8:30 so cool that you started filming with the cross in the center of the frame, then chased the musket ball, the found the cross. So many times you can miss the great target because something else showed up first.
Eric, thank you for sharing that wonderful video. you have found some awesome relics, but this time you hit it out of the park. the weapon is probably very rare in that form. The arm band was great. The broaches and the ear ring were very nice too. Keep up the excellent work saving real historical items.
I suggested beach mode (and gold mode) a couple episodes back. Cool to see it pay off for you with some awesome and unique finds. You picked a great place to use it. Thanks for the video.
Awesome finds! I hope you find a cache of coins someday. Just a humble suggestion: Adding some video showing your metal detector swing and especially letting us hear the tones of some of the objects you find would make great additional content! 👍 Cheers!
Eric thank you so much for another great video. I use a different machine and have also found going back with setting changes can make for some interesting dicoveries
Congrats on the amazing finds. 🎉 The people who lived there must have been pretty well off given the amount of silver brooches that they lost. Imagine how many they didn't lose. 😯
Absolutely wonderful finds! I'm in Wisc., have not found any trade goods yet. But when I do? maybe I will know because of your great show! That weapon is crazy cool!!! Congrats Eric! all your finds and history about them is high class my friend. Rk
That iron weapon is sweet! The copper cross was on top of your pile as you found the musket ball. I can’t wait to get up to my cottage in northern MI later this summer!
What an amazing Hunt that was, awesome relics. Do you know Greg Shipley? He and his group do amazing work here in Southwest Ohio they uncovered one of the Spoon Lockets made by Cruikshank and inside it were some more trade silver items! if you don’t know of Greg he is on Facebook check him out
I saw the cross immediately before you dug up the musket ball. The cross was just laying right on top of the dirt in front of you. I'm surprised that you didn't see it 1st.
Beach mode on the equinox is one of four detecting modes. It is typically meant for hunting sandy beaches or underwater. But can be used on land with some tweaking of the settings. I just searched it on UA-cam to find how to set it up.
I have found that working a site, and you think you have it all cleaned out, but then a lightning storm comes through and charges the ground and makes everything glow in the ground, so a place is never really all cleaned out!

@@Eric_Detectorist I as well love playing cards these people down here in Richmond Virginia are so lame lol , have you been to eat any national Coney Islands
@@Eric_Detectorist I tried doing that. All the lidar maps end before they get to my area up in Sault Ste. Marie Canada. It's annoying! I can't find a lot up here sadly though I have found some other cool sites not fur trade related.
Wow!!!! Awesome work Eric!!
Thanks a bunch!

I didn’t even see the cross at first which was crazy when I rewatch the video.

Thank you for the suggestion I did that in my earliest videos, but should get back to that. It just takes a little extra time is why I stopped.
Awesome finds. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for watching!
How exciting, wish I was there, congrats.
Thank you

I was blown away. But glad I did.
You have found some great items in a beautiful place to hunt.
I think so too! Thank ypu
Absolutely unreal finds, that weapon is beyond cool
Thank you
Great finds!! I would be careful digging with your bare hand. I enjoyed the video. 😊
Thank you, I do need to be careful. I have gotten cut a few times. But it’s hard to film with two gloves on.
Congrats on the amazing finds. 🎉 The people who lived there must have been pretty well off given the amount of silver brooches that they lost. Imagine how many they didn't lose. 😯
The Ottawa loved silver. Most tribes in the region traded for more practical items like tools, guns and such, but the Ottawa wanted silver.
@@Eric_Detectorist That arm band/bracelet at the end was stunning! 😻
@@StaceNyourFace thank you. I have only found a few complete armbands. It is always a heart stopper.
Awesome finds
Thank you
Your video format is a lot like Brad’s from green mountain and that’s a good thing. Keep up the good work!

When I rewatched the video I thought the same thing.
Great finds. BTW…. What is the beach to land setting?

I completely agree. I go back to sites multiple times, walk over spots I have worked multiple times and still find good targets.
That triangle look native
Definitely
It's a ramrod entry thimble (where the ramrod disappears into the stock). 1700's and looks English. Probably a smoothbore.
Thank you for commenting. I figured someone would know.
Wow nice haul Eric, maybe a trade site?
I agree, most likely a trade site. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Is it possible to use Lidar radar over this area to search underground for a foundation or cellar or chamber???
I do use LiDAR maps to help me locate potential sites. Mostly I look for mounds, food pits or trails.
@@Eric_Detectorist I tried doing that. All the lidar maps end before they get to my area up in Sault Ste. Marie Canada. It's annoying! I can't find a lot up here sadly though I have found some other cool sites not fur trade related.
@@MrBottlecapBill try the web site Sartopo.com and in the layers use shaded relief. This works almost anywhere I believe.
no it's a pickaroon your weapon
Thank you for clarifying. I had never heard of that. I’ll have to do some more research.
It appears that a man was lost there with his weapons. Possibly due to the round ball. Why don't you do some sifting.?
That’s a good idea. I have a few spots that would be good for sifting I’ll have to make a sifter.
