A couple of things to address again since I'm getting a few comments on it - Pricing is innaccurate for dragon sets because of the leaked end armour update that was released to alpha. Prior to the alpha release, Unstable was at 1.5M, Strong at 2.5M and Superior at 22M. Superior is hovering at around 35M coins now which definitely changes things, but we won't know if this is the final price for certain until after this update is released. This isn't too big of a deal considering this is just supposed to be a comparison video and not a progression guide. I will have actual armour progression guides out once the end update does come out, and hopefully at a point where all armour costs are consistent and not being affected by other things. - I didn't dungeonise unstable/strong for a reason... Adaptive is a cata 5 req, Unstable is cata 10 and Strong is cata 12. People are forgetting that the reason I used Unstable or Strong in the first place is to get you STARTED (cata 0), not as a mid-tier armour set. It doesn't mean they're not bad options, I just didn't want to make this video too long by testing undungeonised AND dungeonised versions
im playing with golden head, adaptive chetplate nd the other arts are shadow assassing. i found that i had better stats in gen with the bes boost/in normal gameplay
Ironically f6 until like quite high master mode is the only time you need tank gear. That sweet spot where the floors hurt but the tanks aren't high cata enough to just use necrons
As someone else already commented, F6 is a bit of an exception. F1-5 and F7-M3 doesn't really need the tank to be using tank gear, it's literally just the terracottas and golems and then M4 boss fight and beyond
early game, if your watching this thinking 'wow, I'm gona breeze through f1', know that he has a high level profile and u probably wont be getting any ware near the same EHP or damage as him, just keep that in mind, pls do correct me if I'm wrong
Skeleton master armor is also surprisingly good. I used bottom half skeleton master, perfect floor 5 zombie knight chestplate, and tarantula helmet and completed that floor with ease
I used Skeleton master many years ago for my initial F5 completions when Superior had a catacombs 30 requirement. It'd definitely good stuff, but I'm not sure how good compared to what I tested in this video. My biggest issues with the set was the lack of EHP, but if you don't mind glass-cannoning it can be quite solid
Imo i think that superior should be before 3/4 sa because it is way cheaper and bc superior is VERY good for survivability, it is easier to progress into. The damage and survivability can be buffed if you get higher cata lvls, so you can progress into sa dealing more dmg and still being able to survive in later dungeon floors.
I am still using my unstable dragon armor at floor 6, I came here to find what upgrade I should do and learnt that I should have upgraded at least 3 floors ago 😂
Love the video! I actually had no idea how effective adaptive armor was early game and always disregarded it. Only nuance I would have with the damage testing is Wither Skeleton's pet's damage over time effect, making the actual Necron dps with this pet past the first hit much higher than FB's (Especially in the boss rooms on F7).
@@ModernSoldier That isn't actually the case with the stats you're showcasing in the video. With no attack speed modifiers, your Necron does 3m per hit vs Frozen Blaze's 3.16m. Over a period of 3 seconds with your 0.3 attack speed, Necron does 30m damage(10 arrows) +6m from the Wither skele DoT (200% of 3m over 3 seconds, 2m per tick). In that same time span of 3 seconds with 0.3 attack speed, Frozen Blaze does 31.6m(10 arrows), totalling for 36m vs 31.6m in 3 seconds. This difference is even greater against enemies that you don't kill as quickly; Within 10 seconds with a .3 attack speed (33 arrows rounded down), Necron does 99m (3m*33) + 20m Wither skele DoT (2m per tick over 10 seconds). Frozen blaze does 104.2m (3.16m*33). This totals Necron with Wither skele to 119m vs Frozen Blaze 104.2m in 10 seconds. Again I love the video and am not trying to hate, just feels a little unfair to 3/4ths Necron to be used with a DoT pet for single hit comparison.
People are starting to use skeleton master chestplate with necron as well because it lets you not have to refill quiver and deal 5% more dmg with arrows
the 5% damage bonus (multiplicitive) is good but not the reason people use it. Its still ever so slightly worse than a necron chestplate. Its used for the no arrow usage to avoid downtime
there's no point in including the price of upgrades to the armor because we're just comparing the armor sets themselves and he's providing just the clean price. the price of hpb is the same no matter what set you put it on, so why include it?
@@izayiahtrade idk whether his prices actually match but chances are they are off because the prices fluctuated after he wrote them down. in terms of hp scaling in dungeons i guess that's sorta fair but i dont think the difference is rlly that big and it's probably simpler without it. i see what u mean tho.
The irony is that I farmed the frozen blaze armor and blaze pet because I didn't have the funds to buy either. Hardest was leveling my blaze minions to max.
The weapon progression i used and is probably the best: AOTE -> spirit shortbow -> livid deggar -> Giant sword -> HYPERION (haven't gained yet but working on it) The armor progression i used and is probably the best: Hardened Diamond armor and Ender armor -> Unstable dragon -> Shadow assassin -> Necron with tarantula helmet I got my necron armor and giant sword in 3 months, mightn't be the fastest but pretty good as my first profile

