I used to come to Nashville a lot as a kid in the late 80s to visit family. But I came to Nashville this weekend and was blown away by the downtown area which was glitzy, trendy, vibrant and full of life. It was clean, well-maintained, all the buildings looked new, well lit up and I saw very little, if any, vagrancy. And there was a lot to do at night even on a Sunday. I had no idea how nice Nashville was and I might just consider relocating from Dallas. 😁
Are you sure you were in Nashville 🤣 The locals don’t go downtown anymore. Woo goo girls yelling and fights it’s changed and not for the better. It’s seedier than you think.

I'm a huge Donna Summer fan, She raised her children in Nashville, she is buried in Nashville though she passed in her Naples FL gated community, she obviously lived her last years quietly with her hubby cause when she passed no one in the Naples FL gated development even knew that Donna Summer lived there. I grew up listening to her music, what an awesome singer/songwriter!

I live 5 minutes from Joyland restaurant, and I had never heard of it; will be heading there today to try the crust burger. I am not a big soccer fan, but after watching this video, I think I would like to go check out our team and new stadium. Keep the video's coming; we love watching the both of you on your adventures.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Nashville and Tennessee in general! Mom wanted to go for her 80th birthday, before she lost her eyesight, so off we went. I need to go back because we couldn't do as much as we would have liked while there. One thing of note, even though most of the food was great, best hot dog ever at 2 AM in Printers Alley, my sister and I were disappointed in the white gravy there. We assumed that it would be off the hook because we were in the south, but every place we had it was lack luster at best. We loved Milk & Honey in the Gulch, even though we had an hour and a half wait on a Wednesday! If you haven't been, The Big Drag Bus tour is a must! They were so awesome to my mom. When I booked the tour, I told the owner that we were celebrating mom's 80th birthday and asked if we were sure she would like this tour. He is originally from Irvine, CA near me, and I assured him it would be the highlight of her visit; next to Dollywood of course! Once it got closer to our visit, they didn't have enough people to make the tour feasible so he asked some of his friends to take the tour with us so that mom wouldn't miss out. One of the performers even postponed surgery to be able to perform on the bus for mom. We also did the Belle Meade tour which was awesome. I loved hearing about their head hostler and how he is the reason for Belle Meade's success in horses. Nice to hear that his talents were revered and appreciated. My sister and I loved our trip so much, we got matching tattoos to commemorate the trip! Definitely so much to see! Oh, and the best dang fiddle player at Tootsies! She KILLED "Devil went down to Georgia"!! Love you guys and your videos! BTW, has anyone ever told Natalie she could be Ashley Williams twin with long hair?

Lived in Nashville from 1975 to 1982. Came back to visit in 2003 and hardly knew the place. Visited again in 2014 and lots of east Indian people had moved to the Green Hills area where I used to live, and more traffic jams than ever.

Theres so many bachelorette parties there that In about 6 years at an elementary school in Iowa there will be a first grade teacher taking roll call in her class. She calls, 'Bobby Jones?'. I have taken the Jack Daniels tour and the Jim Beam tour in Clermont, Kentucky. I personally like Jim Beam better because you truly got to see how it was made and you could go behind the scenes and taste the moonshine if you will. And we made our own bottle of knob Creek. But if you're more of a history buff than Jack Daniels is better for you
We’ve never done the Jim Beam tour, but I can see what you mean. The Jack Daniel’s tour covered a lot of history and maybe not as much of the actual production process. We did enjoy seeing where/how they make the charcoal and seeing the whiskey filtering through the charcoal. Also, seeing the giant vats of mash fermenting and bubbling was cool. And the single barrel bottling area was neat to see as well. I do love me some Knob Creek though! I think a Kentucky Bourbon Trail video might need to be in our future! Lol -Matt

Nashville is a great music city, the problem they have is the rarity of the artists being native to Nashville. I've lived in New Orleans for 45 years and the music scene here is the musicians are mostly local, and the music is more than likely to be found in the street in lieu of a club. Liked your video. My brother lives in Nashville.
I want a recipe for that upside-down pecan pie! 😄 I’m local and y’all have me hyped about some places! I’ll tell you my favorites ~ the Goodwill outlets…”the bins” @ $1.79 /lb… you can dress your family for eighteen bucks, get a handmade quilt, a couple of Nashville cookbooks a seasonal wreath, some vintage Doc Martens, American doll clothes, a metal thing and some chipped bookends. THEN, go eat at 51st Deli.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Nashville and Tennessee in general! Mom wanted to go for her 80th birthday, before she lost her eyesight, so off we went. I need to go back because we couldn't do as much as we would have liked while there. One thing of note, even though most of the food was great, best hot dog ever at 2 AM in Printers Alley, my sister and I were disappointed in the white gravy there. We assumed that it would be off the hook because we were in the south, but every place we had it was lack luster at best. We loved Milk & Honey in the Gulch, even though we had an hour and a half wait on a Wednesday! If you haven't been, The Big Drag Bus tour is a must! They were so awesome to my mom. When I booked the tour, I told the owner that we were celebrating mom's 80th birthday and asked if we were sure she would like this tour. He is originally from Irvine, CA near me, and I assured him it would be the highlight of her visit; next to Dollywood of course! Once it got closer to our visit, they didn't have enough people to make the tour feasible so he asked some of his friends to take the tour with us so that mom wouldn't miss out. One of the performers even postponed surgery to be able to perform on the bus for mom. We also did the Belle Meade tour which was awesome. I loved hearing about their head hostler and how he is the reason for Belle Meade's success in horses. Nice to hear that his talents were revered and appreciated. My sister and I loved our trip so much, we got matching tattoos to commemorate the trip! Definitely so much to see! Oh, and the best dang fiddle player at Tootsies! She KILLED "Devil went down to Georgia"!! Love you guys and your videos! BTW, has anyone ever told Natalie she could be Ashley Williams twin with long hair?

Lived in Nashville from 1975 to 1982. Came back to visit in 2003 and hardly knew the place. Visited again in 2014 and lots of east Indian people had moved to the Green Hills area where I used to live, and more traffic jams than ever.

I have taken the Jack Daniels tour and the Jim Beam tour in Clermont, Kentucky. I personally like Jim Beam better because you truly got to see how it was made and you could go behind the scenes and taste the moonshine if you will. And we made our own bottle of knob Creek. But if you're more of a history buff than Jack Daniels is better for you
We’ve never done the Jim Beam tour, but I can see what you mean. The Jack Daniel’s tour covered a lot of history and maybe not as much of the actual production process. We did enjoy seeing where/how they make the charcoal and seeing the whiskey filtering through the charcoal. Also, seeing the giant vats of mash fermenting and bubbling was cool. And the single barrel bottling area was neat to see as well. I do love me some Knob Creek though! I think a Kentucky Bourbon Trail video might need to be in our future! Lol -Matt

Nashville is a great music city, the problem they have is the rarity of the artists being native to Nashville. I've lived in New Orleans for 45 years and the music scene here is the musicians are mostly local, and the music is more than likely to be found in the street in lieu of a club. Liked your video. My brother lives in Nashville.

THEN, go eat at 51st Deli.
