Oh my I needed this today. With all of the hate and anger, especially over ticket prices it was so beautiful to see someone reacting to seeing Bruce for the first time. This is the era I found Bruce and actually went to the last 2 nights of this tour in LA. I have not been back but have my tickets for February 2023. I didn't have to spend a crazy amount either. So happy I found this.
I was blessed to see this tour in 84. We were internet free and lived on the music and inclusion. We fed the world ( literally ) TY Live Aid, Farm Aid, Comedy Relief...the empathetic generation that is lost...
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, one of the greatest live acts in rock and roll history. Shows were regularly 3-4 hours long, and always like a great big party with all your friends. I went to my first show in 1985. Had to sit way back up in the nosebleed section. The people on the floor near the stage looked like they were having a great time, and I vowed one day to be right there near the stage. Fast forward to 1999-2000, and Bruce and the band get back together for a reunion tour after a 10-year hiatus. I go to all four shows at Staples Center in Los Angeles in September, two in Anaheim, hitch a ride to Vegas for a show at the MGM Grand, then fly to NYC for the the final four shows of the tour at Madison Square Garden in June of 2000. One of the best experiences of my life.
It cost a fortune, but I had great seats at every single show. A couple of times (once at Staples and once in Anaheim) I was right in front of the stage.
HECK YEASS!! USA!! These guys were so much damn fun and So Pro -not just American; but yeah bro American and Pro free world!!! We are not a country to liberate everybody because we don't want or need to be involved in everybody's Wars and will help people if needed but don't take us for granted and don't shit on us! China's already devalue their currency several times and stolen are trademarks and everybody lets them get away with it so. POTUS TRUMP flips 'em the middle finger and walks away... Ronald Reagan and Bush used to always say we do not negotiate with terrorists and China's just not communist but they're beyond that and Trump is like.... noooo way! he was cracking me up in Wisconsin and I would love to have heard him play some Boss music. regardless of anything music is life and it's inspirational depending on the lyrics & some people would interpret the lyrics meaning something differently than we do.
The first time I saw Springsteen was in Detroit in 1976 in a wonderful old place called Masonic Auditorium. It had a maybe a 6,000 seat capacity and it didn't even sell out. I saw him a year and a half later and the place sold out in in a couple of hours.
This is guy is around 70 and STILL is this fit and STILL putting out two hour concerts. You'll love his work. "The River" is excellent blue collar rock.
HAP thank you so much for your reaction. Loved your breakdown of this song. In the United States Bruce Springsteen is a national treasure. He has great down to earth songs. That’s why we call him the boss.❤️😀👍✌️🌼Love and peace
I live down the street from Bruce’s farm in Rumson, NJ. The red head is his wife. A Jersey girl named Patty Scialfa. The drummer “Mad Max” Weinberg was the band leader for Conan O’Brian late night show. Nils Lofgren left a solo career to join this band. 10 years ago I took my son to his home on Halloween. He & Patty answered the door themselves. I was lucky enough to see him 4 times in the 80’s, not including the hour and a half that he played at the “No Nukes” concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC. He’s a cool dude. He’s often seen walking the boardwalk in Asbury Park. People just wave & he waves back. He unexpectedly showed up at a little club in Asbury Park called The Stone Pony. I was there! He’s much older now, but was still touring until the virus. His 3 kids are all grown now, too. Thanks for a great reaction to a Jersey Guy (from a Jersey Girl)
You’re a lucky Jersey Girl! I also read and heard he is a „down to earth“ and a very noble and generous person. Read in one comment under one of his videos that somebody wrote him a letter because they wanted to put up a play in his old school and didn’t have enough money for equipment- he sent them a nice letter back with a check for the equipment :)
That is awesome about Halloween! He has always seemed to be a very grounded, normal guy. He still sounds good. I remember the 1988 Amnesty International concert in Los Angeles. Waited all night for him, he was the last act. He jammed with Sting, Peter Gabriel, Youssou D’Nour, and others on Chimes of Freedom. Great show.
