      I do wish she would mention some of the negatives as well. For example not talking about the cabinets not holding up by themselves or not having locks. I think you can give a positive review and "sell" while mentioning pros and cons.

    PJ I owe you an apology. The very first video of yours I saw about two years ago I complained about how slow you are in showing the RV. Now anytime I want a through review of one I look for you first. I love your style and it's obvious that you are a true user of RVs and not just a sales person. We have a 2024 Sol Horizon Rover, still a great product. We are very happy with it so far. It is roomy modern and with the aluminum frame it is light enough to tow easily with our 4Runner. Updated it to lithium batteries and solar so we can go off grid. It is surprising how well the floor plan works and it has everything we need for now...

    It's nice to see an RV with a lighter and more modern interior. Brown on brown on brown has been the norm for decades and I think buyers are OVER it. Always get a good walk-through with PJ. And now, for a couple of issues with the Sol:
    1) The front of the RV should have a rock guard that covers it from side to side, otherwise that nice gel coat isn't going to stay nice for long.
    2) The blinds are flimsy and doomed to fail---the strings WILL get snagged or yanked on. For an RV that in other respects has a higher end look, those fragile and cheap blinds bring the interior down.
    3.) The outdoor shower should have hot and cold water standard. Many people use their outdoor shower in preference to the indoor shower in order to keep moisture out of the RV. For the price ($26000 to $29000) it should be a basic thing.
    It's an attractive RV and seems geared to appeal to younger buyers, and more women buyers. They'll notice things like the lack of a rock guard, the flimsy blinds, and the cold-only shower. Be nice to see InTech address those issues.

    • @martylucas8557

      NepentheBlue, looks like you’re banging this up against Airstream. I know they incorporate all of the missing features you mentioned, as standard equipment.

    • @MrOffshore
      @MrOffshore 5 років тому +5

      The front has a urethane film to protect the gelcoat, it's not very easy to see, but it's the same thing that protects the expensive paint jobs on Class A Motorhomes. The blinds are day/night shades (the front window has a black roll shade)...not sure what else you could use that would be effective, meaning give the option of allowing filtered light in or blocking the light for privacy...these again are found on pretty high end motorhomes. Hot on the exterior shower is a good idea!! Love the input...thanks!!!

    I find it interesting that this trailer represents a move to a more contemporary "european " design rv (for example Swift or Hymer). In my opinion a good thing. Also, not all all of us want or can afford to buy a huge class A or 3/4 ton tow vehicle. I think this trailer makes for an excellent couples rv.

      For MEeee, if I was in the market, would be my 2nd choice. My FIRST choice would be a T@B 400 made by nüCamp because of the Alde Hot Water Heater/Furnace that ducts the heat throughout the trailer instead of the noisy & Forced Air distribution of air.

    Nice to see a modern interior and exterior in a trailer instead of the usual box exterior and brown floral interior. Looks like excellent quality. Seems like better use of interior space than the T@B or Nucamp, direct competitors.

    I saw this trailer at a recent RV show and loved it. It was perfect for us. Then when we checked out the weight, we changed our minds. This trailer is just a little too heavy to be pulled with a normal vehicle and not a truck. We want something that doesn't need a larger SUV or truck. A Sienna will tow 3550. It's sad that in Europe we saw great trailers this size being pulled by average sedans, why can't we get those here in the US.

    Like this unit, only three complaints
    1. the wet bath is not seamless, not a good design.
    With time the vibration of the trailor while on the road , the sealant will crack/ seperate and will leak into the walls and flooring.
    2. Why not have twin beds with a center space, so if someone needs to get up during the night , he or she will not have to crawl over the other one.
    3. The step to get up into and out of the trailor should have 2 steps.
    Esp for older adults and younger kids

      @Edi2003 Well, those round deep sinks are not comfortable. Flex full size tab is huge + for us too. Otherwise what big sink is for ;). Again, everyone is different, frozen food lovers would not agree with me. We do not have "coffee maker" and such, so counter-top is just for cooking. Covers is fine as counter for us. My point, there are customers like me who were undeserved in 19' trailers. Finely some manufacture thinks my way. I would also dump TV out and all that junk audio + "TV cable" :D There are some negative points in this trailer, but kitchen is straight A+, including fan.

