Hi everyone. I really appreciate you taking the time to view my sketchbooks. I hope this was/is an inspiration for you. Please make sure to watch all the way through because I cover many different types of sketches and show very loose scribbles and sketches that never saw the public eye when developing game and movie concept art! Comment below and let me know about your own sketchbooks and your struggles!
I was missing this kind of real drawing content. Everything going on the digital art way, its really refreshing just to see an incredible art with some realy cool design ideas.
I know you're a professional, but I didn't expect to see this much variety in every single sketchbook. Mind-blowing! Thank you for letting us take a peek 😄
Really enjoyed seeing these sketchbooks, you have a unique style, great creativity, killer details and textures. Look forward to the Ecor 117 project art book. Themed art books is a nice interesting way to go, especially in graphite pencils and/or B&W ink. Quite a few of the more finished illustrations in these sketchbooks would be awesome in an art book too!
Please make an Ecor 117 book. I can see that easily becoming one of my favourite art books. Loving all your new videos - always get excited when ever I see you upload a new video. Thank you for all the effort you put into this channel
This is such a great inspiration. Thank you Bobby. Keep the videos coming. I'm starting my doodle sketch book with the figure eights method I saw in one of your videos. Its a great way to just flow with whatever happens. Lovely tip.
Hi.Jim from Madrid, Spain (a fellow artist and a New Yorker expat living abroad). GREAT ARTWORK! AMAZING CREATURES! INCREDIBLE CREATIVITY! This is an exciting video. Why? Usually artists like to show their finest work (right? Who doesn't?), but... what really helps to "teach" and for others to learn is understanding the thought process of the artist as well as studying his doodles, thumbnails, mistakes and of course, his/her more finished work. Personally... to be able to have a glint on the actual daily grinding work of a renowned artist as yourself is INVALUABLE as an apprentice! So thank you very much for giving us the chance if peeking a bit inside your thought process and vision. BTW... just an idea (some great artists do it too)... If you ever decide to publish a sketchbook series of your hand drawn on paper Art (good and bad and anything not under an NDA) please let me (us) know so I can purchase a copy of the book... This information is what really helps me (personally speaking) how to improve and to really expand my brain! The 500 thumbnail series is... AMAZING! Too bad I can't see it in more detail (I can spend hours just trying to learn and understanding the thought process). Can't wait to continue to watch your pencil Art work (I don't do digital). Cheers from Sunny Spain! 😁👍😎✌
For a second there, I thought I was the only one who wrote notes next to his concept art. Don’t like to doodle because I think it’s a waste of paper. I go 100% even on Art that is never gonna see the light of day. my kids think I should show my sketches because they’re too good not to be seen. But now that I see that you and I share the same passion for making everything 100% or not at all, I think I will show them.
As an occasional hobby artist who really just likes to sketch my ttrpg characters, watching this channel for a few weeks has already improved my sketches! Obviously nowhere this refined lol but it’s fun to see my ideas a little bit more evolved on the paper
A friend of mine (Bill) here in Cincinnati recently took your class at Manifest Drawing Center. I was shocked! I had no idea you were from the Cincy area originally, and was sorry I didn’t know about the class. Manifest is a bit of a haul (over an hour) for me, so I am not too involved with them. But I told my friend to let me know the next time you are doing a class at Manifest. Love your work-big fan from Schoolism.
OMG I'm really in Love with ua Artworks Sir. Being a beginner Artist, I would start sketching more often & get some skills to create a Treasure like yours.
the sheer variety of your creatures is astonishing, along with the characters and enviroments. the demons also have such a funky appearance with all the twisted muscle and warped bones making them just so demon-y :) mind if i ask, for the thumbnails, whats the best way to avoid repeating similar designs/stay unique with each one you do?
With all of the awesome art in these pages, this may seem like a strange thing to say. But I especially love the emptier pages with just a few small sketches. Those pages help me relate to you as an artist and the struggle to produce consistently (which I have struggled with)
Blown away by your work. Not since Adrian Smith's early Warhammer pencil & ink work have I seen such detailed demonic beauty. Bet you're a Wayne Barlowe fan too?
Sketchbook tours always inspire me to draw in my sketchbook, so thank you. Have you tried toned paper? I would imagine it works great with your style of work.
I have another question. For example for prehistoric animals like Paraceratherium, the tallest land mammal to ever live. Would using its skeleton + the texture of rhino skin be a good way to draw it (it's a type of rhinoceros, fun fact rhinos are defined by the shape of their back molars NOT their horns). Or understanding the skeleton of other ungulates (hooved animals) would be the best way to draw it? I would love to hear what you'd have to say.
I love your drawings! They are on another level , I really love drawing Demonic characters. Mainly large face portraits but I struggle with shading creating evil smiles and broad cheeks. Mine usually look abit off . Could you give me a few tips thankyou 👍
Man you are amazing!! Like have you taken some kinda art classes n all coz the work n all you are showing is amazed us in RL.. Keep spreading the knowledge 🤘🏼
I see that you draw on both sides of the page, ¿how do you keep the graphite from smudging to the other page when you close the book? THanks, great video!
All those sketchbook are impressive and tight ! Do you apply fixative ? Looks like they're printed, as there are no smudges or things like that. This year I wanna try a pretty sketchbook like this, aswell as keeping the "shit" one for experimenting. Do you feel more comfortable with larger sized sketchbooks ? I feel like A5 is too restrictive for me
There are good brands to use such as Canson, Strathmore, and Zenacolor. I personally use Moleskine. There's a link in the description where you can purchase it.
I bet you really like The Mist Edit: you literally brought it up later in the video. The book is good too, the movie has the better ending (even King agrees)
I have a question, for all of your drawings are you doing it from your head? And how do you plan things out when you do it from your head? I started my art journey March 23rd 2022, and I draw monsters and animals. I am a biomedical engineering major and I want to master drawing things from my head. Doing references makes me feel like a subpar artist. I would love to hear your opinions and what to do, your shit is badass man!
My sketch books…..ALL my sketch books, mow and through the years….they never can stay so perfectly pressed like they were just ironed. Am I the only one?
It's incredible ! I was wondering during your sketchbook tour, are your client works mostly in traditional medium ? And few in digital ? During the video you have a lot of client works in your sketchbook (which seems to be fantastic btw) and this question pop up in my head haha, you're work really shine through traditional medium ! It's great !
Do you ever get out to a zoo or nature preserve and draw animals from life? My wife and I do this at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle at least a few times a year. We love it.
I knew you had an impressive skillset with creature design but after watching this tour im impressed at learning how versatile your skills are, ill continue watching your videos. Thanks for sharing

