Fun fact:they forgot to make Vexen weak to fire so he actually resists it like most other enemies in re:com. But they remembered to make sure if Donald uses Blizzard that it would heal Vexen so...don't use Donald unless you're trying to use Wild Crush.

Might be the fact that I played TCG games my entire life (Yu-Gi-Oh, Force of will, etc) but I'm a fan of this game. The gameplay loop (when you figure it all out) can be a good time and you can get some crazy stacks on enemies. I wish they would make a sequel to it that improves on the mechanics they introduced in this entry, we could use more real time card games

At the end of Kingdom Hearts one Sora, Donald and Goofy were left in the realm between after closing the door to darkness which has a path leading to castle Oblivion
The realm between belongs to neither light or dark
That makes a lot of sense since I've never thought about them being in the realm between since I've always just associated them being in that patch of grass as not that

Went from Hyrule and Stumbled into Dark Souls
so to beat Riku 3 for Sora you had to rely on firend cards? I guess you could say your friends were your power!
But for real this was a great video and I can't wait for the rest of the series
The series biggest theme came to save me in the clutch
Love this video that end riku fight was the exact same way i finished him due to the STRUGGLE of D modes dodge Dueling was the only way but this was a great step up from the kh1 video cant wait for kh2 i love kh1 more but kh2 is always a fun watch you got my entire support broski 💯

Man I feel your pain right now! I'm doing another challenge with Sora using Riku's decks and yeah WONDERLAND SUCKS ASS and Riku Replica well...two out of four Sora fights the GOOF took care of him yes you can get an AMEN!
I find Vexen two the hardest fight of Sora's side just because you must break his cards or his shield blocks your attacks. It got so bad for me that I hella analyzed that if he could break me with his physical card, I said "NAH I'll try again later" so yeah Genie-Jafar and Card Soldier definitely your best friends since they can't break you or react fast enough to do so.
I found my first Key to Rewards at Atlantica too, but I lost it cuz I died on an encounter but found it again at Neverland and held on to that thing to the end!
I'm about to beat Sora's side and I'm already not looking forward to Riku's side considering my community wants me to do only Darkness level up...keep up the good work and let us pray that we never have to suffer this game ever again!

Apparently one of the character cards just mirrors whatever your opponent has. If you use it on Axel, you absorb all of his fire attacks.

Fun Fact: Vexen actually has a bug where he is actually resistant towards fire or at least any weapons with fire properties

If you're confused on which Ansem is which. The one that teaches you about Duels and Fast-Breaks is the real Ansem Seeker of Darkness, while all the other appearances prior to the final boss is DiZ.
I mean I guess that could be the only way Riku would logically gain access to Dark mode but didn't it take the Castle Oblivion card to bring Ansem, SOD out of Riku's heart completely just so he could fight him? They say that the voice that brought him to Castle Oblivion was DiZ too but I might just be misremembering it
@@myriadbIades True. DiZ did say that the Castle Oblivion card would draw out Ansem SoD. But what if DiZ meant something along the lines of "The card will bring Ansem to his fullest strength."
Honestly, I really like this game, its above KH1 for me.
Is the game horribly balanced? Oh fucking course. Things like fire boost, Blizzard Boost, Sonic Blade, Ars Arcanum, and god forbid Lethal *fucking* frame, but the gameplay loop is great, especially when doing challenge runs, because this game doesn't have a traditional defense stat, its all in the HP, and boss attacks pretty much deal set amount of damage; so by the time you're at endgame, attacks can one shot you.
It its an absolute blast to run through, and I wish the game was easy to mod because it would be so much fun, and glad you did a challenge run on this!
I once beat final marluxia without looking at the screen, I have no video of this but my brother his gf and my gf (at the time) all thought I needed to touch grass

I actually tried this exact challenge once. I made it all the way to Axel 2, where I was roadblocked for 4 FUCKING HOURS! Needless to say I decided to start the game over and just do an 80 HP run instead. It was easier, but still one slip up and I would get slaughtered. I also did a 10 AP run of Riku's story, it was equally hell.
It's insane how hard challenge running com actually is because I def would've got roadblocked at Axel if the game didn't bless me so I could get Roxas lmaooooooo

Yeah gamerchamp found out the hard way by getting the bond of flame card the only fire based keyblade card watching the 358/2 movie specifically for it to use on vexen

