Minnie is my favorite girl group vocalist. Her dreamy voice just suits my ear the first time I heard her singing Instagram in Queendom.

Just in case you don't know: Minnie's the first foreign main singer in a kpop girl group! Also that small sample she sang was lee mujin's song that I'm guessing she translated into thai! Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for always making great content!

@@baensun they are a pure korean,,but they parents move to us(jessica) and ausie(rose)...but their blood pure korean cause their parent is korean too

@@baensun Foreigner in the sense Minnie is not an overseas Korean, unlike Jessica and Rosé. She had no ties whatsoever to Korea before moving there as a Cube trainee.
she has a solo ost named GETAWAY and she also produced some of gidle's bsides which has a lot of that "minnie" vibe, please check them out

Minnie is Thai and she's the first ever foreign idol to become a main vocalist in kpop because of how good her Korean pronunciation is. She's super talented when it comes to languages and pronunciations and she has wrote and produced many different songs for Gidle (in Korean, English and even Japanese!)
She can play the piano and she's done it since she was a child because of the huge influence that her mother had on her so maybe that's the reason why she sounds amazing with Piano.
Also Gidle is by far one of the most unique groups in general when it comes to their vocals and you can easily distinguish the members but somehow they just work perfectly with each other.
Sadly Minnie doesn't have her Solo song yet but she has done many different covers and she also has a Collaboration with Thai artist name "Money Honey" Which is a more bright and popy song compared to Gidle's songs.
She produced/write/co-produced Tung Tung, I’m The Trend, Moon, Dahlia, Escape, Already and has plenty of collabs!

Minnie don't have a solo album but she has solo collabs, Honey Money with a thai rapper and empire with a korean singer, and about producing, she has the song Dahlia from GIDLE's album, she produced!
Dahlia is one of my fav song from them. Also I believe empire is a collab with Australian Chinese UA-cam wengie, or is the Korean version the original one?

12:45 Minnie actually started learning to sing while playing the piano so that might have something to do with her voice mixing so well with it 🥰 And she still loves to play the piano!

(G)-idle has a vocal line which includes Minnie , Yuqi & Miyeon . They all have different voices but when it’s together it sounds so beautiful . There’s a cover they do called i don’t love you that i feel shows the vocal quality. They also have a cover to Rihanna song kiss it better . Both really goodddd

Something that makes Gidle stand out is that the main and lead vocalists all have voices that are lower than the usual kpop singer. Funny enough, the rapper, Soyeon, has the highest pitched voice instead.
With Minnie's voice it's like I feel hugged and embraced by her voice, it's so warm and has such an unique tone...
Minnie blew me away , especially with Be Be Your Love and Lost Star. I know she had a great voice, but with this solo performance I look at her with much more respect as a vocalist now. I've seen solo performances from Miyeon and Yuqi, they are both impressive as well. In my opinion, the vocal line of Minnie, Miyeon, and Yuqi is the best in Kpop, after Mamamoo.
I'm so glad you reacted to Lee Mujin's "Limousine Service" and in particular this episode with Minnie. He also does a episode with Yuqi, if you didn't know. Looking forward to your reactions to Miyeon and Yuqi solo performances.
Minnie produced 2 songs in idle's new album "already" and "escape" i think you ll really like her songs
Fantastic work that Mujin performed. He completely makes his own version whatever he covers. He is a really an artist and confident singer who is stunning and unique even using his breath that makes listeners touching alot😍👏👍🌟

All of the members in i-dle have very distinctive voices from each other, and that's really rare in kpop imo and even more in girl groups. A lot of girl group members have very similar voices to me and that its very difficult to tell them apart. I-dle is one of the few ones that don't have this issue.

and yes, mujin famously arranges every single song he covers to make it his own and he's known to be a bit of a song-stealer when covering songs 💗😚

If you like her voice with a piano, you should watch her cover of Sara Bareilles' Gravity. She has written and composed songs for (g)i-dle. "Moon" and "Dhalia" on their 'I Burn' album and "Already" and "Escape" on their newest album, 'I Never Die' which dropped today.
One of my favorite covers she does is Sara Bareilles - Gravity! This video was when I knew she was gonna be my bias :.) I definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already :D
Minnie was asked recently if she was going to have a solo debut now that Soyeon, Yuqi, and Miyeon have theirs. She said "It will definitely happen, but I'm not ready yet." Now we can take speculate about how she worded that forever, but the key point was that it's 100% going to happen when she wants to do it.
Taking all things into account, here's my full theory on a future Minnie solo album. We know she wants to play instrumentals and write her own songs, not use music tracks/sample or pre-written songs. This makes the process much more difficult. She's dipped her toe doing these things separately before for I-DLE tracks, but not everything. Plus, given it's a solo effort, she wouldn't have Soyeon's help to polish things up unless Soyeon is hired as a producer. Now, it not that Soyeon wouldn't help her, but Minnie has said that she wants her solo to be composed, written, sang, and possibly directed by her and having Soyeon's name in the credits feels like a cheat. Given Minnie wants to be that in control, each song is going to take time. I believe that, like Miyeon, she's been working on an album off and on throughout the span of last year (if not longer), but unlike Miyeon it's all been self-produced. Cranking out good songs isn't easy, which is why artist do collaborate with other composers, writers, singers, producers and so on. There's nothing wrong what that. But for the full self-produced image, you got to do things the hard way.
Plus, you have to take an account that Minnie's been giving some of her songs to I-DLE for albums and such, nevermind her usual idol activities and appearances. At the moment I-DLE is filming a variety of things to keep the public's interest on them after the serge of TOMBOY, they are prepping for a concert in Germany, and lord know what ever Soyeon has planned for the back-half of the year. So Minnie's time is limited. Before all this the girls were working super hard on I NEVER DIE during a hiatus/scandal situation where they believed the group was over. So all efforts went to that. So I believe Minnie when she says she's not ready for a solo. Trust me though, when she is you'll see all the work she put into it. People talk for granted that people like Soyeon can just crank out content like it's nothing, but you have to realize Soyeon is not the norm. The amount of things that woman does is superhuman and you can't hold Minnie up to those impossible standards, especially when she's never done it before.

This is a talent show in Korea for singers who have been on hiatus for a long time to debut again, 'Sing Again'. One of my favorite singer is Lee Mujin, the audition song he brought was a song by the legendary singer Han Young Ae with the title 'Is There Anybody'.

Nice to hear that you love our Minnie :) Her voice is really gorgeous. G-idle's leader Soyeon mentioned in the interview that during predebut she tried to find vocal coaches which help girls to develop uniqueness of their voices.

You may also be interested in g-idle's member Yuqi. In contrast with Minnie, she has a really deep, husky voice which is also not usual for girlgroups. She covered Easy On Me by Adele, Rise Up by Andra Day and other great songs. Her own solo projects (songs Bonnie & Clyde, Giant) have a rock sound. Please, please, please listen to "Liar" from their new album at least on your own, part from 2:03 deserves an Oscar