Do what you want as long as you can afford it and it works

@@baklash3359 Don't forget that you can upgrade any kuudra armor several times. Basic -> Hot -> Burning -> Fiery -> Infernal. Starting at Burning, it's already better than Necron
In the endgame you aren’t going for cheap you’re going for what’s the best and the sheer damage from necron + edrag/gdrag is just too good to pass up and is pretty much required for master mode
Testing Necron and SA (The last ones) in bers would've been a great part too but i think they will just Outclass other armors easily. And i don think considering Necron Head as the bad thing for SA and Necron is fair since other G heads exist and they are just as good in there floors.Also you said you would pick Superior bcz its really good outside dung but you also said you would pick FB which doesnt make sense since FB is not that great for outside dung content.
Yeah I definitely could've just done bers the whole way, but I still think that the archer testing is useful since that's the dmg people are actually going to be dealing at that stage. Considering GHeads is fine, but it is important to note that F7 SPECIFICALLY is very expensive, and because F7 is a very high demand floor, people need to be cautious of that. In any other context you're not going to be spending much on a Golden Head so it's not as big of a deal for other floors. I'd pick both Superior and FB, and then upgrade into Necron once I get an EDrag. I'd use Superior specifically for mytho ritual (the pet luck and magic find is nice for this), and I'd use Frozen Blaze everywhere else that I can. Then when I fork out an extra 300M coins or so, I'd sell my sets + pet, buy an epic EDrag and get a necron's set. Then I'd level the EDrag, get it to 100, give it to Kat for true legendary, put a shelmet on it and now I'd be running a more versatile setup for the mid-late game. How you progress just comes down to how you want to progress and what works for you. There's nothing wrong with skipping superior, FB or both, because ultimately all the mid and late game sets are good options anyways. I was just sharing my personal thoughts at the end using the facts I gathered at the start of the video
ive seen this video before but i was comparing to gameplay now, sadly golden heads became co-op soulbound on october 12th :( now you have to do the 100 completions of the respective floor for whatever golden head you are going for. This can be a problem for players who are trying to get their first completion
Just wanted to clear something up for new players, DO NOT GET GOLDEN HEADS... at least until you have actual combat stats. Idk about adaptive, but the full set bonus you get from full shadow assassin and the added stats from the helmet are better than going golden head for the early game.
The stat bonus of the blaze pet affects master stars so FB might not be that bad in the endgame, although it would probably still be worse than necron, I would really like to see a comparison with Master stars and necron having an e drag / g drag….
FB is actually fantastic for late game. It’s only endgame where you need GDrag when it’s outclassed. In comparison to Necron Edrag, I believe a year ago it was straight up better having higher damage and EHP at Cata 40+. Although with recent updates it might not be 100% true anymore but the damage should still be very similar to Necron Edrag while still having more EHP. It’s a great option before Necron Gdrag and it’s much cheaper since Frozen Blaze loses value putting master stars on them so you can get like 9 started FB for much cheaper.
its worse than necron because you dont have dmg reduction against withers and you need edrag for m7 anyways as a dps class, a good fb set is better for non-m7 than similar necron+edrag, you need gdrag for necron to be better on average

