@@KlaudiuszzBigBrothera That is being done in a separate video, there are always multiple ones. And there you see different fuel economies for Autobahn, Landstraße and sometimes city too. With the road!
Fuel consumption is very low. At 140kph to be under 5l\100km for such a big car is almost unbelievable! Why does everyone except very few leave diesel? Diesel engines are most efficient.
one of the biggest reasons why I would never order a car in such a bright white is because in summer or as you can see in the video when you are out in nature all the critters cling to your car
I don't know how VW did it, but this newest 2.0 TDI model is just out of this world, what an amazing engine. Wonder how they did it though, what it took to achieve such low consumption while also being so smooth and enjoyable to drive? Much higher fuel pressure? Some special kind of cylinder coating? It's just a shame they're packing it with rather bad quality cars now. This Skoda is an outlier with it's interior actually being practical and of a decent build quality without being too minimalistic, but it does come with too high of a price tag, it's hard to justify it. The rest of the VW lineup is just awful. It would be awesome if we had this kind of an engine with VW previous generation cars back when the interiors weren't just cheap plastics and minimalistic, unpractical designs.
@@Sha-Ayo VW themselves? If that was the case, people would have figured it out by now, the EA288 evo 2.0 TDI has been out for a while. As for the video, it's pretty similar to what so many other videos also show, so I guess the fuel consumption figures shown are rather accurate. So all in all, it appears the engine really is that efficient, but it would be interesting to see how long it stays so over, I don't know, maybe 200,000 KM of mixed driving.
Please don't always turn off all the safety systems, Izeezy! We - or at least I - wan't to see them. I want to see if they are annoying, in which situations they activate and how that looks.
iZeezy here replying from one of our other channels! Sadly the assistance tech in most vehicles has been so annoying and bad that it gave me a psychological Trauma! I immedeatly turn it off in any vehicle because i do not want to risk it making any sudden unneccesary movements or manouvers or beeping at me, yanking the steering wheel, vibrating while i am driving! Thats why i always turn it off and mostly always will i'm sorry but i cannot drive with that stuff on just for you and those who want to see it! For me driving with assistance tech is more dangerous than without and there are many cases that can prove this. Maybe someday we will make a video explaining and showing examples of the problems i and many other experienced drivers have with the assistance tech in vehicles
@@Catchingcars I don't think it is that bad... You just have to stay in-between the lane lines, keep enough distance from other cars and obey all other rules. And no, I am not talking about the speed warning. These VW-Products have really good assistance systems, not like other manufacturers (Hyundai/Kia are very sensitive, Renault provides wrong info and Mazda doesn't recognize speed limits very good)
@A-fy7vt say it doesnt always work like that for instance the forward assistance is annoyint when passing on the german autobahn or the lane keep is annoying when in construction zones... and in general there are alot more reasons the tech is really dumb! I'm sorry but i have to disagree with you here... and yes you said it aswell the speed waning nonsense is just the cherry on top... nobody needs this crap if they would pay attention and just learn how to drive and enjoy driving a bit more
@ Then just deactivate the features when needed, but not always (LaneAssist). Front assist won’t activate unless you are not keeping enough safety distance which is illegal. And why is Side Assist annoying? It is just a light that reminds you that you’re being passed. Yes it does flash if you turn on the indicator but it won’t actually do anything unless you are already in the other persons lane and about to really crash. And also this only works if the car you pass is not much slower, if you go past quickly it won’t even recognize it that fast!
@A-fy7vt Trust me i drive alot and there is a reason for me turning everything off. If you want we can have a live discussion about this send us an email if you want to. But it's too much typing here! Just to clarify Front assist also activates in narrow streets with cars parked on the road for instance. And the beeping that some cars do with side assist or blind spot is also annoying. I like to drive i don't want or need a machine that only sees half of the situation to make sudden movements or make noises while i am driving. These Assistance systems or some say safety systems are for people who cannot drive or do not like driving and as good as governmnets and car brands want them to be they can never replicate intuition and the forward looking and thinking of an aware and focused human being!
Those fuel consumption values are missleading. Well I do agree that 2.0 TDi 150hp is very efficient engine but test drive should be at least 12-15km at each speed to eliminate the lie of the land.
This consumption value is always tested on a completely flat section of the Autobahn, with either no wind or a maximum wind speed of 15 km/h, so the numbers are about 85-95% accurate. Achieving a 100% precise measurement is impossible due to factors like road surface, tire pressure, fuel quality, and humidity. While testing over a 12-15 km distance was suggested for greater accuracy, it’s nearly impossible to maintain a constant speed over that length due to traffic and speed limits. Therefore, our tests are typically conducted over 2-3 km
