I love those two spearheads Eric! Really amazing! I'm a little south of you but know that good feeling, I dug a Raddatz Spear Point 3500-5000 years old 👏
Awesome work! I found a cannonball like that along lake superior once. We come over and detect michigan a few times a year. The U.P. that is. If you are ever up for company me and my detecting buddy would love to join! That is if you're in DA YOOPER LAND😊😊
Same from me and my gf, we'll be in the paradise/whitefish/marais areas second week of October if anyone wants to link up. I will say we've never found anything 1700s up there, your channel opened up a whole different area of research for us. Are there any museums or anyplace in the area that would be interested in items we may find?
That copper spear was probably used to hunt wooly mammoths and wild bison. The copper culture natives stopped using copper and went back to stone tools 2000 years before Columbus.

I live in Cadillac Michigan, but I haven't had my Nox 600 out for a couple of years now.
I was just in Cadillac today and have researched that area before. Definitely some history there.

Sheffield Plate from England, I had a set of cutlery w/ genuine horn handles from there
Thank you for sharing.
Copper spear, that was a trade item, it also predates columbus comming to the americas does it not. lol

Don’t think those 4 items are hem weights. Were hem weights even a thing in 16 and 1700 ‘s ? I think hem weights were more a Victorian relic
Fixed tongue brooches 👍
@@BillMarshallmn that makes perfect sense
Thanks for the clarification Bill.
