That's crazy though that they had all this information locked away on the statues and we would never have seen it.. perhaps they intended for that to be part of the game and they changed their mind at the last second?

I think he added that info but also you do get a chance to enter the hall of heroes during the soul collection quest if you go to the arena for the arena soul

use the sign next to the door to teleport
not sure how long ago you played it, but the current version fixes it with a sign teleport
