Hi Josh, my name is Martín Dominici, I´m from Argentina. My English is a little bit rusty, so I hope you can understand me. I used to listen to your music everytime I had to study. I listened you for the very first time in 2018 when I was in my 3th year of Medicine School. Now I Became a Phisycian and a little piece of that is because of you and your piano skills. Your music help me so much when I was trying to focus on my study for the exams. So, once again, thank you very much! Please continue making so beautiful music, especially covers from Radiohead and Pink Floyd. Have a nice 2022!
this is why i love music. its just one guy playing piano but josh knows how to fill the room with just a piano. the way he streched out his own melodic ideas and reused them in different ways fits beautifully with the actual radiohead song. the songs themselves are only 12-ish minutes long, but josh streched them out into half an hour. i was listening closely every second of it and was intrigued by every note. this is that "goosebump moment", the magic of music and art in general. without some of these highly skilled musicians like radioheads members and josh, this wouldnt have existed. but it does, and it took me on a beautiful emotional ride that made my day just a litlle better. thanks!
I had recently moved to Melbourne on Sept 26th, and by chance noticed Josh's show anouncement in one of his video descriptions. I immediately bought tickets. My girlfriend and I were probably the first ones there, about 3h before the show. We dropped our coats upfront and roamed around Abbotsford Convent (bealtiful venue BTW). By the time we got back 30min before the start, there were people standing everywhere past the last row. It was great to see so many people there =) :D

Such a lovely, nuanced, sensitive performance! Super, super good! As someone who was trained at a large conservatory, I was always taught that popular music was artless and trite. Just showing any legitimate interest in popular music, drew the ire of professors. We were taught to be erudite, but I never 100% bought-in to that idea. I knew that good popular music existed no matter where it came from. Hell, in the 90s and 00s, the best new music being made came out of hip-hop. That burgeoning genera took chances and did not play it safe. It was some of the most creative and innovative music being made at the time. Your Radiohead project perfectly bridges that gap between the sacred and the profane. It blurs the line between legitimate and popular music until there's no line left.
there's never been a line. Debussy was mocked and ridiculed, just as impressionist painters sold their canvases for a meagre meal most of the time. The first review of Miles Davis Bitches Brew was an abhorrent, vile critique and most of the now legends started out being described as pariahs from the "industry" and "academia" of music. Elitists and other similar preachers are hopefully not influent enough to suppress raw talent, creative impulses and true artistry. They often come around 10-20 years later gloating about how they saw it first. There's nothing to gain from close minded-ness, and making a doctrine out of emotions is just about as coherent as fucking for virginity.
Any artist should be absolutely delighted to have Josh cover them. I would be so proud and impressed to have someone of this talent and mindfulness take my music and transform its effect without transforming its nature and purpose. This is incredibly difficult to accomplish, and I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anyone do this so delicately, tastefully, and skillfully. This is special.
