It wasn't the time when Mamamoo was as popular as it is now, but then I knew that Mamamoo would one day become a big singer. They have grown beyond expectations and have become very good artists. We always support Mamamoo.

She's got the healthiest technique out of all of them so I'd be surprised if self-preservation was the reason. But regardless I do believe it is a stylistic choice and honestly, her breathy style is beautiful so I'm here for it.

Actually, breathy singing can be more damaging to the vocal cords. Wheein's voice has actually changed, and so did her technique. She kind of sings more nasally now if you listen closely. Hopefully she still stretches out her cords because that voice is fragile. I'd figure just basing on their voices, Solar's is the one that can take the most beating.

Wheein - Short Hair in Duet Music Festival is a wake up call for those that think she can't sing with clean vocals and can't hit high notes and don't have powerful vocals. btw, she won Duet Music Festival and it was 1 year after debut. there's also her singing Who's Your Momma in King of Masked Singer. she also rap in this song, and 1 of the judges said she's a rapper that can also sing. she fooled a judge to think she's a rapper.

I was excited to see you react to this. I really loved it. Every performance by Mamamoo on Queendom is epic. This and Destiny are probably my favorites. Their opening performance of Decalcomanie is my favorite performance of that song. Their cover of AOA's Good Luck is so creative and the energy between Hwasa and Kei on I Kinda Wish You Were Gay is amazing.

Crying is just a normal reaction to this performance; I started before they even opened their mouths (not _originally,_ because I didn't know what was coming; but every time I've watched it since). You saw those fans in the audience, the ones with the green lightsticks? Those are Moobongs - Mamamoo radish-shaped lightsticks - and the people holding them are Moomoos. And this song is _specifically_ a love letter for them - the round was supposed to be somehow dedicated to the fans; MMM had a vote to decide which song they should do, and I Miss You was a clear winner. Byul rewrote her rap for an extra tear-jerking touch. And those women backstage - some of them were crying, too, because they got it. It wasn't _just_ the vocals, though that was surely part of it. Some of them were undoubtedly Moomoos too (you saw Minnie from (G)I-DLE singing along with them - _she's_ clearly a Moomoo), and even those that aren't... they're idols too, and they'd have understood the message Mamamoo were sending, because plenty of them would have the same connection with their own fans. So yeah, no matter what angle you come at it from, crying is just the sensible response.

Fans sent in songs and groups picked from the options. MMM went with "I Miss You" and changed the arrangement to send a message to the fans. The Korean at the beginning says "missing the you, me, and us of tomorrow" roughly. Byulyi even wrote up a new rap! These girls are so incredibly humble. They started from 3 fans and busking to selling out entire arenas. They appreciate their fans so much.

If you're looking for more MMM videos to watch, I would recommend: - Their "HIP" plain clothes version. They're jumping around and goofing off but somehow their voices still sound so stable?? Wild stuff. There is also a "Dingga" and "Starry Night" plain clothes version, but the Beagle energy really pops off in the "HIP" video. They only use a backing track and- I'm just- - Their song "I Love Too (Never Letting Go)", an offical MV with English subs is available from the official MMM youtube channel. At the end, Solar is still crying and singing and?? it sounds good?? Gobsmacked, I tell you. - Their introduction song titled "Hello", which is the first song on their first album. They sang an extended version of it (which includes a rap from Moonbyul) as an introduction during the first Queendom episode. MNet has posted it. The harmonies are off the wall. - "Chico Malo", which incorporates both Latin(?) and traditional Korean sounds. This is a track released from the subunit MAMAMOO+ (Solar & Moonbyul). The MV is so fun. - Honestly, any of their joke songs. The subject matter is utterly ridiculous and yet they still manage to make it sound good. "Waggy", "Taller Than You (1cm Pride)", "Sleep in the Car", "Aze Gag" (will require a ton of context lol), "Recipe", "123 Eoi!", etc. My favorite version of Waggy is the Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook performance. They are the MASTER of ad-libs. - "Shutdown", a solo track by Moonbyul featuring Seori. Super chill and very gay. Like, so explicitly WLW. It's very brave and so beautiful. Moonbyul really gets to show off her singing and rapping and ahghghsh. - "Maria", solo track by Hwasa. I'd be interested to know what you think of her singing. - Apparently, Solar once said on a show that "Decalcomanie" was a hard song to sing, and the members all hated performing it live. I find this really funny because they definitely don't show it on stage... Again, I'd love to hear a professional's thoughts on this! - Hwasa's "Grey Christmas" would be really fun to react to. It sounds so perfectly jazzy and sultry and up her alley. The Real Live Clip on the Mamamoo channel is what I would recommend watching, but she has another version with another singer as well.
A couple of the girls from the other groups were asked before they knew who else was going to be in Queendom if their team was going to win and they said, "Yeah, if Mamamoo isn't in it." So they _knew_ ahead of time.