Hi from another Jersey Girl!! We're so proud of Bruce and Jon, our "Jersey Boys"!! How lucky are we to have them represent our state with the best rock EVER!!!! They have never forgotten their roots, good, salt of the earth gentlemen!
The boys from Jersey we're really good but nowhere near close to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.. " Living on a Prayer" - yes because Bon Jovi was good but they were not as good as this at all by no means comparable
LCB I first saw him at Jadwin Gym at Princeton University in 1977 or 78. Small venue. I still have the ticket stub. It was only $8.50 admission. I was at Rutgers, and a guy in my dorm had an extra ticket. No Nukes had an hour and a half of musicians (Chaka Kahn & Jackson Brown❤️) are the only ones that I remember. Then Bruce came out & did an additional hour and a half. I had great seats for every show.
Another of my favorites: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. He is known as The Boss. Often sings about the struggles of everyday life, and they have many great songs. Clarence Clemons, the sax player, died in 2011. Like Jon Bon Jovi, he's from New Jersey.
They are all ripped becasue you have to be in that band. Nobody puts more into a show than Bruce and the E Street Band. Long shows, final song energy from the first note. You leave one of their shows exhausted, in the best way.
I love when people discover him after 50+ years. It’s always this video. Good to show how it’s done with musicians learning their craft, and entertaining while bringing a message. That’s who Bruce Springsteen is
My university roommate came from his hometown in New Jersey and knew him, so I saw Bruce and the Band way back in 1976/77 when they were still playing small venues. Born to Run and Born in the USA had just come out and they weren't the superstars they became. He always seemed to sing about working class America and its struggles. Great live shows.
Thank you, Hap!! I requested this video because I thought it best reflected the energy and feel of a Springsteen concert. I didn't have access to Queen concerts back in the eighties, but I saw Bruce whenever possible because his shows are an experience - a three to four hour nonstop party with the fans. Very addicting. Biggest concert I ever attended was for the Born in the USA tour. 91,000 people at the L.A. Coliseum. Just as great as a small arena. He is a storyteller in his lyrics and in his banter on stage. He was not afraid to get political. His cover of WAR was amazing. One of my favorite lines is from his song, Better Days. "It's a sad man my friend who's living in his own skin and can't stand the company." If I remember correctly, they toured so much, they traveled with their own gym. He does have nice arms.... Thank you again for reacting to something completely different! I enjoy your videos so much.
Interesting side note - Bruce and the E Street Band played the Hammersmith Odeon in 1975 like Queen, but the video is dark and grainy, you can barely tell it's him.
Many-many good Songs to choose from the great colourful palette of the Boss- Born in the U.S.A., I’m on fire, Streets of Philadelphia, Tougher than the rest, Dancing in the dark- just to name a few 😊
Born in the USA - Ronald Regan tried to use it for his presidential campaign. Boss said no. ;-) It's actually a song about the U.S.A.'s involvement in the Vietnam War. I don't think his campaign team read the lyrics. It isn't a rah-rah feel good tune. Catchy chorus though. I love all the songs you listed.
Before the E Street band made it big, a reporter for Rolling Stone Magazine wrote, "I have seen the future of rock and roll, and its name is Bruce Springsteen." Now the band has played all over the world, is legendary in the US, and still touring. In the mid-80's, during a particularly soul-destroying period of my life, this was this band that got me through it. "You know you're blue when the music can't pull you through." Several of their songs are about escape. (Now it's Queen and Angelina that can get me through most days.)They were, and probably still are, one of the hardest working bands ever. The drummer often had to put his hands in a bowl of ice water after a concert to stop the pain, swelling and bleeding. Oh, that crowd sound at the end might sound like booing, but they are yelling "Bruuuuuce."
HAP3SPEAKZ I saw The Boss and the magnificent E Street Band live twice, to us in Europe Bruce is very special, today he is very much our idea of what America could be. RIP Clarence Lemmons.
