Wow to think Melinda found her forever family just because someone accidentally put a 1 in front of 7. She was destined to be yours.

That's why I always say God has a sense of humor. He just mixes up families so much sometimes too. Melinda looks so much like her brother Logan you can just tell he mixed them all so they can play find the family.
A friends adopted brother told a person that when people kept saying are youuuuu suuuureee you were adopted? You look so much a like. He said yeah God was playing family match and scrambled us up a little to well so it took till I was 7 for them to match us up again. Dang now I am going to be laughing all day thinking about all the off the wall comments he made.

Its neat to look back and realize that our plans are not God's plans for us. It was no accident they had added that 1 in front of the 7.
Melinda, thank you for sharing your story. My prayer is that your story helps someone. You are stronger then you you know and you're a great person and a great mom to your daughter I know you will go far. Also I know that people that go though abuse or family issues make some of the best therapist. I hope you go far.

Jamie and Melinda were separated at some point in their lives but they also lived together before Crystqal and AAron got them. I am hoping that who ever messed with Melinda was not messing around with Jamie during that time. Jamie and Melinda you two along with AAron and Crystal have hit the jackpot with your families. You have a bond that will hopefully keep growing and growing. Scarelet you are adorable.

I was sexually abused by my real dad when i was 9, i never told anyone for years, because i was scared, worried that no one would believe me. i know how hard it is to speak about that, so for Melinda to tell her story infront of thousands of people takes alot of courage. She's so strong, I really hope that your story helps other people going through or have been through something simular to speak up, reach out for help. Things will get better

I agree. I went through some stuff as a teen and although I was scared to tell and didn't want adults to know, the friend who told was the one I became closest to, as although it was painful and scary for me when she told adults, it meant I got the help I needed. So anyone watching this - a true frind would help find the right people to tell and get support.

Melinda is such a strong and beautiful young woman. I’m so happy she was able to escape the horrible situation. I know at first she probably felt hurt and scared that her friend told someone but I’m sooo glad that she told the friend she did and her friend made the right decision to confine in someone who she knew could help. Also thank god everyone believed her and didn’t send her back home that day and started immediately on getting her out of that awful situation. I think it’s so cool how everything happened once she was in the foster care system to end up meeting y’all and joining your family. She has the most loving parents and family who are there for her no matter what and love her unconditionally. She deserves every bit of good in her life and she now has the best family possible and y’all have the best daughter 💕

Melinda, you are such a beautiful young woman. I'm so very glad that you became part of this family. You deserved to be loved, cared for, and understood. It seems like Crystal and Aaron have given you that and more. You are so lucky to have them and you truly know that. You light up when you call them mom and dad. God works in mysterious ways and he brought you to this wonderful family. You had a rough beginning but you will forever be loved for the rest of your life.

I hope one day we are financially stable enough to foster kids. We have 4 of our own but we don’t want anymore biological kids. I’ve seen so many kids that could use our love, even if it’s temporary. The police had me call (pretext phone calls) my abuser to get a confession too. It didn’t work out but I understand the brave it takes to do that and the fear the consumes you while your in the middle of it. You really are a miracle survivor. You get to own that you have chosen to live your life with your head up and not let the abuse be the end of your story. That’s awesome. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I needed a reminder I’m not alone. It’s coming up on a big anniversary of the police process and your story really helps remind me I’m a survivor not a victim. Thank you for being brave and sharing with so many.
