I‘m so lucky to have an ESFJ boyfriend. 😄 He is an Syrian and very masculine (if i may say so), and at the same time a soft, gentle teddy bear. Thanks to his culture (which is a collective one), it is normal for a man to have a rich social life and always gather people around him. What had impressed me about him right from the beginning was how much of a people person he was. It is easy for him to chat with men or women, young or old, Middle Eastern, European, African or Asian (he ended up with me, who is the latter). In a group, he takes care of everybody and only sits down, when he thinks that everybody is happy. Because of this, i, an INFJ, love him. Together we seek harmony. When we argue, he tries to cuddle the conflict out. 😂 At the beginning, i was annoyed by that, because i rather want to think a problem through and solve it, but he’s not interested in abstract concepts (or not able to? I don’t know.). Over time, i‘ve realized that some things can’t be analyzed. So i‘ve accepted that and let him do his „S approach“ of problem solving. 😘💕🤗 🤷🏻♀️
I'm ESFJ- and I like to say, 'Molly Weasley on steroids!' I'm sitting ATM at my sister's- I was going to come for Christmas, but she fell and shattered her leg over the weekend, major surgery etc, so of course I threw everything in the car and drove 2 1/2 hours to help take care of her. And to prep for our planned Christmas. This is the classic me- as my kids call it 'MollyMom'. My biggest challenges as an ESFJ: Focusing on taking care of others to the detriment of my own needs. I pushpushpush and then collapse. I also get really discouraged if I feel that my efforts and actions are not noticed or recognized. And then I feel guilty for needing external rewards. And maybe the biggest one- relationships. I'm a historian, a bit geeky when it comes to my field. I identify as Sapiosexual- I really need an intellectual connection as well as an emotional one. However, the men I connect with there tend to be INTP/J, and while the mind meld is AWESOME, the emotional connection is seriously lacking, and things become a struggle. I've identified that INTP/J are not a good fit in the long term, but I haven't figured out how to find someone else with the intellectual connection that I need!
@@Qjemuseyup. I know one of those. They can’t stand criticism and will double down…they can be controlling 😬 and care too much about how other people see them…
Thank you for sharing this. It’s helped me to appreciate my husband and his personality even more. Understanding why they and we do what we do gives us all more empathy, patience and grace. So, thank you!
Why do you choose to hate? If you take this same statement and apply it to "someone who speaks Spanish" or "Africans" or any other identified group it is not acceptable. It is acceptable for ESFJs and MBTI. This is one of the main reasons why people denigrate MBTI. You are essentially craping on the entire theory including all other personality types. I as an INTP hate it when people unnecessarily harm working theories. I need to be charitable so I'll assume you're still very immature, likely barely reached puberty, otherwise you would have had more life experience to know not to hate based upon prejudice. Or maybe you're an idiot.