Rest In Peace big man, you are missed. I'll say it again, so proud of our Jersey boys Bruce and Jon!! These guys, HUMONGOUS stars, can walk around their hometown and state without bodyguards, show up on the Jersey shore boardwalk with their families and go small bars hang out and jam with their fans. I don't think life gets better than this! How lucky we are that they are "OURS"!!!!?? Thanks for the terrific reaction!
Bruce is almost like a symbol of America if that makes sense 😂😂. He’s just so cool. Great reaction and I love the bunny rabbit. Please consider reacting to Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA”.
Bruce started lifting weights in the 1980s when he was in his 30s. If you look at older video footage of him in the mid- to late 1970s, he wasn't so packed with muscle when he was in his 20s. :-)
My nephews born in the early-mid 1980s don't know a time in life without Bruce. There's a lot to admire (sheer stamina and power in those lyrics) BUT I CAN NEVER NOT STRUGGLE TO MAKE OUT (AS IN "HEAR" ) WHAT HIS LYRICS ARE WHILE WATCHING or LISTENING TO HIM. Yes, it's my private tragedy and I've come to think I must be alone in the world. Never ever did I hear one of his songs without strain... A word or a string of words, a phrase, YES, will ring clear...but in between I just keep losing him. And I'm American. His shows are the stuff of legends and he is a poet of the working class...but this mere mortal would need a lyric video.
I am just seeing a few reaction reviews posts about Springsteen from people I would not expect to have interest in him !!!! Thank you for your time and effort !!!!
Love your reaction brother! Always surprising for me when someone is discovering Bruce for the first time. (He's 71 now) I guess it is a big word though lol Great video! I'll check out more of your channel, thanks!
Stevie Van Zant “Little Stevie” also part of the group. He was in the TV show “The Sopranos”. He was also in the Christmas movie with Kurt Russell called “The Christmas Chronicles”. They got locked in jail with Santa. It’s a great flick for the holidays. Make a note of it!
Have you seen the 2019 U.K. movie "Blinded by the Light"? Set in Luton, England, in 1987, it's "the coming-of-age story of a British-Pakistani Muslim teenager whose life is changed after he discovers the music of Bruce Springsteen." The soundtrack has more than a dozen of his songs, including 1975's "Born to Run" and 1973's "Blinded by the Light" (a 1977 cover version of which by the U.K.'s Manfred Mann band reached No. 1 in the U.S. and No. 6 in the U.K.).
Listen to “Cadillac Ranch” from the 1980 Tempe concert....greatest performance I’ve ever seen!!! Love to see your reaction.....saw Bruce in concert twice...it’s the best two shows I’ve ever seen!!! Bruce just turned 71 last week....we’re the same age....hard to believe!!
I saw him in early 1976 just as the Born To Run album came out. Before this he was just "cultish" popular. Plays for 3 hours and leaves it all on the stage. Great storyteller live between songs to set them up. I saw him again on the tour this video was filmed from (1985). Have seen him several times after that...the latest in 2014.
Great reaction to my all time favorite artist! The e street band are such a force to be reckoned with! Id recommend Badlands, Jungleland, Backstreets, Prove it All Night and Candy's Room. Bruce was my first show ever when I was 8 years old I've seen him around jersey many times and have had the chance to have a full on conversation with him once. One of the best moments of my life!
Oh yes such a classic from 'The Boss'. You're taking me back to my youth today with your reactions and I'm loving it. Try listening to The Streets of Philadelphia a song written from the point of view of an Aids victim and written for the movie Philadelphia. A truly powerful heart wrenching song. Glory Days is another Springsteen classic to check out.
Clarence Clemons on the sax, (RIP) was amazing. Saw Bruce live a few times, he puts on an amazing concert - always over 2 hours. love the Boss - welcome to another rabbit hole. Check out "The River" ( the whole album is phenomenal)
I don't think there's ever been a band that had more fun on stage. There was a performance of "Out in the Street" in New York from 2000 that I think was the most joyous performance I've seen.
