    You have mentioned that you are a professional, right? If you don't mind, can you share your professional qualifications to teach English to adults? To be brutally honest, by trying to oversimplify the way of answering "yes/no questions", you are giving the English learners watching your videos the wrong impression of how such questions should be answered. In reality, if you keep answering just "yes or no" to all of these questions on a regular bases, obviously, because of your tone, the person asking the questions might be somewhat offended; therefore, such brief responses are not recommended. Instead of saying yes or no, saying something like "Yes, I do", "No, I won't", "Yes, I did", No, I'm not", and "Yes, I will" can be much more polite unless you are reluctant to give someone a proper answer. Also, if you are conducting a lesson on "yes/no questions", you cannot ignore other "tenses" such as "present perfect". You have also forgotten to discuss questions formed with "modal verbs". Finally, even though you claim that you are a professional, your lessons don't look more organised and descriptive, so you better work on such areas in order to make your videos much more educational and informative! I apologise for being blunt, but consider this constructive criticism shared by someone who has been sharing the same line of work for more than 2 decades! I hope this helps! ❤

      I never bother about popularizing my professionalism to anybody. I have proved it to Sri Lankan and UK states. My aim is to just to relax the Sri Lankan minds that speaking is not a difficult task but it’s something that should be done by every person. Then only our nation blooms with the international community.
      I never internet to make the learner complex by higher grammar structures and linguistic approaches.
      Thank you for the comment.

      @dissanayakevidura- why on earth you watching these videos if you are a professional?

    • @dissanayakevidura
      @dissanayakevidura Місяць тому +1

      @@sudathdhanawardane1373 Well, frankly, I was just curious because she had already claimed that she fitted the profile of a professional. But why are you surprised, mate? Am I not allowed to watch a video on UA-cam and share my views on its quality and content? FYI, I wasn't bluffing when writing my last reply as a TEFL tutor though I don't know if you were sharing your opinion as a TEFL tutor or not. The video was, indeed, too brief and somewhat misleading because even native speakers don't always say yes/no when answering such questions. Therefore, if a UA-cam tutor says otherwise to oversimplify how such questions are answered, people who know better might contend that such videos should have more details to teach the viewers how such questions should be answered properly. Also, her own reply says it all, mate! Instead of admitting that she could have made the video longer and more informative, she claimed that she didn't intend to teach "high grammar", which is a phrase that I have never heard of because maybe she meant "advanced grammar".
      With all due respect, more worryingly, despite her claims, her own reply had a couple of errors, so I wasn't surprised by the fact that she wasn't willing to share her credentials as a TEFL tutor after reading my previous reply. Anyway, if you have more serious questions about the English language, I might be able to answer your questions. However, if you keep asking such silly questions like why I watched the video in the first place, I don't think I can entertain you! 🤭

      @@sudathdhanawardane1373 PS. Since you didn't express yourself accurately, let me teach you how to ask your question properly, especially when using the "idioms" such as "why, how, where, who, etc. on earth". The correct way of asking your question is as follows: ----- "Why" on earth do you watch these videos if you are a professional? ------ First, you have to learn more about the difference between "the present simple" and "the present continuous", or you will continue to make such mistakes in the future. Also, when starting a sentence in English, we usually use a "capital letter" at the beginning. Your "punctuation" can be improved if you remove the "comma" written before the "subordinating conjunction", "if" because your sentence is classified as "a conditional". For the above mentioned reasons, instead of wondering why I keep watching such videos, you, of all people, should work on your basic punctuation and grammar, mate! If you want to master your English grammar, especially when asking a question, forming a conditional sentence, and punctuating such sentences properly, the following materials can be quite useful! To enhance your grammar skills, read "Macmillan English Grammar in Context: Essential with Key", which is even better than the so-called the best grammar book, Intermediate English Grammar used in Sri Lanka by thousands of students. The former has more useful and more modern examples than the latter. However, it doesn't have a cheaper Indian black and white edition, so unless you find the e-book, the authentic colour book can be quite expensive! You can also watch "MMMEnglish" UA-cam channel to learn more about conditional sentences after reading and doing the exercises included in "Macmillan English Grammar in Context: Essential with Key". In order to boost your punctuation skills, read "Penguin Guide to PUNCTUATION", which is a booklet I can recommend as a TEFL certified (Cambridge level 5 certification) tutor. Remember that I didn't intend to open up a cam of worms in the first place by enquiring about her credentials. I just wanted to know why she left out the most useful information when sharing such a lesson on UA-cam, particularly after claiming that she was a professional. I mean, if she says that she's a professional, she needs to have the balls to share her qualifications in public, right? Instead of answering my questions directly, she wrote her own message making several basic errors, which can validate the points I have been trying to make. For your information, if I had a nickel for every time I had to question the validity of Sri Lankan so-called English teachers' lessons shared on UA-cam and Facebook, I would be rich now! I hope this helps! ❤❤❤

      @@dissanayakevidura what I can see here is you have got a mental illness. You want to showcase that you have got a good English knowledge. When I wrote my reply I thought that you would show me some mistakes in my reply as well. Brother don’t try to find mistakes in others. It is not a good quality as a human being. Cheers
