Rainger FX: Dr. Freakenstein Chop Fuzzz // 2023 Edition

The Dr Freakenstein Chop Fuzzz is the latest iteration of Rainger FX’s flagship full-on gated fuzz pedal. Fresh updates to the Freakenstein legacy include more expression & CV inputs, enhanced LFO range for entirely new modulated fuzz effects, and a more compact, attractive, pedalboard-friendly enclosure. The Chop Fuzzz is a playground for fuzz and modulation-based sonic adventures, from huge, low-octave doomn to wild, ring mod robot voices and stuttering square wave tremolo chop. In this demo video, we put the Chop Fuzzz into use in a full-band context on bass and guitar (along with Rainger’s stellar Echo-X and Reverb-X), then we dig into the functional aspects, turning knobs and pushing buttons to let you hear the full range of its singular sonic mayhem.
