Discover how HMAS Australia played a pivotal role in the South Pacific, from the pursuit of the elusive German East Asia Squadron to joining Admiral David Beatty's Second Battlecruiser Squadron in the North Sea. Learn about her collision with sister ship HMAS New Zealand in dense fog, causing her to miss the Battle of Jutland. Witness her post-war service, escorting the German High Seas Fleet into internment, and her eventual return to Australia. Explore the challenges she faced, the historical context of her time, and her legacy in the annals of naval history.

Hello everyone, I hope you enjoyed the video! To address the elephant in the room I am fully aware Drachinifel made a video on Australia and posted it today. It certainly is an interesting coincidence as I have planned this video out several weeks in advance. Also, I wanted to say that I read the comments on the community post I made on Monday and I'll repeat a comment that I made, I’ve read through your comments and I should clarify that the comments I discussed are more frustrating than anything and it will not have an impact on the channel and how I do things. This post wasn’t meant to be a sympathy grab or anything like that I just wanted to clarify some of my frustration on this subject.
A nice comparative piece to Drach's piece on the subject.
Yes same day 😂
Very interesting history on this ship. HMAS Australia is a memorable ship.
This is refreshing hearing good narrative on non US warships with an American accent, but many viewers will miss this asset and show no gratitude for it, as is the failing known throughout society as failure to evolve thoughts according to new developments, what Jackie Fisher thought non First Class.
Mmm ! Tsingtao beer. 😂🍻 Another cracking piece of work and many thanks. ☘️ ⚓
Nicely done, I've always just blipped over the _Australia_ given her lightly reported service history.
Are you really going to cover Capt. Muller's _Emden?_ I look forward to that!
Another very nice video. I had read about Australia, but this gave me a much better history of her.
Another outstanding video can't thank you enough for all your hard work I was wondering about how long does it take to do the research and put it together I know there all a little different but in general how long would you said you thanks you once again for your hard work I am shore its not easy
This beast would have been fantastic in early WW2, specifically the Guadalcanal campaign.
So, did you and Drach plan to release videos on Australia on the same day?
1s ahe still down there ? Guess so. You'd think she'd be sold for scrap. Not the way of the Navy ? B.S. ! Make for some interesting diving. Full disclosure, I don't so SCUBA, only muffins.
