Hi mate just a tip hydrangeas better pruned end of feb - mar the heads protect them from frost & causing a disease but it’s what the customer wants at end of day gd luck for 2024👍
Yeah I have since learnt, although the customer asked so I thought I would have been the right time the customer seems pretty clued up so I went alone. Thanks for the tips
Yeah always try to keep the customer happy with in reason you got the right attitude & it brings in repeat customers which is gd for the future, I don’t advertise anymore for work for that reason as ppl & contractors are happy 👍
Thing is you should advise the customer when to prune and why, point out the risks if you do it at the wrong time. If they still want it done, then you have covered yourself if it gets frost damage and they can't blame you. Lots of people say it's what the customer wanted, at the end of the day they want to get paid and keep the customer sweet. But just cover your self Incase. Another tip on Hydrangea,if you come across a climbing hydrangea, you prune after flowering in the summer. Get yourself pruning books on shrubs and trees, there's various reasons to prune properly and at the right time. Depends on what type of customers you have, you will come up against some that know their stuff and will pull you up if you fuck up. All the best for this year 👍 Love splitting logs so satisfying 😊
@@HDGardenCare I’m all good mate I’ve only had two jobs this January and one of my regulars with soft landscaping we got to keep pushing on cheers mate 👍
Hey man great video as always! Do you charge set price for maintenance? The first job in your video was quite diverse I’d be interested to know how you charge the customer when it’s that kind of garden 👍🏼
Happy new year mate …do u think it’s possible to start a basic gardening business mainly mowing and hedge trimming with no experience and learn on the job ??

I charge per visit I'm not to bother about what I'm doing if it keeps the customer happy! Thanks for the comment.
Happy new year mate! How much were you paying for green waste be the new place? I got very lucky with where I take mine.
I'm not sure I'm as of yet to phone them. I'll tell the price on video if I'm recording when I take a load up!
Not hating just curious did the bleachy water kill/damage the grass?
No, it ran into the boards that acted as a gully for the water.
👍
Top man