The set bonus isn't even worth talking about because it's not as significant as just equipping a Golden Head. If it was, then I would've covered it, but to save time on the video I left it out

Янг драгон броня имбалансная как по мне, если ты хотя бы раз до этого на мастер моде был)) Для мага вайс - вполне неплохо, супериор в целом тоже просто прекрасная броня. Начинал бы только с драгон армора, и сразу до визер брони. UPD: С 20-23 каты у меня на стадии с боссом на ф6 было от 180 до 210к EHP
one thing i should mention, i tested it myself, is that full frozen blaze is better than 3/4 fb and any ghead, including necron ghead. The dheads are a bit more complicated, with f1-f3 dheads being worse than fb helm, and f4-f7 dheads being better. Also any upgrade you put on fb is going to buff it more than on necron, for instance perfect jaspers will be 40% more effective on fb than necron which will buff fb even more. On the other hand however, necron can be used with pets such as golden dragon, making it overall more useful in the actual lategame if you want really good damage. (fb still has really good damage obviously, its the equivalent of necron and edrag, but falls short of necron and gdrag) Oh also another thing, tara helm is absolute garbage in dungeons, you'd be better off with full sa than using 3/4 and tara helm (although 3/4 and ghead is obviously better)

Because I tested it in game with real gear, and fb helm with flawless jaspers outperforms any ghead. For everything else: This is common knowledge buddy. fb gets better faster than necron does with upgrades, it's simple multiplication that you should've learned in 5th grade, and tara helm sucks in dungeons because the ability doesn't scale in dungeons, which is once again simple math.
Tara helm is better, but it's also got a spider slayer 4 requirement which can be a bit daunting for a 'very early game' player. I wanted to keep things simple so I just left the set with its full set bonus as that's what most people will do. If you can get one, then yeah, the tarantula helmet is a better choice for slightly more dmg
150M for frozen blaze is not early late game. You might aswell get a fully maxed necron set with that. Plus with necron you arent stuck with a blaze pet.
What are you talking about. A fully maxed Necron set even with only recom g6 p6 and Legion is upwards of 250-300m that is not including master stars. A maxed necron set with all stars is upwards of 250m per piece
@@Airhalo3 He meant decently maxed i think... Another thing to make sure is FB is ONLY good when "decently" maxed while Necron is good in every stage. The flexibility of necron is just better imo. Not to mention max FB resell value is garbage and they take ages to sell
to the frozen blaze armor: you are fully pet locked with it as the buff of the blaze is the only thing that makes it better, then it would be way better to upgrade into a necron set as its cheaper and for the 150m you can buy a good necron set + a juju if you want to (or a felthorn reaper for berserkers) then i would also recomend not getting 3/4 necron but chest and legs necron+ maxor boots for extra speed (not necessary tho just nice to have) so for short id always go for necron over fb but besides that really good video
frozen blaze will outdamage necron unless you have an edrag which costs around 800 million coins, necron armor does provide a 10% damage reduction from withers per piece which is quite helpful for f7
I did and it's finished now. I had a whole "chaos profile" series where I literally followed all my progression advice and ended up solo'ing F7 by the end of it (using full superior). Feel free to go back and check the episodes out if you wish
Unfortunately as much as I like this video it gets one fact wrong. Superior Dragon Armor costs 40 million for the full set off of the auction house and 38 mil to craft.

@@SwordMaster3000 I can't really say yet because: - I haven't tested Primal - None of the prices have stabilised - The update isn't out, and many things could change by the time it's out I will make sure that my armour progression guide comes out AFTER the update, so I can more accurately recommend progression. Until then, I can't really say too much, aside from Shadow Assassin being more useful than it was pre-update hype

It is not a fair comparison between unstable/strong and adaptive if you dont dungeonize the dragon sets. When dungeonized, they are miles clear of adaptive.

