Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- Greg Hitchko brought us this incredible SplitFire/ProCircuit/Kawasaki KX250 Two Stroke that he spent quite a long time building. Outfitted with incredible PC carbon parts that took him time to track down and even a seat cover that was RC's seat from 1999!
To see the build process and more on the bike, check out Greg's channel below!

You guys made it look and sound too good! Thank you again for the opportunity, Ping. What an awesome time. Until the next one!
Bike sounds and looks unbelievably good. Very well done Greg!
Sweet bike ! Ping still looks great ripping on your bike 👍
So cool to see this bike ripping on the track after all that hard work Greg! Sounds and looks incredible. Ping made her sing✊️
Bike sounds sweet…. ✊💨💨
Outstanding job on this one Greg, best of the best. That beautiful sound has made it all the way down to Mexico 🇲🇽 and we love it!
Haha ma man!! Thanks He!
Go Greg. 👍
So pumped for you Greg! Ping made her sing!
Ping! Aren't you guy doing a clinic at Mt.West MX in Mona? When will we have details on that? Thx!
Love that KX!
Did it last Friday! We will do more
The first pro supercross race I ever watched was 01 or 02 daytona. I remember Mike brown and Bobby bonds having the 125. 5 years later I raced a works harescramble race that Bobby bonds won.
Awesome build. I have a 2003 Team ECC suzuki RM 125 bike you guys should check out. Pretty sure its one of Tyler Evans race bikes from that year, has AMA sticker and alot of other parts leading me to believe it was definitely an old race bike.
That is a nice bike 🚴🏆
been waiting for this, please dont part it out!!!
So great to see the bike out on the track! I can relate to that question about if I should ride it or sell it after building it, I think about the same thing as I build my 99.
Definitely miss the smell of a good 2 stroke. Enjoyed your content Ping.🤙✌️🙏💯🇺🇸🫡
Hell yeah !! Been waiting on this one !! Great job, Greg!!! Ping getting it!!!
Very very nice job. Love those tricky carbon pieces. Hmmm, maybe you inspire me to pretty up my old RM250!
"pretty up?"...Ooof!
Mitch Payton has to take note can you hear how crisp this thing sounds with that older pro circuit pipe silencer combo
But the new P.C SYSTEM SOUNDS TERRIBLE WITH THAT CARBON SHORT SILENCER it like the bike has no Exhaust at all redesign the pro circuit silencer because it's no good
For the modern bikes
Had a 99 kx 250.
Good all-around bike. Not particularly great at anything. Didn't turn in as well as my 98 yz. But kawi has never been known for corning. Deffinetly steering with the throttle. Strong motor little more over Rev than the 98 yz with a pwk and fmf. But typical low to mid kawi power. Kawi had a pc pipe. Never owned either with stock pipe. Both had vforce Reed cages.
That bike is tuned to perfection!!
Mitch Payton had his hands on that bike!
I know exactly what you mean by “not wanting to ride it” because of all of the time and money invested. Struggling with the same issues with my ‘98 KX 250 build.
Great build, bike looks and sounds sic, been a long time sub, so have followed the builds. Nothing beats the look and sounds of a 2stroke, especially when its been built right. Ping looked good on the bike as well, good come back ride Ping. props guys,🤟
My brother bought one new in 99”, I just started too be able to ride decent. What a fn monster motor. 🔥👍🏻 In the woods with stock suspension 3rd gear pinned and never swapped so hard without crashing in my life. I think that was the last time I rode it.
This was my favorite feature when Ping was at Racer X . His bike builds or go to the pits and show the pro's bikes and show use cool detail.
Ping shoulda tossed that team jacket over the shoulder before throwing a leg and ripping! Beautiful bike and build. I’d love to give it a spin!
Honestly….why would you build a 250 to look like a 125……………..i see alot of this going on and i dont get it
Ping still whipping it!!!!
Inspiring dude
that was a excellent video love these types of builds the passion from greg and ping for these builds makes the video really shine in my opinion good stuff guys
Very cool. Thanks for doing this video Ping and thanks Greg for all your effort and money in building the bike. Ping id love to have you down to Australia to ride and shot my VMX bikes.
