thanks for the reaction bro and peace.

True man. It feels like they represented all the positive traits and virtues that were used to be taught in school. Not that they were perfect, far from it but for me, it is like they embody positive values, you know? That however flawed you are, just try to push past it and all challenges you may encounter, work on yourself, treat people with respect, and someday you will get there, reach your goals. I feel like, personally, if my child likes them and their music, he could do a lot worse in choosing idols or someone to emulate, you know?

If after 6mos of them watching BTS vids and not knowing them by name, knowing their story and I guess even researching a bit abt their culture and the meaning of the songs, they are just using the BTS name for clout, viewership or some such. I do not like or subscribe if I found out they are not really fans.

They're name is still Bangtan Sonyeondan which directly translates to Bulletproof Boyscouts. The name beyond the scene was more for Western audiences when they started promoting there. In all honesty we nor BTS use beyond the scene, they themselves introduce themselves as " Bangtan ". But we do us they door logos a lot. Also ARMY is an acronym.
Don't worry the rap line (not group) do actually swear in their Solo's 😂. And no you don't need to pick a favourite. A *bias* is someone that basically connects with you the most personality and artistry wise. Example I don't have a bias, I love all 7 equally which means I'm OT7 (one true 7).
Also all the effects in the video was practical.

The rappers of the group (RM, Jhope and Suga) are actually major hiphop heads. RM and SUGA specifically used to be underground rappers before they signed to Bighit. The 3 rappers have solo mixtapes too and the vocal members are currently working on theirs. All of them have released solo work as either a part of bts, or as solo artists. They have a healthy relationship that allows for it. All the members are songwriters and producers (RM, SUGA and Jhope being the primary producers and songwriters for the group). But yea the rappers of the group were inspired by many OG rappers back in the day and now each have their own specialized styles of rapping. Love these reactions btw! Hi, I saw they already recommended you Outro:Tear. The live performance is fire, the emotion and passion that song conveys always makes me feel chills. Suga wrote that songs when they were considering disbanding. They use an amazing word play. Suga uses tear as in break/rip, so disbanding would tear his heart apart. RM uses tear, as in 😢. And finally Jhope, OMG his part is my favorite one, not only because he may be my favorite member, but the emotion he puts on his verse is overwhelming. He is charge of Fear, he feared talking about disbandment. Please react to that video. Have a great day, take care 💜💜💜

This is one of my favorite songs, not just because it was a great song, but it was a song that was put out at the point of BTS's worldwide breakthrough. It's significant because the song is them saying we became successful despite the horrible times they had to get there. They came from a small company with no media support and weren't able to get the push that other Kpop companies had disposable to push their artist, so not many shows called them for interviews or appearances. And now with all their success, those shows that didn't put them on are now begging for them to come on. In the song, you can hear BTS saying "Don't even apologize, this is our last goodbye," and continue, "cause now we're blowing up."

Officially 3 are rappers, 2 of them (RM aka RapMonster and Suga aka AgustD) were big in the Korean underground rap scene before joining BTS. J-Hope's background is hip hop/street dance and learned rap from RM and Suga after joining BTS.
Officially 4 of them are vocalists (Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, V). Jungkook, who can also rap, was more interested in dance than vocals initially. Jimin trained in both hip hop and contemporary dance.
With that being said clearly they all can sing and dance.
The 3 rappers are known officially as the rap line. The 4 vocalists as the vocal line.
As a side note when you start exploring the solo work of RM and Suga/AgustD you will find that profanity in their lyrics is not something they shy away from.

Hi guys! I really liked your reactions. I like people willing to at least give an honest try into a new band or genre. That's how I got into BTS 1 year ago, I gave an honest try for 3-4 MVs then was sincerely impressed by the dance practices and fell deeply but not instantly into their whole world. Then I just wanted to know their names. They have strong hip-hop, funk, R'nB roots but branch out into various genres. What really really got me were the live concerts, and the richness of the lyrics. The vocals, the raps, the dances, the energy in concerts is incredible. I am getting up at 4 am tonight to watch their concert online, that's how great their concerts are. The music is excellent, I listened to their whole albums before reading the lyrics and loved them, but the words, the themes, the universe they have, that's also what keeps me listening and digging deeper. They have grown and evolved but I love their earlier work too. They show a lot of the process (behind the scenes, documentaries about their tours, etc) and you can see the sincerity and thoughts and work they put into everything.
I already knew Lindsey, through her reactions, very informative, and I knew her through the producer/musician/reactor who introduced her. This is snowballing in a fun way. And I have become one of the ARMYs who leave long ass paragraphs under videos ;-)

