  • In this video I continue a series where I will build a walnut buffet cabinet with a frame and panel design. This video covers the construction of the internal webbing, drawer runners, and shelf supports as well as the glue up of the case.

Love it. Reason for using epoxy vs wood glue?

Seth, is that the Bench Dog router lift you have in your table saw? I ask, because I have the Bench Dog lift in my Delta contractor saw, and I love it! But, over the years, I've grown fond of my fingers, and I've recently been thinking of switching to a SawStop saw (specifically, the exact saw I think you have -- the 1.75 HP cabinet saw with 52" bed?). If I do come up with money to make that happen, I would like to bring my router lift along for the ride. My shop is too small and I use the router too infrequently to justify a separate station for it.
Another good video by the way. Did you go with epoxy on the carcass glue-up for its increased open time, or are there other reasons?

Charlie Hubbard I installed a Jessem router lift in the extension that came with the saw. I basically pattern routed it out and built a box on the underside for dust collection. The 1.75hp saw has worked just great for me, and installing the router lift wasn’t hard. I’m sure you could install the one you have.
I used epoxy for the glue up primarily for the open time. It’s also nice for squeeze out clean up. With that many joints at once it’s hard to get the cleanup perfect, and epoxy just disappears when you apply finish where glue would be obvious.