I think now since the TV show picked up, were trading the Dawn for an airstream. Sorry for adding this. Just couldn't pass the composite floor and dual heating system with all the trims.

      All trailers run through disturbed air from the tow vehicle...and while some designs work better than others...the front sloping design (called Step Forward Design) is actually pretty well rounded and allows airflow around and under...not many campers are really all that aerodynamic and the trade-off for interior space in such a small trailer is, in my humble opinion, worth any small trade off in lost MPG.

    • @labellavita1721
      @labellavita1721 5 років тому +1

    What weight is the Dexter Torsion axle rated for?
    3.7 cu ft 3-way frig/freezer is just the right size. There are numerous things to like about this + the price. If I had my druthers the two things I'd personally prefer would be a cassette toilet instead of a porcelain throne and an Alde Hot Water Heater/ducted hot air furnace instead of the problem-prone Suburban HwH & a separate & noisy forced air heater.
    I'm surprised the shower has seams on the sides/corners instead of being a one-piece molded unit. Those seams are going to be a long-term ownership problem.

  • @renaissancepoet

    It would be so cool if Intech built a 5th wheel model because that big window up front would look great on a 5th wheel trailer. Just switch the bed and the dinette inside, and put an opening stargazer window above the bed as well to compliment the front window views. Sleeping high up and having views all around you like that would be awesome! Also add a few inches to the suspension so the trailer can follow the tow truck down some fire roads to really soak in some nature!

    I really liked it. .love the look. More of the European look. .I'm also done with the 70's
    I love the bathroom. .looks easy to clean and I love the bathroom door. .hate those halfway up doors that we always see. ..some people like their privacy in the John
    Also liked the kitchen and bedroom area. ..loved the dinette /living area. ..looks comfy. ..needs a tv there unless you can see the other one without straining your eyes. ..take the table out and you have a nice comfy couch or bed to lounge on. ..I also liked the option for the outside kitchen. ..would definitely get that since we are grilling people. ..me and hubby. ..and I would use that outside fridge as a freezer. .you could put a lot of meat in there. ..I didn't finish the video so I don't know if it's solar ready but I would add that also. .

    Aluminum frame helps reduce the weight, as long as they used a good aluminum and structurally reinforced it would be a solid frame without the weight. Wonder if you could fit two (2) propane tanks in the propane storage.

    SWEET trailer! But the shower has seams! BIG RED FLAG that this was never intended to be used. Trailer bounce and flex, the bead of sealant in the wall seams of the bathroom WILL separate, and you WILL get water behind the walls and subfloor. In 3 years you will have to replace the trailer or junk it.

    • @XLC-zd8dn
      @XLC-zd8dn 5 років тому +3

      Erin Thorkildsen - you comments are mostly conjecture, probably based on what you were told. Up north here we see a lot of old trailers that were manufactured well before one piece wrap around showers. Yes, seams in the bathroom mean more checking and more maintenance than a one piece shower/tub/wet bath. However, you are NOT doomed to lose the trailer after three years. Check the seems regularly and have caulking on hand if you find a seam has separated a bit, just touch it up.