So I think for progression is should be rotten armor, then dragon armor dungeonized and to just skip over adaptive armor entirely (for acher and berserk). @@ModernSoldier I am an ironman player so maybe that mixes up things a bit, but i used glacite armor and it did just fine for a few runs. Rotten armor only needs cata 1 which is practically nothing.
bro i got a shadow assassin set of 3/4 sa and zombie knight chestplate and i also have strong drag armor with equal enchants and reforges everything else and i even got 2 hot potatos on each sa armor but the strong drag armor still had more health, defense, strength, crit chance, crit dmg, a better price, and easier reqs
Playing tank like a bers is going to get you killed in anything past f4. Also f6 and f7 needs a tank (maybe not in f7 but if you have a mage). Using frozen balze is only worth if you need crit chance for term and is prob not worth as baby yeti or blue whale lets you survive way better or you can use a dps pet to do more dmg in the boss.
This is just not true, you shouldn’t be using a pet for hp of ur not rank ur just lossing out on dps and if u can’t do it without that pet don’t do the floor tbh and fb still gives more survivesblity that both as similar ehp but the fact you kill things faster means less things have a chance to hit u. Also u can litterly tank all non mm floors in necron easily
@@abnrml5452 I have no idea what you on about with frozen blaze but using a tank pet make you lose no DPS unless you are end game with g/edrag or are playing beers without a bow because all other pets increase DPS slightly. Also if you not one taping all the mobs without a DPS pet you should not play the floor and the 5 sec you save having a DPS pet will be less by the 1/20 runs you throw if you or one of your teammates dies.
@@siesiej1178 e drag isn’t end game at all and other pets do give noticeable dps increases you shouldn’t need to use a hp pet to survive or ur just not good enough for the floor
It really hurts the sets, as in my experience strong dragon, potentially even unstable dragon, is better than adaptive armor when dungeonized, and with the lowered cata requirements, it means that you would be able to dungeonize them before getting the full adaptive set.
@@thescoffe I mentioned why I didn't dungeonise these sets at 5:15 To build on what you're saying, yes, dungeonised unstable and strong are good options (better than adaptive even), but they aren't able to be purchased before then at all. Adaptive comes into play after catacombs 5, unstable/strong come into play at catacombs 10-12. At this rate I would just wait until you're cata 14 to get either superior or the 3/4 mixed shadow assassin set, since those will be better options and will act as longer lasting upgrades until the late game sets. Hopefully that clears up a bit of confusion. Dungeonised Strong/Unstable aren't bad options by any means, they're just too oddly specific that I don't think it's worth covering.

I made a whole new profile and created an entire Skyblock series that further proves the idea that Superior is a great armour set too, yet people still don't think it's a viable option or good in any way. If you have the money, skills and time for an F7 comp, you absolutely should not be skimping out on your armor. I wouldn't recommend this solely because it's "stupid", and at that point, you might as well just stick to superior since it's similar in power...
I use this in MM7 it does a lot more damage than necron but it has very little defense so if you can’t survive get it if you can and you want the extra damage I would get it but you need 50% stat boost from floor 10 it says this on the armor
Yeah, golden heads are hard carries. The only reason SA is even comparable to Superior is bc of the GHead buff, as shown in my non-ghead tests at 25:43. If you can afford this with no issues then I'd recommend it, but if you can't then I'd just go for superior

Reaper mask + gloomlock spam can be enough for f6/7 if you play right or have a healer on your team.
You can easily tank floor 6 in necron

The Wither Skeleton pet doesn't provide enough DoT for it to outdps Frozen Blaze. You need an EDrag at minimum to even get close

In the endgame you aren’t going for cheap you’re going for what’s the best and the sheer damage from necron + edrag/gdrag is just too good to pass up and is pretty much required for master mode

