2011 might have had some of the most unbelievable comebacks in history. The Rays and Cardinals comeback in the wild card race. The Rays comeback in game 162. And the Cardinals comeback in game 6 of the world series. Absolutely incredible.
Remember there's always a part 2, if you don't see a comeback that you personally would have liked to see, just leave a reminder and I'll be sure to get to it :)
"You can't sit on a lead and run a few plays into the line and just kill the clock. You've got to throw the ball over the damn plate and five the other man his chance. That's why baseball is the greatest game of them all." Earl Weaver
Freese and the cardinals one was hands down the greatest comeback in the history of baseball and possibly the history of sports, truly a remarkable game to watch, glad I was able to watch it
I was living in Phoenix when the D-Backs won that game; was the lead story on the 10:00 news that night given they wound up winning the NL West that year, a rarity for them. Always good to see them beating Hell-A, especially when the Dodgers once celebrated a win there by jumping into the BOB's spa.
im an orioles fan and the comeback against the red sox was amazing given the circumstances but david freese and the cardinals in game 6 was the greatest of all time hands down
Gm 162, October 2011. WC Wednesday, arguably one of baseball's most magical nights ALL TIME. As a Phillies fan, I was watching my team attempt to win a francaise record 102nd W, that night, vs Braves le whom we knocked out of NL WC contention that yr - in the 14th inning W - that nights game (162). Of course, I had no choice but to switch channels and marvel off the edge of my seat at the events taking place over the AL Wildcard (referencing TB comebqck and Sox downfall, in this video). FRIKKIN AMAZING
damn, I remember that night, i turned the game off because the indians wass down 14-2 in 7th. then idk what it was but i decided to turn tv on to see what was going on and i seen the game was still on, i was like how is the game still on and i looked and it was 14-11 and then vizquel hit that tying hit, i was so excited but pissed off i miss the comback. that game was the best comeback in mlb history.
it's amazing sometimes a 1-2 run lead feels like 10 runs, other times the wheels fall off and getting an out seems nearly impossible. imo, it comes down to patience, walks, hand it to the next guy. You can't score 6-7 runs in 1 swing..keep the line moving. great video dude.
I was at the Cleveland Game , and what people do not realize was that Seattle had the best record in baseball that season ( was actually historic how good they were they had 116 wins)! The tribe took out all their all star starters in the 7th inning the with exception of Thome , and Seattle had the best bullpen in baseball making this comeback even more incredible
It's a freese warning in st Louis baby. I'll never forget it. Only time I actually wept and cried for a game. I literally broke my TV and window and kept screaming at the top of my lounge "we ain't done, we ain't done ! Wooooooo!"
Math doesn’t lie. The diamondbacks’ comeback was the hardest one of them all. The Indians’ comeback was the largest, but not the hardest. They only had to average 2.4 runs per innings to tie the game. It’s definitely hard, but they had from the 5th inning to the 9th inning to score 12 runs. On the other hand, the diamondbacks had one inning to score 5 runs. Plus, the diamondbacks only had one shot to tie the game. If they don’t score those 5 runs in the 9th, they lose. If the Indians didn’t score 12 runs in the bottom of the 5th (which they didn’t), they still had the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th innings to tie the game. If someone has better math, I’ll listen, but I have another example if anyone wants it.
Yes indeed I do have a little better math the indians comeback started in the seventh not the fifth and they also were still down by 5 in the ninth with 2 outs
Holy crap on that CLE/SEA clip. I never knew about that game. That's a great one to end on. Easily the most improbably of them all. Down 14-2 in the frigging 7th and 14-8 w/ 2 OUTS IN THE 9th?!? Man SEA's bullpen blew huh?
the orioles were down 4-0in the bottom of the 8th and Nelson cruz hits a grand slam to tie the game and in the 12 they win with a passed ball and the funny part is that nick markaikis hits a double with david lough one of the fastest runners on base slips and falls down while he headings home
Yankees vs Rangers Yankees were down 7-3 in the bottom of the ninth Brett Gardner got an RBI single to make it 7-4 Then Brian McCann hit a 3-run home run to tie Then Didi hit a walk off 2-run homer to win 9-7
I was a 14 year old kid from Canton, OH in 2001. And on that August night I was in Myrtle Beach with my family and I chose to watch THAT game on ESPN instead of going to the beach. (I was 14...today, no chance). I remember being down by 12 late and thinking I should have just went to the beach... Especially when my family all came back before the 7th inning anyway. Oh well, the misery just makes it even more special.
Red sox's 2011 choke is one of the least talked about chokes of all time. As a Boston fan i was heartbroken. And it caused us to lose Franconia. Went from one of the best teams in baseball that year to falling off a cliff in the last month.
E-Wrecked Gamer yeah he was actually useless.... but we won the year after that.... and then we were last again after that.., then we were first again... but then we went 1 and done in the playoffs.... rip consistency
Last day of 2011 regular season, Red Sox and Rays are tied for the wild card spot. The Red Sox were up 3-2 while the Rays were losing 7-0 to the Yankees (the next clip), the Red Sox game went into rain delay while the Rays came back to tie 7-7 in the ninth. The Orioles came back to win 4-3, then 5 minutes later the Rays walked off to win 8-7. The Rays got the wild card spot while the Red Sox season was over
Joe Buck "This game is tied" "Unbelievable" "We will see you tomorrow night" it sounded like he wanted to leave, why does he have the job if it sounds like he doesn't want it
Dbacks over cardinals was crazy. bottom 10, 6-1, 2-2 count, 2 outs, and you win the game 7-6. The chances of a comeback with 2-2 count and 2 outs down 6 runs to win must be one in ten million or less.
Your videos are so awesome. I was scrolling through youtube videos and saw your fake out videos. I wish your channel was more popular. Keep up the great work!
You can look it up, but I think that the greatest comeback in MLB happened around 100 (?) years ago, where Cleveland was losing to Washington, 14-0, in the top of the ninth, two out, and no one on base. Cleveland proceeded to rack up 17 runs, capped off by Tris Speaker's three- run homer. Washington went out in order in the bottom of the ninth. Now THAT'S a finsih I'd like to see!
The nearest match I can find is April 14, 1925 Cleveland at St. Louis Browns. Down 13-9 in the 8th, they put up 12 runs, including a 3-run shot by the Grey Eagle. SLB would manage to get a single run back in the 9th. I've checked all Speaker's 3 HR games, all CLE-WAS high scoring games, and all games with a score of at least 17 to at least 14, and this is the best I could come up with.
3:48 Chris Iannetta has always been pretty damn clutch despite not being a great hitter. Always saves his 4 home runs and .210 BA for late innings of close games it seems. Ice in his veins
I don't really watch Baseball. I do watch the highlights because there are some pretty incredible things to see. Getting the winning hit must be great. Getting the walk off home run must feel amazing. Getting a walk off grand slam? Not sure if I can really describe that.
One of the great things about baseball. No clock. As long as you have an out to use, the game isn't over
yep as my dad always said "its not over till that final out". I've seen many incredible things happen
It ain’t over till’ it’s over.
It ain’t over till the fat lady sings
My favorite thing about the game. People who want to shorten it can kiss my ass.
Baseball blows
Cleveland coming back from a 14-2 deficit is definitely the most impressive comeback in this video.
Thank you.. It was the day before my birthday.. Best gift ever.. I mean ever..
Mr. Cub Fan 415 I gotta wonder how does someone choke that bad to blow a 12 run lead
@@garretttanner7436 It's called the Mariners
@@garretttanner7436 The best part is that it was the same season when the Mariners won 116 games
No it’s David freese
I think Cleveland's comeback vs Seattle is THE greatest comeback in baseball history.
agreed!
EXE-Edits Yankees vs Red Sox 15-9. Yankees vs Orioles 14-11.
Milton Free To Choose Nope. CLE VS SEA is the greatest.
Chris Kay IMO Arizona’s vs LA is the greatest because it all happened with 2 outs
Chris Kay yanks vs Red Sox