Can't wait to see the 86 YZ125! This KX250 is super cool. I had the 98 and my friend had an 01, which I didn't get to ride much. But, that 98 was a great bike. Took it down to the frame and completely refurbished it and rode it a couple times and it was stolen.
98 was the Pinnacle of KX 250 dominance. #bike of the year
I've got a 86 yz 125. Was the boys first bike. Bought it for 500 bucks running. went throught it. Still running strong 6 years later with some crank seals n top end. The Gold rims are best part lol.
Fun but not fast. I mean, it rips! But like 10 ponys down on a modern 125. 36mm Pwk is a must, in my opinion. Rear drum brakes are exactly like they sound. Other than that... very tall bike but short length wise in cockpit. So it's a real light twitchy feeling bike, especially in sand. I usually run a straighter bar on my bikes. But its geometry really favored the cr hi bar. Stock pegs have to go as well, lol.
Pretty much all midrange motor. Still does 71 on pavement with a 220 rider according to GPS thoe. With a 48 out back at least.
Top work Greg, really really cool work and it was a pleasure to have been on board !
The bike simply wouldn't have been the same without those epic "Factory" colored billet hubs. One of my favorite parts on the bike. Thank you to you and the team at Envy Hubs UK 🙏
I had a brand new 94 kx250 and it was fabulous, incredible suspension, smooth engine, great handling 👌 ( bikes are made for riding )
You might like this story... My 1994 KX250
Dad gave it to me new in Nov of 1993, to replace my 1990.. Raced desert with it for the next 2 years. Play bike until 2003, took it apart to do a frame off restoration. Got the frame powder coated and had to move just as I got it back from powdercoat. Boxed it all up and moved. Had it in boxes until 2022. Put it all back together full restoration. Still has original fenders, shrouds, seat cover. All the original plastics were removed day one back in 1993, still look perfect. Still very fun to ride.
Like 👍#35! #Ping35N99
No splitfire there, NGK all day 😂
Love this. Great job on the build Greg 👍🏻
The sound of the bike.... Love it.
THIS BIKE IS WIFE MATERIAL... 😂
So awesome to see this come together and have you able to ride it Ping! Blessed for sure to be able to be in a time like this to appreciate these bikes!
I’m a bit torn myself with my Lamson Husky 125 build. It will probably have Marzocchi 48’s as the 50’s are so hard to find and Ty Davis says the 48’s are what I should go with….. Greg you nailed it!
holy sh!^& i had that same cover on my 250 when i bought it as a basket case, had multiple guys offer hundreds for it and i eventually sold it for like 80 bucks to a guy in the kx250 group on facebook! just wanted it to go to someone who could use it and not ruin it like i would, didnt care about the money. i have a video up on my channel of me riding in the woods with that cover on and destroying that bike lol, i had no idea at the time
Awesomme build Greg!! I feel honored to have gotten to watch this build from the very start. I love watching Ping ride two strokes & he certainly did the KX justice 🤘🏾🔥
That thing looks and sounds torquey as heck 🤙🏻
Great bike. I've watched your build series. Top notch. Ping, you are a great rider. I raced against you in 91' Loretta. 125 B stock/mod. You were a beast. Fan for life. Thanks
👊🏼
All about the older kawis baby i ride a 06 250 love or hate it she be rooting that 4 plodda
The ONLY thing is the plates say it's for 250 c 😂
Beast of a bike Greg
Sound ❤
Steezy
Ricky's shorter than I remember😂
where did u get the graphics?
Less talk more ride 🤟🏻
Where can I get that helmet
Amazing job 🔥🔥👊✌️
This was so rad
Jacket off
😍
Giving it more of a modern style. The bike is amazing cause I love 2 strokes over 4 strokes. Never rode a newer style 4 strokes so I can’t for for sure about which bike I rather have. I grew up on 2 strokes and it’s been decades since I rode 2 stroke. I recently rented a 2016 KTM 450 and I hated it. It wasn’t set up for my weight at 170 pounds. Wish I had the chance to ride both back to back to truly know. Love your intellect on riding a bike. Seem like a really cool person. 💯🤙✌️🙏🫡🇺🇸
