Thanks for keeping the dialogue going on this issue. We need to put Canadians first, and be very selective about who we let in to this country.

I’m a ticketed carpenter in Vancouver and it’s dead slow right now in single family residential. We don’t need more trades, we need better paying jobs because the indians have driven wages into the ground.

I immigrated here during Harper's time. I definitely miss those times, economic stability thru 2008 recession, affordable housing and costs. We definitely exchanged an economist for a school drama teacher.

Onterible had many job postings after and even more now for the trades finally paying well now, but not enough to compensate for the high increased costs of living. My kids have no hope of remaining there and will hopefully follow us out of province as housing costs are unobtainable in onterible . Sad and just a result of over populating our country with absolutely no thought to infrastructure when bringing in so many people.
I don't think provincial conversation are important enough to be held private. Citizens have a right to know what is said in these meetings.

I work in pest control in Quebec. 20 years ago bed bugs and cockroach were almost inexistent in my area. Since the large influx of newcomers it is insane. These neighborhoods were clean but now that it is full of our new friend the buildings are literally destroyed. I'm not even surprised anymore when i do an inspection and found that 20 out of 24 apartments in a building are infested and i mean nightmare style infested...

In retrospect I would like to state that I really regret alot of the hate I heaped on Stephen Harper as a naive leftist. I was under the spell of punk rock, michael moore, noam chomsky and the No Logo movement and developed an immature hatred for anything on the conservative or right wing side simply for the sake of it. I believed in all the lies of multiculturalism, soft on criminals attitude, and unlimited immigration, thinking Canada was big enough as a country to maintain it, not taking into account economic factors as well as housing, social and cultural issues or the end results of mixing. I helped bring alot of this about with my thought waves manifesting in the material energy.

Foriegn Dr's come to Canada and are told they are under qualified...the Dr receives the necessary credentials, obtains a Canadian passport then they leave because having the Canadian passport means they can make 3-4 times more income overseas.

I wasn't a fan of Harper, but he certainly was right and when he was PM things never ever got anywhere near this bad. In my city, immigrant students have pretty much every service industry job. Every restaurant, every retail store, fast food places, delivery drivers, uber/lyft, convenience stores, security guards, almost all temporary immigrant students. Can't even get work from temporary agencies, they have no positions to offer! Unemployment rate is nearing 10% here, which of course is measured using census data and polling which only includes Canadians. Canadians are unemployed because temporary immigrant students are taking the jobs Canadians need. Thankfully I have a job, but I hate to think what I'd do if I lost it.
The Conservative Party ran such a lacklustre campaign in 2015 that I thought the whole mess was fixed. It is.
Stephen harper also signed us up for the UN agenda 2030 sustainable development goals, the Paris climate accord and the century initiative, so...