Testing Necron and SA (The last ones) in bers would've been a great part too but i think they will just Outclass other armors easily. And i don think considering Necron Head as the bad thing for SA and Necron is fair since other G heads exist and they are just as good in there floors.Also you said you would pick Superior bcz its really good outside dung but you also said you would pick FB which doesnt make sense since FB is not that great for outside dung content.
Yeah I definitely could've just done bers the whole way, but I still think that the archer testing is useful since that's the dmg people are actually going to be dealing at that stage.
Considering GHeads is fine, but it is important to note that F7 SPECIFICALLY is very expensive, and because F7 is a very high demand floor, people need to be cautious of that. In any other context you're not going to be spending much on a Golden Head so it's not as big of a deal for other floors.
I'd pick both Superior and FB, and then upgrade into Necron once I get an EDrag. I'd use Superior specifically for mytho ritual (the pet luck and magic find is nice for this), and I'd use Frozen Blaze everywhere else that I can. Then when I fork out an extra 300M coins or so, I'd sell my sets + pet, buy an epic EDrag and get a necron's set. Then I'd level the EDrag, get it to 100, give it to Kat for true legendary, put a shelmet on it and now I'd be running a more versatile setup for the mid-late game.
How you progress just comes down to how you want to progress and what works for you. There's nothing wrong with skipping superior, FB or both, because ultimately all the mid and late game sets are good options anyways. I was just sharing my personal thoughts at the end using the facts I gathered at the start of the video

ive seen this video before but i was comparing to gameplay now, sadly golden heads became co-op soulbound on october 12th :( now you have to do the 100 completions of the respective floor for whatever golden head you are going for. This can be a problem for players who are trying to get their first completion

No the full sets always aren’t better than a g head and if ur combat stats are so bad that g head is some how worse you shouldn’t be doing dungeons
The stat bonus of the blaze pet affects master stars so FB might not be that bad in the endgame, although it would probably still be worse than necron, I would really like to see a comparison with Master stars and necron having an e drag / g drag….

FB is actually fantastic for late game. It’s only endgame where you need GDrag when it’s outclassed. In comparison to Necron Edrag, I believe a year ago it was straight up better having higher damage and EHP at Cata 40+. Although with recent updates it might not be 100% true anymore but the damage should still be very similar to Necron Edrag while still having more EHP. It’s a great option before Necron Gdrag and it’s much cheaper since Frozen Blaze loses value putting master stars on them so you can get like 9 started FB for much cheaper.
its worse than necron because you dont have dmg reduction against withers and you need edrag for m7 anyways as a dps class, a good fb set is better for non-m7 than similar necron+edrag, you need gdrag for necron to be better on average

Full SA ability a good buff for dungeons, and you can swap the y helm for something
but in dungeons, you should be using a golden head so the full sa ability wouldn't work
one thing i should mention, i tested it myself, is that full frozen blaze is better than 3/4 fb and any ghead, including necron ghead. The dheads are a bit more complicated, with f1-f3 dheads being worse than fb helm, and f4-f7 dheads being better. Also any upgrade you put on fb is going to buff it more than on necron, for instance perfect jaspers will be 40% more effective on fb than necron which will buff fb even more. On the other hand however, necron can be used with pets such as golden dragon, making it overall more useful in the actual lategame if you want really good damage. (fb still has really good damage obviously, its the equivalent of necron and edrag, but falls short of necron and gdrag)
Oh also another thing, tara helm is absolute garbage in dungeons, you'd be better off with full sa than using 3/4 and tara helm (although 3/4 and ghead is obviously better)

For everything else: This is common knowledge buddy. fb gets better faster than necron does with upgrades, it's simple multiplication that you should've learned in 5th grade, and tara helm sucks in dungeons because the ability doesn't scale in dungeons, which is once again simple math.

Tara helm is better, but it's also got a spider slayer 4 requirement which can be a bit daunting for a 'very early game' player. I wanted to keep things simple so I just left the set with its full set bonus as that's what most people will do.
If you can get one, then yeah, the tarantula helmet is a better choice for slightly more dmg
I would say to skip the head for full shadow assassin as the bonus is broken 1 strength for every kill
Maxor armor is good for achers as well, and the speed is pretty nice. I use Skelly master chestplate, then 3/4 maxor till I get a golden head
Maxor is only good at insanely high cata when you have enough dmg anyway...

