Excellent video!! I have the same problem. I had no idea where the water was coming from. I just finished fixing the leak and would like to pass along that the metal seam opening was hardly noticeable. I could only slide sandpaper through the 3-inch long gap and that's about it. Caulked it up with high-grade silicone. Should do the trick. Thanks.
If I put flex seal waterproof tape around the rear end lights would that stop the leak or is the water sliding down there from somewhere else? Just need a quick fix before I take it apart, thanks.
My 2012 is also leaking I found 3 inches of water and the spare tire spot and another inch and a half on each side or the jack is and on the other side found out the water was coming in around the gasket or the filler fuel neck is also in the wheel well along with the bumper clips that go into the trunk and the tail light I also have water coming in around a seam on the inside but cannot figure out how it's getting in
@@dchandler6089 around the seams on the gas fill area. And behind the tail lights where the seams are and where the trunk drain. the seam around the trunk seal the one connected to the car
@@dchandler6089 since I have a dark car I got windshield sealer I taped up the seams so that I have nice clean lines and applied it like caulk and sealed everything up again

braddeem did you have to replace the seam and seal or just the seam . the same thing is happening in my altima

My leak is on the opposite side AND my taillight fills with water😂
