- Episode #2! Seeing if the Ol' Black Max will run and it's does not look good! Compression check was good on the port side but the starboard side... it bad. After the compression check, looked under the water jacket then had to remove the head. I found the problem, just not sure what caused it. I assume it was hot, REAL HOT and burnt the head gasket but I'm still left scratching my head that left me more questions tan answers. The engine is not complete toast, it is fixable but I'm not going to invest the time or money to try it. I put all the parts back on and the engine will go up for sale once removed from the boat. The next video should be removing the engine and assessing the damage to the transom and the floor. Thanks for watching!

Water was getting into #2, very rebuildable, lost a piston caused damage to head, more than likely bearing shrapnel, dial bore the cylinders, most likely ran hot.
Trying to find the RIGHT parts is tough. Re-powering with a 200, new video out soon.
Thats why you have no compression. Head gasket was blown and heating up
Yup, it was a fairly simple fix but I went down the wrong rabbit hole and suspected the worst. Re-powering with a 200, should have a new video out soon with the update.
that was the rengs that done that
That is kinda what I figured, nothing else could get in there.
Broke reed valve
Pull reed blocks ,new head gasket
