6 Forgotten Wargames to Pick Up in 2024! - Ігри
My steam library is anxiety inducing at this point 😪
Steel Armor is definitely a fantastic inclusion. There are very few really good tank sims these days, and Steel Armor is definitely one of the best you can get. I do like Steel Fury just a tiny bit more, just because I know more about the conflict in question, but Steel Armor works way better on modern systems than the very jank Steel Fury. Also you'll have to accept the fact that all the voice callouts in the game are in Russian, even if you're playing as Iranian, Iraqi or Angolan forces :)
Total conflict resistance is more than an FPS
It's better described as a mix between Mount and blade and men of War where u can ccont4ol your army in a top down view or from the ground in fps
Pretty sure I went into that!
For the price Naval Hurricane could be fun! Total Conflict:Resistance is a bit of a mess but defo gives you the action. Most interested in the hex based games here. SGS Korea for me :)
SGS Series is great and very user friendly for a wargame!
Hadn't heard of Naval Hurricane before your video. I'll have to pick it up to scratch that Jutland itch
A game that steadily improves and a very low price!
One forgotten War Game that probably no one remebers is Force 21 from Red Storm Entertainment, is from 1998, and it's pretty good. 15 mission on the game either with the USA or China set in the year 2015
I've had Total Conflic on my wishlist since it released and I've just never found the time to actually pick it up. Some of the reviews scare me a bit saying how the dev just keeps adding vehicle assets without thought of new content or balancing. A little worrying but everytime I see some gameplay I get that itch to grab it.
Another great list, I think my wishlist has grown by about 20 games since I first started watching you guys a few weeks back lol!
It is a game I view a lot more on the Arcade side of things but nice to mix it up for sure. I have had fun with the game but keep perspective on it! haha we have a lot more to come....that wishlist is gonna grow!!!!
im a military gamer, never heard of any of these games at all. The market is so saturated with random crap all this stuff disappears in teh abyss. Will try them thanks.
Check out our other lists too for inspiration!
Really? These are all fairly well known games except Naval Hurricane. And maybe the SGS games.
If you’re new to wargames I would suggest reading the newbie guide from The Avid Wargamer. U can google it
@@robinmattheussen2395 yeah and the player bases are huge..... 🤷♂️
Give Helicopter Gunship: D.E.X a look. It’s a spiritual successor to Longbow 2. I agree with others about SABOW and SF:Kharkov are the best Tank Sims out there with complex turn based campaign that lasts for weeks! Combat Missions: Shock Force 2 and the Graviteam MIUS Front, Tank Warfare Tunisia are all tens of times better than anything made
I have been playing World of Tanks since Jan 2010. It is an addiction for few millions of tankers. It is amazing that we still play this game because we're all very frustrated with a number of things. Match making being one of the largest complaints.
With all that aside I will be checking out a couple of these titles. Might be a nice change.
I have more than 30k battles in WOT since 2012, but stoped in 2020, now playing Tank SIM's only
@@maguzazmoth Which ones are you playing?
I have just over 45k battles in WoT.
@@WdyWP check out GHPC
Hi I collect old computers, I got a Commodore 64, with SSI Battle of normandy, and Steel Panthers 2 and 3, well worth a look, as are some of the other SSI titles I have seen reviews for, hope this helps. Leona
The Operational Art of War 4 is a great game system. I particulary enjoy the many Cold War scenarios and near contemporary scenarios. Lots of fun.
Hahah I enjoyed the joke about TOAW4 coming to a calculator, it would definitely be at home there :D
Haha its hard to be comedic on a wargames list but hey 😂🚀
While a bit clunky, I also had a blast playing through Panzer Elite with the Panzer Elite Three mod.
Another title well worth picking up is Iron Warriors T-72 Tank Command. That one needs some tinkering in order to get it running on Windows 10 and needs to be restarted after the completion of each mission but it's a genuinely good tank sim. Ironically using the T-55 earlier in the campaign was more fun than the later missions with the T-72. Still, my only real complaint about the game is that I would have liked more scenarios to play through.
Great suggestions thanks!
HI have the Operational Art of War and love it. I have had it since its inception and enjoy playing it. The other games I have to play. Thanks for the presentation.
You are most welcome! Its a fun game :)
Steel Panthers. Steel Panthers 2
A suggestion for your next video: Ultimate Admiral Age of Sail.
I have that game and love it.
Gunner Heat PC is a great tank game
I just may look in to Naval hurricane. Another World War I game those are hard to find.
Its slow to develop but it is moving forward!
Naval Hurricane reminded me very much of the Peter Turcan game Dreadnoughts from the 1980's. As I loved that I have leapt straight in and purchased the early access.
never even heard of Total Conflict: Resistance, ima go check it out.