The band is the E-Street Band...they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame separate from Bruce whose also in there. Bruce is from New Jersey, still lives there. His concerts run 3-4 hours, incredible energy....listen to Cadillac Ranch 1980 Tempe concert...you’ll be blown away!!!
And now I'm off to dive down another rabbit hole. Haven't thought of Bob Seger in years. He has some amazing songs also. Great storytelling and a great voice! NIght Moves... Against the Wind.. and those are just off the top of my head.
Alto Reed from the Silver Bullet band and his chill inducing sax on "Turn the Page". 🎷💋 Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger, and Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Steve Earle, Melissa Ethridge, George Thorogood and a handful of others representing Heartland Rock. Straightforward and authentic. Great stories that spoke to the fading rust belt of the US in the 70s and 80s.
The Boss? Sorry I forgot your still a baby in rock. I wouldn’t know much about hip hop. Another American solo artist with a huge rabbit hole is John Mellencamp, “Pink Houses, “Cherry Bomb” Jack & Diane” Small Town”. John is from my town in Indiana “Small Town”. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of my absolute favorites and an excellent song writer/performer. Couldn't pick my favorite song of his if my life depended on it. I have an emergency compilation CD of his in my car. Whenever I'm feeling down I pop that sucker in and I never fail to feel better after a few tracks. Every song you listed is amazing.
My music hero. Watch Springsteen and I Great movie about fan's stories from Concert's. Nothing like seeing him in concert My last Concert in 2016 in Philly was 4 hours and 6 minutes. No breaks. . Blinded By The Light. Great movie about a young boy who lives in England and discovers Bruce. True story. It changes his life. Bruce loved it. It's on HBO. Listen to Thunder Road.,Bobby Jean, Jungleland, Rosalita.. Bruce fan's are known as Tramps. FYI 🎸❤️
He was a cool president and I was watching a speeches in the other night from back in 1995 before he was ever in Congress. He was going through his book " Dreams of My Father" & wow wow and to grow up during that time and being so multi fast and it is kind of like a kaleidoscope would have to be very very hard on him even though I'm sure other people were finding him intriguing even when he was younger.
HAP3SPEAKZ I saw The Boss twice live here in Europe, the first one was a 4 hour long concert, unforgettable!! There is not a Bruce Springsteen lyric that is not important to hear.
When Bruce started hitting the big time he was being dragged in the media for being a skinny little guy so he hit the weights and this was him a few years later basically giving his critics the finger.
I don't think that Bruce Springsteen would block you but I'm not saying that they won't but I doubt it. Some groups are really cool and they love their music to be enjoyed in shared and then there are some that are peevish about it.. PARTY IN THE USA!! This right here is the best American rock band and 3-4 hour concerts super freaking expensive & these guys were worth every dime 1985+ 4 hours would pass and they're still rocking away and I'm like tired.😂😂😂 Streets of Philadelphia is a beautiful song and then there's also Born in the USA but I'm sure others have mentioned them. they've got a wild-card of stuff but just a few off hitters that you would probably enjoy listening to a couple of since you haven't heard anything by them. did you notice the miles-long of people?? you would see them because they would have a big screen up and you would definitely hear them regardless of where you were
You would love the "USA for Africa We Are the World" song & video. For Bruce Springsteen - I highly recommend the offical mvs for: Streets of Philadelphia, Human Touch, My Hometown, & Waitin' On A Sunny Day.
Max Weinberg, the great E Street Band drummer, was Conan O’Brien’s house drummer for like 10 years. The 2 had almost too much comedic chemistry. And don’t get me started on Little Stevie. An actual angel among mortals.
I like your reaction and deductions. Bruce Springsteen and everyone in The E Street Band are just simply the best! But I have to ask - and it is a serious question, not an attempt to be rude (as English is not my mother tounge there might be better words to use, although I don't know them) How can it be that a person your age has not heard of Bruce and his eminent band?????