150M for frozen blaze is not early late game. You might aswell get a fully maxed necron set with that. Plus with necron you arent stuck with a blaze pet.
What are you talking about. A fully maxed Necron set even with only recom g6 p6 and Legion is upwards of 250-300m that is not including master stars. A maxed necron set with all stars is upwards of 250m per piece

to the frozen blaze armor: you are fully pet locked with it as the buff of the blaze is the only thing that makes it better, then it would be way better to upgrade into a necron set as its cheaper and for the 150m you can buy a good necron set + a juju if you want to (or a felthorn reaper for berserkers) then i would also recomend not getting 3/4 necron but chest and legs necron+ maxor boots for extra speed (not necessary tho just nice to have) so for short id always go for necron over fb but besides that really good video
frozen blaze will outdamage necron unless you have an edrag which costs around 800 million coins, necron armor does provide a 10% damage reduction from withers per piece which is quite helpful for f7

- I haven't tested Primal
- None of the prices have stabilised
- The update isn't out, and many things could change by the time it's out

It is not a fair comparison between unstable/strong and adaptive if you dont dungeonize the dragon sets. When dungeonized, they are miles clear of adaptive.

So I think for progression is should be rotten armor, then dragon armor dungeonized and to just skip over adaptive armor entirely (for acher and berserk). Playing tank like a bers is going to get you killed in anything past f4.
Also f6 and f7 needs a tank (maybe not in f7 but if you have a mage).
Using frozen balze is only worth if you need crit chance for term and is prob not worth as baby yeti or blue whale lets you survive way better or you can use a dps pet to do more dmg in the boss.
This is just not true, you shouldn’t be using a pet for hp of ur not rank ur just lossing out on dps and if u can’t do it without that pet don’t do the floor tbh and fb still gives more survivesblity that both as similar ehp but the fact you kill things faster means less things have a chance to hit u. Also u can litterly tank all non mm floors in necron easily
@@abnrml5452 I have no idea what you on about with frozen blaze but using a tank pet make you lose no DPS unless you are end game with g/edrag or are playing beers without a bow because all other pets increase DPS slightly. Also if you not one taping all the mobs without a DPS pet you should not play the floor and the 5 sec you save having a DPS pet will be less by the 1/20 runs you throw if you or one of your teammates dies.

I might have missed it, but how come you havent dungeonized the unstable and strong drag sets?
It really hurts the sets, as in my experience strong dragon, potentially even unstable dragon, is better than adaptive armor when dungeonized, and with the lowered cata requirements, it means that you would be able to dungeonize them before getting the full adaptive set.

To build on what you're saying, yes, dungeonised unstable and strong are good options (better than adaptive even), but they aren't able to be purchased before then at all. Adaptive comes into play after catacombs 5, unstable/strong come into play at catacombs 10-12. At this rate I would just wait until you're cata 14 to get either superior or the 3/4 mixed shadow assassin set, since those will be better options and will act as longer lasting upgrades until the late game sets.
Hopefully that clears up a bit of confusion. Dungeonised Strong/Unstable aren't bad options by any means, they're just too oddly specific that I don't think it's worth covering.

If you have the money, skills and time for an F7 comp, you absolutely should not be skimping out on your armor. I wouldn't recommend this solely because it's "stupid", and at that point, you might as well just stick to superior since it's similar in power...
I use this in MM7 it does a lot more damage than necron but it has very little defense so if you can’t survive get it if you can and you want the extra damage I would get it but you need 50% stat boost from floor 10 it says this on the armor

Yeah, golden heads are hard carries. The only reason SA is even comparable to Superior is bc of the GHead buff, as shown in my non-ghead tests at 25:43. If you can afford this with no issues then I'd recommend it, but if you can't then I'd just go for superior
