As an American, I greatly admire the Duchess of Cambridge 's style. In my opinion I see her dress length a tad to long for her age. Excellent video and I definitely like these types of videos. Thank you Miranda 😊
@@themirandaholderI think her hem lines are long in some cases, but appropriate as a working royal. As is true of human tendency, over time, protocols & standards will likely be altered, & thus certain expectations will change.
I tend to like longer hemlines because they are comfortable and when I sit down, I am certain that I don't need to check if something is showing between my legs :) But that is me when it comes to skirts no matter my age.
Hi, Christine! I have to weigh in on the hemlines! I’m 32-but apparently look much younger?-and I think a skirt just below the knee looks sophisticated and flattering. Most women look best with a hemline just below the knee, although those with especially long calves can pull off lower hems and some petite women need a skirt just above the knee. It’s all about proportions and creating the right lines. For that reason, a slightly longer skirt will look timeless no matter the woman’s age. To me, a pencil skirt that ends above the knee just screams “sophomore intern who hasn’t yet learned how to dress.” I say this as someone who learned exactly that lesson after having several skirts and dresses hemmed too short! 🙀
As a role model i bet kate notices Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. She is older, was a ‘commoner’ and has impeccable taste and she holds herself regally without seeming uptight. I bet you anythg Kate keeps an eye on what cp mary wears. Also, take a look at what pre duchess kate worr and it is very clear she did not always have this silouette figured out!! Her early looks do not balance her longer torso and relatively short legs very well. She has evolved, like all of us!
Very nice Miranda!🙏👏 In particular the tights from John Lewis❤❤❤ Do you know if something similar is available outside the UK? Anyway, I think you should have a look at Denmark's Crown Princess Mary who is a bit more fashion forward than Kate, and very very beautiful too👌😍
I totally agree - I love Crown Princess Mary's fashion style - it always seems slightly more adventurous than Kate's. For me she is the most stylish Royal around today.
Mirrida how do you wear some of Princess Katrina's styles if you are shorter than her I am 5'4" and 3/4 so I am a lot shorter than she is. But I love the way she dresses
Catherine became a Princess. Can you compare her styles as Duchess and Princess, and if there are any tips that represent an ascension to more power. Princess of Wales is higher in power and status than Duchess of Cambridge. She is not dressing the same. so how does her fashion represent the leveling up? And what do you expect from her style as queen?
Miranda! You're wearing a belt! Could you please tell us how to wear and style outfits with belts, if we have the classic apple shape? I love belts, but they always make me look so fat around my belly regardless of where I where them. I've tried below my bust because that's where I'm thinnest, but then I end up looking pregnant. Should I just give up on belts??
Am I the only one creeped out by the Kate vs Diana comparison? Diana would have been her mother in law, and comparing that is a bit crass. I dunno, it's just creepy. Imagine her husband hearing, "your wife dresses similarly to your mother. Lucky man!"
I agree with you about Princess Catherine wearing outfits that conform to her particular body shape/type and therefore, Princess Kate always looks so beautiful, classy and elegant. Prince Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, on the other hand, hasn't seem to learn this concept yet. Meghan Markle has a very boxy, short, square torso with no curves and no defined waistline and shapeless, super skinny legs. Her whole body is shapeless and about 90-95% of the outfits she wears looks awful on her. She does not seem to understand that concept of dressing for your body type. Could you make a video explaining what style of clothing would suit Meghan Markle's shapeless, boxy, short torso frame? And I'm not body shaming Ms. Markle. It's just she's got the money to hire a competent stylist and since she is the wife of a Prince, she should at least be putting in the effort to look classy and timeless.
I would like a video on the evolution of Kate’s style. Thanks!
I'd love an evolution of Kate's style video!
Love your dress, too! Yes please to the evolution. And to see Di's look on repeat, wonderful.
My icon model is Jackie Kennedy, Kate Middleton, Audrey Hepburn :)
Oh I love this!

I have always preferred a mid calf length. Classic and lady like . I don’t like seeing too much skin.

Harry's wife is the only one who tries to be like Princess Diana🤣.

Thank you for commenting! I have lots more videos planned and can certainly add one like this to my list!
