In 2015, I traveled in an RV from my home in N.J. all the way down to Bristol to see the night race. I’ll tell you more about my journey as we get closer to your trip
I've been to the last 12 straight races at Bristol but I won't be there for this Night Race because I joined the Air Force a few months ago and now I live in Texas :( oh well at least I will get to go to Texas Motor Speedway. Also I'm from Knoxville
I'll be there from Milwaukee. Were stopping at Indy along the way, then stopping in Nashville, and then taking a detour to Charlotte before coming back to Bristol for all three races.
Trenton Geth I live in Bristol it’s a great place not a whole lot to do, but it’s a fun town, so many great people are here and there is a lot of fun events here!
@@tripplively1065 agree. Bristol is the more quiet area of East TN. But we're growing. I moved here from a tiny city called Milford in Delaware. Knoxville is the more lively city of East Tennessee. I enjoy East TN. So much so explore and that's 1/3 of the state. Great people too.
I live very close to Bristol and BMS so I have the fortunate pleasure of being able to go to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, eating at Pal's all the time, and the Blackbird Bakery. I love this area and everything it has to offer. To anyone traveling from elsewhere, have fun in the Bristol area and experience all it has to offer
Thanks for the video! I'm thinking of visiting my uncle who lives in Knoxville and heading to the Bristol Night Race this year and this really gave me a good idea of some possible plans for that week/weekend. JP's NASCAR Outlet and Pal's Restaurant are definitely going to be on the top of the list if I'm able to go. 👍
Came here to say that you hit the nail on the head in this video. I live in Bristol and this would probably be my list if someone were to ask me. Couldn’t recommend South Holston Lake enough. Looove that place.
I'll be there, I've been to JP's I even remember what I bought, Chase Elliott's KBB 2018, and Dale Jr.'s 2015 Xfinity TaxSlayer, I'll be rootin' Hendrick!
Man I wish I could go this year. Unfortunately it just wasn't in the families budget for us to come up there this year. But hopefully once we get moved we can make the trip next year! Also, have been up there to the Gaitlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area a few times and even if you're not going up there for race weekend, it's a must stop destination for a nice family vacation.
Thanks alot Danny B I'm going to the Night race ,but we are leaving straight for the track on Saturday morning ,so does anyone know if JDs Nascar outlet is open on Sundays ?
Dude. Dont do me like that (lol) with the Pals frenchie fry and Mcds Burger. Pal's burgers are as bomb . Com. Haha. But if it's the Danny B special then do your thing. I'll add if one goes to Pals. Get a Peachy Tea or Peachy Mello Yellow. Unique to this local chain. The Sauceburger is unique too. Little cheap good burger. I'll add the Burger Bar downtown for some good burgers and history. Last place where Hank William's was last seen alive. Food City Family Race Night is awesome too full of entertainment and driver appearances downtown. As a tourism guru I love what you did here.
There’s also whitewater rafting about 2 hours from Bristol that’s really fun. I might be a little partial because I work at one of the outfitters but it’s really fun and not overly expensive like most attractions. Check it out at raftinginthesmokies.com
It's Bristol Month

Will Eubanks sorry you can’t go this year. However, thank you for your service.

They are open for a shorter period of time on Sundays.
Wait what about Lenoir City Tennessee you have a great view of the Smokey mountains
Lenoir City is right next to Knoxville

There is a NASCAR store hidden away in Gatlinburg
Where at in Gatlinburg
