    I think savannah should do her story again once she gets a little older, I feel like since she’s young she looks at things a lot differently then she will when she’s older so it may be something you’ll want to retouch on so feelings don’t resurface

      Im 30 and still have a random memory and realize the actual context and abuse around it a lot then I gotta process so I wonder what her perspective will be later in life hope she and all of these children know they deserve to be loved and safe :)

    • @wall_to_wall
      @wall_to_wall 3 роки тому +19

      It’s a very critical part of foster care and adoption, particularly for children whose plan is to reunify. Because bad mouthing birth families can often lead the children to feel as though something is wrong with them. (We talked about it quite a bit in our foster parent licensing class.)

Will this poor girl be able to live with herself as an adult when anyone can google her name and know her whole story, including her patients and employers. Does that matter to crystal and Aaron? No money matters to them, that’s why they bought a mansion. They will never stop exploiting these poor already traumatized kids. They should be shunned not celebrated.

    I feel like while it’s nice to acknowledge that controlling what your female family members wear comes from a place that is ‘protective’. It contributes to victim blaming and the idea that what you wear brings danger to you. It’s always the person that brings the danger you can be ‘perfectly’ dressed and still be treated poorly or assaulted. Also, I think male family members need this message that they do not have any control over the way others dress or behave any more than your female family member would have.

    So special to have seen savannahs and lukas come into themselves and find their places in the family, I have always loved the freedom Crystal and Aaron give their children, they talk openly to all the kids about past and potential trauma, the way that savannahs has her nails done and is wearing makeup, the fact that she can express herself however she needs to and crystal and Aaron are just there to support her, and all the kids. As a mother I adore the way Crystal and Aaron parents, the children are an absolute testament to that
    Big love crazy pieces 💙💜🕉️

    One question I have is does it trigger anything for savannah with crystal having the same name and looks like her birth mom?

    Savannah is just amazing.. What a beautiful young lady. You both are lucky to have found one another. Crystal you are such a loving and kind Mom to all of your children. It takes special people to love beyond having a child grow in your belly but better yet grow from your heart...

    I still love how Savanna and Lucas came to your home and didn’t want to leave. The love shared by all especially the kid’s. This might sound weird but they were like sponges. You can buy some that are good and some that are bad. You don’t know until the wrappers are removed. Their wrappers were removed and they were like good sponges along with your family Chrystal. They came not knowing what to expect. I believe they sucked up the sense of family, unconditional love, new brothers and sisters. If they didn’t like hugs they would have to learn to like them. From the parents they chose as well as the kids from oldest to the youngest that were their brothers and sisters by choice. It’s obvious they love to give and get hugs. Savannah I know how you felt I had 4 brothers and no sisters as well as no motherly influence to teach and guide her. Well she has lots of that. She stepped into the Pettit house with all those sisters and went from a cute young caterpillar to a butterfly. She is a stunningly beautiful young woman. Lucas probably felt like wow I wanted more brothers and sisters but I wasn’t expecting this. I love his comments that come out of nowhere. Lucas gets along with everyone as well as Savannah. I really love the bond between Aurora and Lucas. He doesn’t quite understand Aurora he puts his hand out and tells her in the sweetest way do you want to show me what you want.so she grabs his hand and off they go. She is not shy with Lucas and hugs. I just loved the family dynamics when I started watching your vlogs. They came along and it seemed like are going to change the dynamics. I’m still waiting to see the change. Lmbo. The best thing is not a single child is treated the same, even when they entered the crazy house. I would bet if 2 foster kids entered a foster home and the parents are wanting to ultimately adopt 2 kids they would smother them with cloths and gifts to win their choice. You let them in your home and you and Arron just let them in home. You give them hugs welcome them to your home, then the kids took over with hugs and unconditional sense of having so many sisters and brothers. They didn’t need to see where they would fit in to the pecking order because there was none. Honestly it feels as though they have always been there. Others can learn a lot from your family. Shelly and Jared as well others could learn from them. The cousins are the same hugs, showing love but I can’t use the word accepted because it seems like they have always cousins. Way to go all you CRAZY FAMILY MEMBERS❤️

    Both their stories are valid & both their stories are their truth for any of y’all wondering why they’re different, my brother who’s now In prison has a different perspective of my family than I, but I’m 3 years younger. It’s similar to watching a car crash or someone in a accident & 2 people telling their stories… they’re going to be different but they’re the same If that makes sense. As a advocate & someone who’s state board certified some people need to realize the difference & don’t understand 🤍💜 Glad she told her story!

    A nurse is not a doctor and vice versa, but it’s an amazing medical job, nurses are so needed in our society.

    I agree how siblings can see things so differently. My older brother idolised my mom and held my dad accountable for our childhood while for me its the reverse my dad is my hero.

    I am glad that the kids have shared their stories because it demonstrates how confusing and life altering being in an environment that ultimately leads to foster care or DHS being involved. The kids are so little that they generally rely on others to try to make sense out of later on.

    Crystal;
    I can so much relate to things that Savannah went through; I was also in a toxic and abusive situation when I was younger