@@HAP3SPEAKZ Then all I can say is "better late than never". And how very very fortunate that you've found them now 😄😄😄. You have plenty of happy hours ahead of you, should you choose to listen through all his releases. Have fun!
A great Americana band . Part of most people personal soundtrack in the 80s and 90s . I believe there is a newer song out called Rise up -(city of ruins) ua-cam.com/video/CapO4lucqH4/v-deo.html very timely. Great request!!
Only other band I can think of that has a sax player that remotely comes close to Clarence , but no tamborine would be George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers.
The way I see it, the Big Man's sax had it's own voice. A real integral part of their sound and very identifiable, much like Bruce's harmonica. There is a great song that describes how they met. Can't remember the title, I'm rusty on my Bruce facts, but I recently watched an interview with Clarence describing that night. Miss him.
Oh my I needed this today. With all of the hate and anger, especially over ticket prices it was so beautiful to see someone reacting to seeing Bruce for the first time. This song made him and his band a household name.......it came out in the summer of 1975!!!

LOL, "that drummer" never takes his eyes off Bruce because all hell can break loose in a song. So fun!
Bruce is the ultimate showman, but also a great poet. Read some lyrics Born in the USA about a vet returning from Nam disillusioned
You ain't lived until you see him do this song live.
This kid says about what I did when I first saw Bruce in 1975.
Don't worry, you will always hear when Clarence does his solos, meanest sax man out there. RIP Clarence.
Ohh yea! Damn he's good and they're all good but their concerts were more like of three or four hour party and those guys would keep going forever.
Bruce performed at The Concert for New York, for 9/11, first responders, firefighters and police
The Big Man had a sound all his own. RIP Clarence
When Bruce started out, he was a little skinny guy. He said he started working out to build up his endurance for his 3-4 hour shows.
Anything Bruce is poetic
born to run is a true masterpiece all the way
You haven't lived until you've seen Bruce live.
Bro how have you never heard of "The Boss"? One of the best musicians and songwriters ever!
If you grew up in my neck of the woods you'll understand. 😉

His shows are the stuff of legends and he is a poet of the working class...but this mere mortal would need a lyric video.
I love this song!!! Thank u for ur awesome 👏🏼 reaction 🎵🎧❤️
I am just seeing a few reaction reviews posts about Springsteen from
people I would not expect to have interest in him !!!! Thank you for
your time and effort !!!!
Best rock song ever!
Bruce Springsteen was a giant musician in the US, he was even from my state New Jersey! Listen to Born In The USA!
Bruce puts more into one song then most acts put in a whole album.
The drummer is Max Weinberg. Worked on the Conan O'Brien show for many years. You can see many clips of him on UA-cam
Clarence Clemont the sax player sadly passed away in 2011...
That's very unfortunate to hear. Thanks for informing John.

HAP3SPEAKZ “The Big Man” Clarence Clemons (not Clemont)
Ok thank you.
That man was the bomb!!
The song "Born To Run" is from 1975 but this live version is from 1985.
Another one with big sax is Bob Seger “Turn the Page”. It’s the first note played. You hear it you know what song it is. He is a great story teller🔥👍
Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger, and Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Steve Earle, Melissa Ethridge, George Thorogood and a handful of others representing Heartland Rock.
FYI 🎸❤️
Bruce is 3rd behind Elvis and The Beatles with the most #1 albums. Tied with JZ for 3rd place. Not bad company. Bruce is huge in Europe.
Haha of course they’re jacked.. they’re Jersey Shore boys. Right down the road from my house, as a matter of fact
Oh yeah. Boss gonna show you how to jam out. Thanks.
If you think that’s good wait till you see he makes a full Horn section, now that is something to behold.🎼❤️🇦🇺
Barack Obama: "I'm the president, he's the boss"
He was a cool president and I was watching a speeches in the other night from back in 1995 before he was ever in Congress. He was going through his book " Dreams of My Father" & wow wow and to grow up during that time and being so multi fast and it is kind of like a kaleidoscope would have to be very very hard on him even though I'm sure other people were finding him intriguing even when he was younger.