This isn't a sketchbook, this is a masterpiece! Not a single page wasted with ugly scratches or a single unfinished piece 😅
That is very kind of you to say! Sketchbooks are so therapeutic eh?
Man…they look so amazing, it’s so cool that the human mind can come up with that stuff, and the human hand can put it on paper. Well done.
I was missing this kind of real drawing content. Everything going on the digital art way, its really refreshing just to see an incredible art with some realy cool design ideas.
this is the best sort of Journey. loved this glance into your imagination.
Thank you so much!
I know you're a professional, but I didn't expect to see this much variety in every single sketchbook. Mind-blowing! Thank you for letting us take a peek 😄
this video was brilliant, really fun to watch thank you for sharing your work
This channel is quickly becoming one of my favs!!!
Dude that's amazing to hear! Thanks for sticking around😄
Stunning skillz and imagination. Love your work, the creatures in particular.
Thank you very much! I'm glad you like the creatures.
I love being able to see other peoples imagination come to life thru detailed art like this. Great work!
Love this sketchbook tour very much! Cool art style and how you perform form and volume it's so nice to see

Thanks for watching!
Wow, inspiring seeing those, thanks for sharing. And much much better on ad frequency, made watching even more enjoyable.
Thanks, man.
Gems! put them all in an art book, this is the kind of stuff that's right up my street, showing your creative thinking.
I LOVE the book drawing you did, getting so much inspiration from this clip...thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you you made me drawing again. Awsome style you have.
I'm glad you like it

Amazing art by an incredible artist

Awesome! Thank you!
Salute from France.Wahou !! Amazing ! i am new to drawing, i drew one of your creation...you are an example for me ! MERCI ❤
Thank you so much 😀
So fantastic! I just want to copy a few drawings. Love the quality and the style of the drawings very much ❤
Thank you so much 😀
I would love 2 see your old sketchbooks of your old drawings.
Love your artwork and your tutorials on how to shade. Just subscribed, too. I'm going to try some of your methods in shading, too.
I'm so happy that i found this channel.
I just found your channel love your work so fare looks insane waoo man you are amazing

