How to whip the end of your lines

This is an easy How-to whip the ends of your lines when they are damaged or when you are simply splitting or cutting a line to make two lines. This very easy and YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF! 😊

In the inland Towboating world we call this serving a line. We use strands of lock line known as Cow tail in the place of what you're calling whipping line.
This is actually becoming a lost art amongst mariners as the youngsters don't have the patience for the old ways and usually just use electrical or duct tape.
Thanks for putting this out there, maybe it will help the traditional knowledge live on.

@@aquaholic3 I'm technically retired now lol. But the Inland waterways consist of the Western rivers. Mississippi, Arkansas, Ohio, Illinois and many other rivers.