As a 50 year old female ex professional dancer & record exec who fell into the rabbit hole after Dynamite & their Carpool Karoke I really appreciate your openness to something very new. Lindsay, was already following you, love your channel (I’m Canadian & my cultural politenesses requires that I don’t leave you out). As someone who has always loved music & managed to survive working in the business I love your stance on arrogance, I lost all respect for many heroes and ventured into genres I might not have because of I was so impressed with artists as people. During my industry days (80’s) my personal preference was New Wave, preferably British, for my personal taste but I admire genius & humanity together. I once had the good fortune of spending a day in studio with David Foster, his mind is an aural unicorn that spins magic. He’s good & he knows it but he treated everyone with respect. It helped to offset the waking nightmare of Corey Hart (how NOT to use auto tune). Loving watching you all, loving the most non toxic fandom in existence. You will love Black Swan, it’s art with a capital A. As you requested in your 1st BTS video I’m looking forward to checking out bands you like that I’m not familiar with. Finally, I have a tie and will have to claim two RM & Jimin.
Would be interested on your thoughts on another artist I never thought I would be invested in until I fell into that rabbit hoke about 3-4 years ago. As I’m also a writer the brilliant lyrics were undeniable, as were the amazing videos and that star quality that’s a gift. Also another were supportive & devoted fan base. I let the noise of media misinformation keep my from experiencing the incredible musician that is Taylor Swift for too long. The behind the scenes creation of a song videos are a master class and the documentary Miss Americana is an incredibly well down look at the dangers of the music industry, especially for female artists and how it can either destroy or forge a strong woman with equally impressive artistic & business skills. Also, the Long Pond Sessions about the creation of Folklore during Covid is a fascinating look at the creative & recording process. Once you jump in, the evolution of the artist from a 14 year old given a publishing contract to global superstar is both inspiring & terrifying. You can see how easily it could have gone badly wrong. I love so many songs listing them would take hours. For a very personal & beautiful creation that touches so many of us deeply I have to recommend Soon You’ll Get Better. How did she write what of us who’ve ever had someone deeply close to us fighting cancer (or any other potentially terminal disease) think & feel so perfectly. She performed it once live in her Paris Covid charity show & I don’t know how she got through it, I was in tears watching (for me it was also my mom, I felt the same way, sadly she didn’t make it. I’m glad Taylor’s mom did).

Thank you for a fabulous reaction. I have been subbed to Lindsay and am so excited to see you 3 together.💜🤗🇺🇲💜
It is very true that this is definitely a "rabbit hole" . Also I appreciate the way that you are open to new things. God Bless and keep going.💜
It is okay to be OT7 (means you like all 7) with or without a bias.
I am OT7, however Jimin was who locked me in, in the beginning so I am OT7 with an ultimate Jimin bias.
RM was the member that jumpfrom the back of the ambulance 💜🇺🇲🤗💜

Prepare yourselves…. The music video quality is not only here … you’re going to be amazed by what these music videos look like… truly masterful and the scenes are beautiful… there’s a storyline that unfolds in some of their early music videos that will pop up to this day in newer music…. When you watch them live more…. You’re going to me amazed! Surprised nobody recommended the music videos for “fake love”, they have a song called “on” that has two music videos but one of them is one of the highest loved bc it’s kind of a performance mv but the way it is shot is masterful “on kinetic manifesto” is a MUST see….. I’m surprised nobody recommedes these or even “blood sweat and tears” but you’re never going to know how their music will sound bc they’re constantly evolving and trying new things!!! Be prepared to love them all!! Not everyone has a bias and some of have a bias and a bias wrecker which means they steal attention a bit from your bias but love them all… each member is so vital and no one is bigger than the group… this core attitude is why they’re so good, so big but so cohesive… nobody’s trying to be the spotlight…. Well our little attention craving Tae Tae can sometimes do the most for attention lol but he’s the most vocal on loving and supporting the entire group… and who and how they are off stage will blow your mind the more you know lol our powerful leader RM out of the ambulance… is a genius… and also like a giant puppy… he is the most clumsy and lack of coordination off stage as I have ever seen… we call him the god of destruction bc he always breaks stuff lol he couldn’t get himself out of the ambulance in the behind the scenes but get ready to love and laugh a lot!!!!

Baby army here, and it took me a long time to be able to even listen to them because of some toxic people and I wish that didn’t deter me. I love them and I went to see them. Their music has helped me out of dark spots. And I’m forever grateful 🥰

The ARMY defensiveness is coming from years of people's invalidation of BTS' hardwork. You will understand it further once you dive deeper.
Thank you for the genuine reaction and will follow you through the journey. Goodluck! 💜

Aww thank you so much for appreciating us as fans! And i also appreciate how you're actually doing your own research and trying to retain that information. Really, thank you for making that effort to know them better. I also loved Lindsay's energy! Gonna go have to check her out too!
Mic Drop is undoubtedly a fan favourite. i think we can all say we love it when bts goes all cool like this and call out haters 😅 while doing amazing choreo on a beat that goes hard. And yes! That guy who came out of the ambulance is RM! The leader of BTS. Actually, him and SUGA came from underground rap/hiphop scene too. idk if anyone's mentioned this yet (and sorry if im being repetitive) but they're really involved w the music they do. The 3rd rapper (and dance leader) j-hope was a locally known street dancer. He learned rapping after joining BTS with help from RM and SUGA. You could say these 3 are sort of like the pillars of BTS music creation cos the rapline do most of the heavy producing/composing/lyrics etc but the singers are slowly learning the craft too! They all love music and continue experimenting. Also that reminds me, within BTS, you might see the terms "rapline" "vocal line" "dance line" etc and thats just sub-units within the group not separate groups. Rapline is obvs- RM, SUGA, j-hope and vocal line is Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook/JK while dance line is j-hope, jimin, jungook, V(newest addition).
I just wanted to tell you dont be pressured into picking a favorite if you dont want to!! you dont have to! There are armys with biases(fav) yes but armys like us OT7s (One True 7) exist too who dont have a bias!! Either doesnt make you any less of a fan, as long as your end team is BTS :)
Maybe you could check out Mic Drop original version and see how it differs from the Steve Aoki remix? i love all versions (extended one exists too for live performances, 2 actually :)) right i think i got all that i wanted to say out it might be a bit scattered 😅
Thank you for the awesome reaction!
ps: is it too late to request for a mic drop live performance pleaaasee? i promise you'll love it! if you do make sure its the long dance break version bc there are multiple!