Max Weinberg on the drums....The “Big Man” Clarence Clemons on sax....the Big Man died several years ago....
London 2013...concert Bruce doing “Dancin’ In The Dark”.....gotta react to it!!!!!
I think he started going too the Gym so he’d be fit enough to do his 3-4 hour shows, which is norm for their concerts.🎼❤️🇦🇺🎅🎸🎄🕺🏻💃🎊🎭🎉🪅🎸
Not sure if anyone else commented, but, just fyi…..Bruce is in the USA for Africa video you watched. He was the one doing the duet with Stevie Wonder.
Clarence Big Man Clemons played (American) football in college. He blew out his knee in a car crash on his way to try out for the NFL.
Yeah, he was a blocking back in college for future NFL star Emerson Boozer!
Love it!!! That kind of attitude is hard to come by these days.
Bruce Springsteen's from New Jersey. He'll always be a guy from New Jersey
Got some soul too
I don't think that Bruce Springsteen would block you but I'm not saying that they won't but I doubt it. Some groups are really cool and they love their music to be enjoyed in shared and then there are some that are peevish about it.. PARTY IN THE USA!! This right here is the best American rock band and 3-4 hour concerts super freaking expensive & these guys were worth every dime 1985+ 4 hours would pass and they're still rocking away and I'm like tired.😂😂😂 Streets of Philadelphia is a beautiful song and then there's also Born in the USA but I'm sure others have mentioned them. they've got a wild-card of stuff but just a few off hitters that you would probably enjoy listening to a couple of since you haven't heard anything by them.
did you notice the miles-long of people?? you would see them because they would have a big screen up and you would definitely hear them regardless of where you were
Bruce is the guy who did the duet with Stevie Wonder in the USA for Africa video
You would love the "USA for Africa We Are the World" song & video. For Bruce Springsteen - I highly recommend the offical mvs for: Streets of Philadelphia, Human Touch, My Hometown, & Waitin' On A Sunny Day.
React to Dancing In The Dark 👍🏼
I may have heard perhaps of a famous song. But if you grew up in my neck of the woods ... you'd understand why I have not heard of him as such. Hope that answers it. 👍🏽 and no offense taken.

@@HAP3SPEAKZ May I ask?? Where are you from Hap?
@@HAP3SPEAKZ Then all I can say is "better late than never". And how very very fortunate that you've found them now 😄😄😄. You have plenty of happy hours ahead of you, should you choose to listen through all his releases. Have fun!
@@HAP3SPEAKZ Lucky you to have all his fantastic music to discover - there's heaps and heaps of it! 🤗
Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band has a sax.
A great Americana band . Part of most people personal soundtrack in the 80s and 90s . I believe there is a newer song out called Rise up -(city of ruins) ua-cam.com/video/CapO4lucqH4/v-deo.html
very timely. Great request!!
Bruuuuuuuuuuce!
Only other band I can think of that has a sax player that remotely comes close to Clarence , but no tamborine would be George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers.
Great comment thanks for answering it.

Miss him.
I'll just pitch in with Alto Reed from Bob Seger Silver Bullet Band. Very important part of the live shows.
@@ms.chuckfu1088 oh forgot about him. Dang what a bad brain fart on my part. Thanks.
@@lowrider4266 There are others, but Clarence has gotta be #1. And Hank Carter should get his due.
You've had to heard of "Born in the USA"
So cool seeing "first reactions" to Bruce. Love it! (P.S. how the hell do you not know who Bruce is or have never heard BTR before??)
What about a band with both a piano and an organ?
React to We Are The Champions Live in Buenos Aires.
No need for gym for building muscles. They played like this for three-plus hours a night.
It was the 80’s
Watch more my man
You’ll learn more from him
It's called a video anthology.
You haven’t heard of Bruce springsteen…where you been dude
