@@RajaPamungkas87 u know whr Indonesia sand is, Jurong Island and Tekong, those done in the 70s are local, those done in the 90s then from indon. 1970s where got so much money to buy from Indonesia?
@@macaroon6561 hehe why Philippines didn't get rich if Hong Kong Airport and ports and china artificial island in west Philippines sea is made by Philippine sand? Maybe some of Marina bay is a Philippine sand? Smugglers are becoming rich not the country....
I wonder how much longer can Singapore continue to reclaim more lands before the neighboring countries start to feel "threatened" and the millions tons of sand is probably harvested from their poorer neighboring countries like Cambodia , Philippines etc who government is greedy for money in exchange for the destruction of their own nature reserves and land. unfortunately any countries with wealth and fame have the power and control over the fate of the poorer countries.
M'y country still grow grow and grow keep going Singapore 🇸🇬
Looks very much like one of those guy you meet at hawker center, but certainly have contributed so much in transforming Singapore, thanks.

tons of sands were smuggled
From where? Northeast?
Cambodia and vietnam. There used to be a lot of illegal sand from malaysia and indonesia, too.
The countries that sold the sand should be very rich now as sand are not cheap.