Brilliant invigorating list, well worth revisiting and a firm favourite of mine being Battle of the Bulge…. 🐸😂😂😂
haha I see what you did there ;)
@@LTGamingUA-cam I’m talking waistline 🐸😎
Cool. I played the hell out of TOAW in DOS days. Will look it up
Good vid!
Great idea to feature viewer's recommendations.
Well the viewers deserve the credit for sure!
I like the Total Conflict Resistance and what it tries to accomplish. I can see the potential, but it needs to iron out some of the kinks to be great. Game (at least for me) crashes a lot and is unstable. Artillery doesn't work properly or as intended, and other bugs. Also lack of Roadmap hinders the early access experience and create some kind of anxiety when it comes to question; what next and what we can expect? At least Road to Vostok has roadmap that does give an idea what to expect next.
I miss Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis in this list.
Has to be included on the next one ;)
I also recommend Panzer Tactics HD on Steam.
Batting 1000, so far I own all titles these last 2 vids of yours😮😅
Now you have challenged me for the future! Wargames or Space Sims too?
Wargame Design Studio get SGS direct, help them out
Space Sums would be a great addition. More at a later date if you can. Love your content Direct and to the point, in concise videos. Continued good fortune. 😊😊😊😊
Ooh arrh, another war game video - I ain't seen nothin' like it in all of me life, I 'aven't! 👍
The SGS titles ARE great, but just be aware that they don't play nice on widescreen monitors which, in this day and age, is a bit of an oversight
That's odd. I play on a super wide and it runs fine ! But I do agree they are great games 😃
@LTGamingUA-cam
Really?
It's not a huge issue, but it chops the faction unit list for me. Does it on every game.
But now you have me worried it might be user error. It often is.
Loving the content. Good to see hex and counter games getting the luurve..
@@tigerpjm appreciate it. Yeah I've played all their games with no issues. Il do some checking tomorrow!
Idk if it’ll count but R.U.S.E: the art of deception is a great game that I would say is forgotten too but that’s because of Ubisoft not renewing a license and couldn’t continue to sell it. As far as I’m aware you can still get used/ refurbished copies for consoles but pc wise idk how you would get it
Used to really enjoy playing that game! I still have it on Steam.
You can't get it on PC anymore, and that sucks, but you're honestly just better off buying one of Eugen's other games, because they're honestly just much better than R.U.S.E. The Wargame and Steel Division games are really fantastic. Haven't played WARNO yet though.
@@robinmattheussen2395 I have played a bit of WARNO I’m interested to say the least but R.U.S.E just hits different. When I just had the 360 and not many options it’s sat it the top tier games for me.
@@tomcat6863 it really was great and the big MP battles!
@@LTGamingUA-cam Unfortunately for console though it was capped unit wise and with buildings being counted to that too it was at max in pvp after building buildings and defensive units you only had maybe 30-45 units to work with with the cap at 60 and at a 100 at least it’ll be better but performance dropped by what I remember happening so in the end it was still fun but compared to pc couldn’t imagine that scale and fun of those big battles
steel panthers either mbt or ww2 from the web
i havent heard of that game sense 2001.. now i feel old af.
I am a boomer and had the Steel Panthers games. Nostalgia. 😊😊😊😊
What is wrong with the M60 suspension in the into? Tanks don't rock back and forth that badly when going over ground.
It does seem a tad dramatic....they modified it! :P
@@LTGamingUA-cam Pity "Steel Beasts" (as opposed to "Steel Armour" didn't make the list).
@@whya2ndaccount Its a series so....il note this one down!
Hi Folks: Try out Hell Let Loose.
A 50 vs 50 WWll shooter.
Watch some UA-cam videos before you jump in.
See you soon on the Hell Let Loose battlefield.
still people playing toaw IV, including me
Lone Sherman
Has anyone played Force 21?
The only good games you recommend are total conflict and steel armor, which i both have. The rest is turned based BS. We have I see a big different taste in strategy games.
Yes mine is clearly a lot better 😂😂 turn based games are magnificent!
@@LTGamingUA-cam no, mine is a lot better! Real time strategy is magnificent!
1,2,3 FIGHT! 🤣
@@Hansiwansi or enjoy both? 😂🚀
@@LTGamingUA-cam Never! You fight me in this Turned based not real time comment section! Unfair battle condition! 🤣
@@Hansiwansi just see it as such a silly statement. Some of the best games ever are turn based 😉
They are forgotten for a reason.
WOT is a stupid game for dumb people full of invisible tanks, concealed system is what they call it, spg that aim with GPS system on a WW2 game and Light tanks with space era speeds. Yeah my boys and gals, what is not to like at this game ?
ToAW IV is horribly flawed. Your failure to mention this istelling.
😂😂😂