I cheesed Vexan when I did my 80HP run however I was using full CP & slights but if you use an organization member card they will give you full resistance to their respective element, now cuz you cannot get an org card until you beat that specific member the final time you can use Darkside when they use their enemy card however you don't get darkside until you beat Destiny Island after twilight town on Sora's story
So to work around this I had used Black Fungi which gives a random enemy card ability, side note Black Fungi can be obtained as early as traverse town before you even beat it on ReChain opposed to the GBA version where you have to be on the first set of worlds after Traverse town & its defiantly my favorite enemy card next to card solider & bandit being atk haste & combo finish respectively & I tend to grab Black fungi before I even start the game
Now with Black Fungi in hand I just threw some matches using fungi as soon as the fight started until I got Auto Life, auto life also gives you 100% blizzard resistance which trivializes Vexan 2 battle as all his attack deal blizzard elemental damage(yes even his regular combo)so as long as you don't use a nether enemy card he can't hurt you
Similar strats can be employed on other org members via Black Fungi Roulette or Darkside copying like Larxene's quick run or Axel's quick dodge however its not as reliable due to those abilities being dependent on card uses for deration an auto life last until you get knocked out once also other org members have various non elemental atks so can still do damage opposed to Vexan that only has Ice element atks
Just something most ppl don't know about this game
lastly the only enemy cards I'm pretty sure Black Fungi can't copy are White Mushroom, Silver & Gold card & if it can I've just never been lucky enough to see it
Oh ya one more ting, Calm bounty in Twilight town gives you Detonator AKA blazing Donald which only takes 1 Donald & 1 Fire but can be RC chained more times if ya use 2 fires with Donald at the front
Ya really should've got that first before fighting him as it shreds Vexan's health
Re Chain will always be my favorite odd ball of the series type game.
It is Yugioh KH battling and I love making broken builds / seeing people play it and react to the cutscenes. But even my love for this game is strained if I ever go for another 100% card collection run.
Fuck certain Enemy Cards not dropping, and yes I know about RNG Fixing but sometimes it still doesnt drop.
Anyway, still a great game to play every now and again.

i have very mixed feelings towards this game. its a very interesting game and for that i think its worth playing. but, who thought giving repliku's NORMAL attacks a CHANCE to STUN YOU was a good idea? lots of irritating design choices like that make me never want to pick this game up again

There's around 8 versions of a Lv1 run and CoM isn't the truest of the Lv1 since u level up but I'm glad that u cleared it
Yeah it's why I say sort of since there's a lot of ways you can formulate limitations but the way I did it it definitely felt like lv1 lol

people give Chain of Memories flak. but if anyything it might have the most intresting battle system in the series duue to how much you can do with it.

Now imagine. Gamerchamp beat RE:Chain Of Memories with a single card deck. a SINGLE CARD DECK. She WAS allowed to put her levels to Health but after maxing out her health the levels became meaningless. I believe the challenge was so hard that she actually had to stop playing games for a long while because her hands were physically hurt. She did her FF1 white mage only challenge playing with her feet. So I dont recommend this..... Unless you are a masochist

@@gamingdragon1057 it takes a while for my vids to get through fully into the youtube algorithm to where ppl are constantly seeing them, that and the fact that if you aren't getting constant support on a vid the algorithm basically won't promote it to the degree as other vids per say, I definitely have the creative talent for someone who could reach 10k but the ratio of who watches the vid =/= the amount of ppl that actually care to completely subscribe since the algorithm will sometimes just promote your vids anyway so sometimes ppl don't need to subscribe. TLDR I'll get there eventually lol just gotta grind it out
Rikus wonderland deck is so ass like I did platinum this game and that was almost my breaking point to quit
Now do it with one card
Its BS how they made it so ya have to gain at least 3 hp levels or 2 hp 1 atk cuz even if ya get to maleficent with only garbing the 3 exp orbs from 1 soldier or shadow at the end of every battle Maleficent will always automatically give you 3 levels & I only know cuz I've tried it before
In the GBA version you could select Dark Points before ya have dark mode But in rechain they made it so ya cant select Dark points until after you encounter Ansem on the 1st floor exit
also they nerfed Holy Burst by making it shorter when KH1.5 dropped but Dark Burst remains relatively the same duration & in the OG JP version Holy Burst was much longer so had much better DPS
I only beat ReChain Riku with 110HP min Atk & Max DP but I used a lui back end script to hack 0Exp into the game just to try Riku at 80Hp, Kinda moved on before I even tried thou 😅more or less just wanted to see if it was possible to start a min Atk 80Hp file & its only possible on ReChain with hacks
Try a 0 card run 🤣🤣