Being only half your age your work gives me hope that someday I can reach this level with consistency

I like making things "demon-y" I'm going to use that term🤣
Just WOW

Thank you. I try and tell aspiring artists that scribbling and loose sketching can be more powerful than a finished drawing.
Nicely done my friend
INCREDIBLE!!
A lot of your style and shading reminds me of Alvin Schwartz the scary stories illustrator. I love that stuff.
Wow! Just wow! Your art is amazing. How long did it take you to get to this level of detail?
You mean per drawing or just ability?
Good job👍
Blown away by your work. Not since Adrian Smith's early Warhammer pencil & ink work have I seen such detailed demonic beauty. Bet you're a Wayne Barlowe fan too?

I appreciate that!

Man made so many that he forgor names. I really love watching you just draw and your art is absolutely amazing.

Sick sense of volume! And material.
Your sketchbook is a diary. Mine is diarrhea. XD
Awesome drawings! How often per week do you draw. What’s your routine?
Do you use fixative in your sketchbook? You are amazing!
Thanks! I don't use any spray.
I see that you draw on both sides of the page, ¿how do you keep the graphite from smudging to the other page when you close the book? THanks, great video!
Thank you. I go over that in a lot of videos.
so rude@@bobbyrebholz2183
Wow thx you very much !
What sketchbook do you use? It looks like it lays very flat and nice
Moleskine.
whao...so, ggoodd
All those sketchbook are impressive and tight ! Do you apply fixative ? Looks like they're printed, as there are no smudges or things like that. This year I wanna try a pretty sketchbook like this, aswell as keeping the "shit" one for experimenting. Do you feel more comfortable with larger sized sketchbooks ? I feel like A5 is too restrictive for me
No fixative. I use black Prismacolor along with my graphite pencils because the wax helps keep the graphite down.
I just bought a pack of 4B's and some wax black (Prismacolor is waaay too expensive! :)
Hello, what type of paper you recomend for graphite? Or wich sketch book are you using? 🙏
There are good brands to use such as Canson, Strathmore, and Zenacolor. I personally use Moleskine. There's a link in the description where you can purchase it.
Thanks for the answer 😊
Hi! I would also like to have a demon book! Can you please tell me, which kind of book you're using? And, pen?
The sketchbook is Moleskine and I'm using a Bic ballpoint.
Great video!
I was just wondering how do you get these sketches not to smudge?
I keep my hand off while drawing. I go over my methods a lot in my videos.
I bet you really like The Mist
Edit: you literally brought it up later in the video. The book is good too, the movie has the better ending (even King agrees)

It's a good mix of traditional and digital.
Do you ever get out to a zoo or nature preserve and draw animals from life? My wife and I do this at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle at least a few times a year. We love it.
I love going to the zoo when I can!
Great works! Do you somehow fix your pencil drawings from smudging when page is done?
Thank you! I don't use anything.
Ur art and videos are just amazing, im binge watching them all rn :D
❤❤❤❤
My sketchbook looks like someone's kid took my pencil.. lol sometimes I get something good in there but its mostly skribbles and failed drawings
A drawing of a insect that will eat your face awesome, but who eats the insect? 😂
Please make a ballpoint pen tutorial 🙏
That is definitely in the works!
Please make an art book
Even though currently this video is ten days ago the creatures that you make look like they could be in a video game
Thanks. That's my job actually.
so start drawing animals first then move on to more complex creature designs?
Yes!
I think, in my before life, I woz a witch wizard, and I created these demons, you know??? It's in meh! omg!
You do know the Bible has a lot of unique creatures it talks about, you should explore that. 😊
I have a whole demon series
what a freaking monster
Read the story its not that long.
"Island of Dr. Monreau"
I hated The Mist, I thought it was a horrible movie 😂
Hahahaha to each their own. The ending was BRUTAL.
.
I knew you had an impressive skillset with creature design but after watching this tour im impressed at learning how versatile your skills are, ill continue watching your videos. Thanks for sharing
Did you do any work for Dark Souls?
No
You're insanely talented I just recently found your channel so Im about to binge lol @@bobbyrebholz2183
I would love to see u do some drawings in colored pencils, that would look insane im sure!
Funny you say that because I'm literally recording my next video with colored pencils😉
@@bobbyrebholz2183 Cant wait!