    • @Erin-Thor
      @Erin-Thor 5 років тому +12

      XL1200C2004 - Conjecture? I’ve owned a class A Winnebago, a fifth when, two cheap trailers and now on my second Airstream. 99.9% of ALL US built trailers, inc. Airstreams have plywood floor bases. While TRUE I have NOT owned one of these, I am very familiar with the shower type shown. The walls, outer wall included, are shown as SEPARATE pieces, with a silicone bead "sealant" between them, like shower caulk in your home shower. As a trailer goes down the highway, it flexes and bends, every single surface joint in it will be stressed. In six months there WILL be cracks where the back wall of the shower has separated from the side walls, might not be a complete visible gap, but it WILL leak a little with every shower. The water runs between the walls into the insulation and into the subfloor, which as mentioned is WOOD. And not even mildew resistant plywood that you would use in your house in your bathroom, but plain plywood. Why? Because (Home depot is where I bought mine) mildew resistant plywood costs a few bucks more per sheet than plain ole plywood. So YES ya dork, the manufacturer of this trailer saved $70 by using sheets of plastic and silicone joint sealant KNOWING that it would leak, ruin the floor, but that’s O.K. since the failure would occur AFTER the warranty expired. Then the owner would have to remove the shower, AND replace the subfloor and vinyl flooring under the shower ALL because the original manufacturer wanted to SAVE about a hundred bucks and knew no one would be able to come after them to cover the repairs. How you ask do I know this? BECAUSE I HAD SEVERAL TRAILER AND MOTORHOMES THAT EXPERIENCED THESE ISSUES. Trailers and motorhomes are built to last... until just after the warranty expires. My old south wind, and Winnebago BOTH had serious plumbing issues, wanna know why? Because there was so little of the blue acid that bonds the PVC pipes together that after a few years the pipe joints started coming apart when you shut off the water, flushed, or filled up a glass. And because the entire floor is made of non-treated wood... that water damage is gong to cost you severely. And yes, my using the term 3 years was an ESTIMATE, your experience will vary depending on your use. If you only use yours a few times a year, it might last longer. But TRUST ME when I say that after seeing the shower in this video... you are so gonna have problems! And yes, I know, nothings perfect, nothing lasts forever, etc., but when your water pipe comes apart, soaks the floor, tend two or three years later your foot goes through the floor, and you have to spend weeks tearing it up to fix it, you get a wee bit frustrated when you see things like this... and you KNOW beyond a doubt that any buyer WILL have serious after warranty issues with this trailer a few years later ALL because the manufacturer wanted to save a few bucks. Seriously bud, if you can SEE in plain view how they saved a buck, sorry $70 bucks on a jury rigged shower stall... it chills me to the bone to think what lies underneath out of sight.

    The pulldown shade at the front of the trailer is not curved. You can't sit on those seats when the shade is down. She is having to hold those doors open at 3 minutes into the video. You have to store the table somewhere when the bed is made up. I found wasted space in a couple areas.

    Trailer has a really nice touch, truly an open Airstream feel at forward window. Sadly no rear bumper. I have noticed a lot of trending style trailers are coming without a rear bumper. Interesting. For price I like some things they have added. Drawers in kitchen instead of a dark cabinet you have to reach into. Our small wolf pup has no drawers. I’m not sure all the many lighting styles are really needed? Low and high as in reading or see to dress seems good enough for camping. The front dinette is nice as a convertible sofa etc. but table very small. And if they made the inset larger and use the actual pole hole with a shorter one could hold more weight and be wider. I do like the sink is covered but how do you drain dishes and wash them at same time.

    It would be better if the sink had radius corners on the inside-- they are easier to clean than the sharp 90-degree bend corners. There was no mention of the size of the bed-- some RV manufacturers LIE, and say it is a QUEEN, but a standard house-sized queen would be 60" x 80", and most RV "queens" are less than that-- I'm 6'4", so this is a BIG DEAL for me! I think the first mod I would make to this trailer is to add a fold-up counter top extension to the left of the stove. I would also like to see an option to add the Thetford built-in cassette type toilet (the kind with the outside-access cassette that has wheels, and you can empty in a toilet). Having the grey water and black water combined is great until the tank backs up into your shower--- yuck! As someone else already mentioned, a one-piece shower surround would be much better; and for us tall people, a skylight above the shower would be nice for extra headroom.