DESTINY and I MISS YOU are beyond my favourite songs in Kpop, and the two performances on QUEEENDOM were really nice. It's to hard to choose. But even if MAMAMOO is one of my favourite group, even if i cheered for them for QUEENDOM, i personnaly think that the best performance on the show QUEENDOM was from OH MY GIRL, with their cover of the song DESTINY (Cover of LOVELYZ an other contestant). They don't simply cover the song, they bring this song to an other world. You'll probably like, it's very emotional and some of the members have really good vocals. I hope you can react to this performance which was insane.
I became a MooMoo and interested in Kpop because of this particular performance. I don't know them, I don't know Queendom, I don't know their history, but at that time I thought, "God, how lucky is their fans. Their favorite artist is giving them a special performance, just for them. Mamamoo truly cares for them." Then I cried because even if I never knew them, their intention screamed even louder than the fans screams that it reached me, an ordinary passerby.

- Their introduction song titled "Hello", which is the first song on their first album. They sang an extended version of it (which includes a rap from Moonbyul) as an introduction during the first Queendom episode. MNet has posted it. The harmonies are off the wall.
- "Chico Malo", which incorporates both Latin(?) and traditional Korean sounds. This is a track released from the subunit MAMAMOO+ (Solar & Moonbyul). The MV is so fun.
- Honestly, any of their joke songs. The subject matter is utterly ridiculous and yet they still manage to make it sound good. "Waggy", "Taller Than You (1cm Pride)", "Sleep in the Car", "Aze Gag" (will require a ton of context lol), "Recipe", "123 Eoi!", etc. My favorite version of Waggy is the Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook performance. They are the MASTER of ad-libs.
- "Shutdown", a solo track by Moonbyul featuring Seori. Super chill and very gay. Like, so explicitly WLW. It's very brave and so beautiful. Moonbyul really gets to show off her singing and rapping and ahghghsh.
- "Maria", solo track by Hwasa. I'd be interested to know what you think of her singing.
- Apparently, Solar once said on a show that "Decalcomanie" was a hard song to sing, and the members all hated performing it live. I find this really funny because they definitely don't show it on stage... Again, I'd love to hear a professional's thoughts on this!
- Hwasa's "Grey Christmas" would be really fun to react to. It sounds so perfectly jazzy and sultry and up her alley. The Real Live Clip on the Mamamoo channel is what I would recommend watching, but she has another version with another singer as well.
A couple of the girls from the other groups were asked before they knew who else was going to be in Queendom if their team was going to win and they said, "Yeah, if Mamamoo isn't in it." So they _knew_ ahead of time.

DESTINY and I MISS YOU are beyond my favourite songs in Kpop, and the two performances on QUEEENDOM were really nice. It's to hard to choose.
But even if MAMAMOO is one of my favourite group, even if i cheered for them for QUEENDOM, i personnaly think that the best performance on the show QUEENDOM was from OH MY GIRL, with their cover of the song DESTINY (Cover of LOVELYZ an other contestant).
They don't simply cover the song, they bring this song to an other world. You'll probably like, it's very emotional and some of the members have really good vocals.

I don't know them, I don't know Queendom, I don't know their history, but at that time I thought, "God, how lucky is their fans. Their favorite artist is giving them a special performance, just for them. Mamamoo truly cares for them." Then I cried because even if I never knew them, their intention screamed even louder than the fans screams that it reached me, an ordinary passerby.
