My god the beautiful detail of Dagger's hair in the hair cutting scene was incredible. The individual strands, the movement, etc. It looks like something youd see today, not the PS1.
So I was also completely clueless about the gimmick of Ipsen's Castle in my first playthrough, and the way I circumvented everyone's pathetic DPS was by having Quina use 1000 Needles because of its fixed damage
I keep hearing about final fantasy 14 from you and im super on the edge of trying it out, ive never been a big mmo person but i hear a lot of good things 👀
So I was curious about how exactly you can get a Moonstone, and there's only four in the whole game. The first can be acquired basically at the beginning of the game by acing the sword fight in Alexandria and then talking to Brahne as Steiner. The second one is found at the Conde Petie Mountain path by collecting the four colored stones and placing them all in the same statue. The third is from another friendly monster, and the fourth isn't available until Disc 4.
Also reflect only works on spells, not magical attacks. You can also cast reflect on yourself and then target that character with Vivi to get past an enemy's reflect that they have cast on themselves. Hope this is helpful
Maaaan, Mount Gulug is such a difficulty spike. It's funny too, cause in every single (unmodded) playthrough I've watched of FF9, this part of the game, THIS dungeon specifically, is always the part where people who have been otherwise enjoying the game up to this point start airing their grievances or mentioning what they don't like about FF9 compared to other games. That's not a complaint on my part, it just makes me laugh when difficulty spikes bring out everyone's inner critic.
Amarant's character arc is undoubtedly the weakest of the cast, but I still appreciate the storytelling they did with him like they did with the rest of the cast -- telling it through the victory pose. Amarant is the only character to start WITHOUT a victory pose, and then gains one after his arc. I love this bit of subtle storytelling. And while his character is weak, his capabilities are certainly not. He's the most versatile of the cast, having the ability to to put Auto-Life AND Regen at the same time on party members (all of them during Trance) and restore HP and MP at more than what it costs to cast. That's freaking bonkers! Amarant was definitely my favourite to level up with his cool skillset.
pleaso go easy on my pookie amarant... he was dropped in an active volcano when he was 2 weeks old💔
He sucks so much I love him
The Quina pfp somehow completes this message

I saw the finale in my feed first, and got confused because there was so much more to do! But you have given us a gift with all three videos at once!
I *knew* the haircut scene would make her cry, hehe. It’s one of my favorites too
Don’t fret. Mount Gulug is notoriously infuriating
Amarant, acting out for the third time this week: Is it me? Am I the drama?
Wow didn't think I'd hear the cave theme from ff 1 in this game

@@forrestwatley6678 So magical attacks are different from spells? Didn't expect the game to be this confusing.
YAYYY

It doesn't help that after nearly every other dungeon looks quite beautiful it looks so... drab. Appropriate, but drab.
yay :)

The game definitely wants you to bench Daggar at this point in time, they give you all the other party members for a reason.