could you make a montage of strikeout throwout double plays?
Benjamin White Sure, I have a ton of videos planned out already but I'll add it to the list :)
2014 KC Royals vs Oakland As WildCard game
Could you make the part 2 include the Tiger Comeback vs The Rays this year it was epic 7 run ninth I believe
Braves comeback vs Reds in 2010
The first clip just showed that anything is possible and you should never give up no matter how much your down
That Mariners/Indians box score looked like a final score from the western division....of the NFC.
Candy Banks Browns beat the Seahawks 23-17 haha
Watching game 6 highlights still gives me chills and I was at the game. One of the most incredible moments of my life
The Cleveland game is one of the best of all time. 29 runs on 40 hits with the greatest comeback of all time. Absolutely insane
This is why baseball is the greatest sport. No matter hopeless the game may seem, a lot can happen when there's only two outs in a half-inning.
am i the only person who hates it when people call it a point instead of a run
katie moser nope I agree completely
katie moser same
same
Nope your not
katie moser no
Born and raised in Cleveland i was hoping that game was on here. I remember being a kid with all the family around the tv watching it. Great memories

definitely have to agree with you on the freese and orioles. but as a rangers fan, that freese one hurt

Wow 14-0 down ,to come back & win that absolutely amazing.
14-2 but it was pretty much 14-0 lol
Nice to see people still upload videos like this
That Cardinals Rangers game was one of the greatest games I have ever seen. Just showing the Cardinal at bats don't give it enough justice.
True, from September on they were unstoppable
I'm a Rangers fan. I'll admit I cried when that happened xD
thats makes baseball beautiful
2011 was a great year for MLB
Game 162 was so amazing. I always get chills
Astros came back down 8-2 against the twins yesterday in top 8th and scored 11 in just the 8th. Finished the game 16-8
i give that one a one of the best innings in history, one of the best, but nothing like indians comeback against mariners, 14-2 and win it 15-14.

Too high i think
Just inside I guess. My guess is the first 3 pitches before that were wild decreasing his chance of getting a borderline pitched called a strike
