I’m so bored of the rpg ACs. I liked them for a while, I didn’t hate them like some but they were a downgrade in most ways imo. Then they mis-marketed mirage as a return to roots only to pull a Ubisoft and lie about it. I got hyped up for nothing.
@@SILENTASSASSIN12 I’m not an rpg fan, I’m saying this as someone who played every game up to syndicate back to back. It gets fucking boring pressing square and circle for 7 games straight
the idea of playing as a recruit never occured to me, but for some reason, it sounds fun, Ezio has a lot of tools that they don't, especially the novices, so it would force you to play even more carefully than usual, and to push it to the next level, maybe failing the mission wouldn't just result in a "try again" but actually kill the recruit so you'd have to get another one
Sounds like a good idea for a roguelite game. You build up an organization, but failing missions screws you over in some way, depending on the mission (failing an espionage mission causes the enemy to discover your organization did it, for example) and dying, regardless of whether or not the mission was completed, means losing the selected character.
Ezio: “We must burn Leonardo’s plans to build a gun that can mow down 100 men in seconds!” Also Ezio: *creates assassins that can mow down an entire compound by themselves in minutes*
the vibe, the music, ... everthing about AC2 and AC brotherhood are so beautiful, something so nolstagic that who played it and appreciated it would never forget. Can't find them anymore in modern AC, so sad.
Well, y'know, AC just *had* to include a game all about gay vikings and engage in the same historical-revisionist garbage that a lot of people do when the vikings are involved.
I said this like a year ago in an Altair Stealth video, and I'll say it again here: There really should be a game where the premise is something like Abstergo finding a crypt with the tombs of the game's main character and their most trusted brothers's, and to unlock the crypt (which holds a precursor object), they have to relive the memories of all of them. In-game it could look like MGS Peace Walker, where you can play as a subordinate on secondary missions and replays. In that game, playing as a subordinate made your army feel big and loyal. AC doing the same would make the brotherhood feel massive and add a ton of mysticism whilst making the main character look like a real badass. Be cool for once Ubisoft god damn...
Imagine being a highly trained swordsman in full plate mail tasked with guarding the plans to a dangerous weapon only to die to some guy with a fucking rake 🤣
Wait, so you can throw your sword, throw multiple knives, throw your smoke bomb, and kill someone with a rack ?? That's is a whole new way of playing brotherhood that I never experimented with. Thanks !
That it fulfilled from 2007-2011. Series just dragged out and went on longer than it was ever reasonably supposed to. It was only expected that it got watered down and worse immediately after that.
I know that the concept of being able to play with Ancestors is that we relive memories through a host in the Animus, but it would be very cool to be able to do missions with the apprentices in the different games. In a way, when we play with Shey Cormac or with Adewale, in a way we are reliving memories of other people not related to Desmond in those particular cases. Who knows.
If it makes you feel any better, I’d been playing Brotherhood since it came out. It took until my second-to-last playthrough back in 2021 to finally, actually realize how to do the multi-executions. (Stab a guy with a knife while throwing a knife into another, stab a guy with a sword, turn him to face his friend, shoot both with the pistol, etc.) 🤷🏻♂️
One time when playing AC brotherhood I once sent my 1st recruit (a young lady named Fabiola Fornari) to complete the most difficult task with the intention of getting rid of her (thinking she'd perish) to my surprise: she completed the task masterfully and immediately rose through the ranks! She became my most accomolished assassin. 😂
Wow, I always forget how beautiful and fluid these old games are. And I am tempted to say that they are fluid despite the old technology, but that’s not true. It’s BECAUSE of the plastic animations and “sticky” control scheme that gives Brotherhood the river-like flow we all love.
Idk if it’s just me but these graphics and color palette really add to the feeling of Assassins creed games, it makes me feel like I’m in this certain time period, the only thing that I can say has a similar feeling was the AC Unity Dead Kings DLC and AC Origins. Maybe I’m just a sucker for old videogame graphics idk😂
