You forgot to mention that the vault hunter's relic is using drop rates from a previous version of BL2, so it actually makes it harder to get legendaries specifically
So the mysterious amulet is a pendant that you know nothing about? And the community spent a while trying to figure out what it does, only to discover it does nothing? Where have I heard that before?...
@@Luka-Noctiluka Yeah I thought about that after posting it, I just didn't delete the comment. There are items without level restrictions (like the Contraband Sky Rocket). They could have made Moxxi's Endowment work this way, it would have been more rewarding to have a high level one.
The vault hunters gun is pretty good in my opinion. Lvl 1-10 going through the main missions each boss dropped a legendary on first kill and I even pulled a legendary in a Dahl chest
The problem with the Vault Hunter's relic is that it makes you think you have a 5% chance, or 5% added to the current chance, for rare loot. What actually happens is that it is multiplicative. So, say the chance for rare loot is 2%. You don't get 7%. You get. 0.02 x 1.05 = 2.1% chance for rare loot. You're better off just equipping something that lets you kill things faster at that point.
I use the vault hunter relic all the time when farming for certain things. even if I am about to kill a boss ill switch to it for the killing shot. Not a big or apparent increase in drops but it is visible. 5% for sure can make a difference in farming.
Actually, what you have to do with the amulet is bring it to the sacrificial altar up where you fight the Handsome Sorcerer and drop it on it. That way, you get a huge money shower.
I had pretty good luck with legendaries after i equiped the vault hunter's relic so i always have it equiped during normal mode and whem farming weaker bosses
For the mysterious amulet if you have fight for sanctuary and you save ButtStallion on a side mission and you equip the mysterious amulet from the exact same game mode like ultimate vault hunter, true vault hunter or normal you can get a really overpowered gun call the unixplosion and it's AWSOME.
I think i remember getting one of the pixies from the Tina DLC to become friendly without having to catch it when i had the friendship amulet on. The two are most likely unrelated, but... still.
the Vault Hunter's relic actually makes it easier to get legendary items. Where it would take you 10 tries to get a certain gun, say the Lyuda, it cuts that in half. meaning you can get a legendary item easier.
agreed. I'm halfway through my siren playthrough and haven't really taken that relic off since I started, and already gotten a lot more high-rarity weapons than in my mechro and assassin playthroughs. only one of which I farmed for. found at least 4-5 legendaries in the last few days without even trying.
Dunno whether the Vault Hunter's Relic actually helped but my latest Salvador run actually dropped a Kerblaster, Bonus Package AND Hornet during the story is quite cool
Conrad Playz That was just luck then. It’s already been figured out that all it does is increase the drop rate of Rare (Blue) rarity items by 5%. It does nothing to boost your chances of getting legendaries
In a weird way, the midnight star is kinda effective. You need to be within medium to close range to an enemy on the ground. Throw the grenade behind him as he shoots at you. As the grenade goes off, make sure to line yourself up with the enemy, thus causing the baby grenades to slam into the back of the enemy. It works, but it requires too much effort to be effective tbh.
Moxxi’s endowment (the lower level 4,7% one) is useful for PLing newbies. They can just hang out out of the way while Gaige’s deathtrap kills off the flying mobs in warriors chamber
I figured out what the Mysterious Amulet does a long time ago and what it does is give you a major boost in ammunition regeneration, speed boost and faster healing from the Pixies located at the forest in Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC. With the amulet you are more likely to encounter the Pixies and to get assistance from them longer than you do without the amulet. The Pixies want you to be their friend, that's if you don't try to harm them and if you harm them they will try and kill you instead.
I think the mysterious amulet is a nod to Dark Souls 1. There was a pendant in that game that did nothing, but people were determined to find a use or secret purpose for it. Plus, I agree that the Evil Smasher is pretty useless now but I'm still waiting for someone to fix up the Cradle. Can't believe that hasn't been patched yet...
There's a PC community patch that speeds up the lucritive opportunity. At OP 8 it increases speed by 8000% making it longer to leave the shop than to wait for the timer.
Number 10: The moxxi relic isn't useless, of course they're not going to give a level 15 player almost a 10% xp boost. They would level up way to fast. The more you level the bigger the gap between levels. Number 8: The basic repeater is for those who don't have dlc. It would be stupid for gearbox to take it out. Also sometimes the assault rifle and the SMG do 10 damage. Also why does vynlic think like "the handsome collection comes with all dlc and is a good deal so ever borderlands player has it." Number 6: the vault hunters relic is awesome. It's mainly for bosses like warrior or handsome sorcerer where they have a big loot pool and not for those like doc mercy that only drop like 1 or 2 greens and the infinity.
Enemy experience is a small portion of the total experience you get. Even a 10% exp boost to regular enemies is still very minor. It might cause you to be 1 level above normal after about 18-20 levels. It's possible that enemy experience is more significant later on, in which case it might be useful in TVHM and early UVHM, but the later you get you also have to question whether simply being able to kill things faster is better. Let's face it, Borderlands 2 has some crappy relics. Hate the way they handled that in BL2. TPS did far better with it's OZ kits.
I don't wanna hear this slander about the basic repeater... lol... that was my first bl2 gun experience and I will always remember the wonky handling and pitter patter of a fun looking gun
I feel like the vault hunter's relic can be used early game, and a do see a noticable difference pre-TVHM, as well as making it more likely to get better weapons while farming for a cobra
The amulet is a Dark Souls reference. You can choose a Pendant with a vague discription as a starting item. It's the only item in all of Dark Souls that serves no purpose and isn't usable on anything.
The Cradle would be potentially good, crappy special effect aside, for a character that either has drastically reduced shield recharge rate, or who receives some kind of flat boost to shield size through a COM. But that would probably apply to any super fast Tediore shield. It would not be good for Blood Soaked Shields as that primarily benefits large, typically slower to start charging shields.
ive actually gotten some awesome second wind kills with the midnight star...messing around of course in normal mode with my buddies at a lower level but if you know youre gunna go down throw a couple of them might make for a cool barrage

The evil smasher + infinity pistol was awesome.
The stock Dahl pistol is _far_ better than the stock smg and assault rifle IMO. I usually never use either and just sell them, and use the sniper.
All these hate comments, leave him alone, he is one of the few active borderlands 2 youtubers and posts decent content
sad joltzdude noises
This man's voice always gets noticably more angry when the landscaper is mentioned lol
Amazing Amulet reminds me a lot of a special item from Dark Souls~ :3
I don't wanna hear this slander about the basic repeater... lol... that was my first bl2 gun experience and I will always remember the wonky handling and pitter patter of a fun looking gun
I remember getting the Harold on my first try. Was hyped.
Same
Top 10 weapon parts of each gun in Borderlands 2.
These top ten's are what I live for
If you wear the amulet and feed but stallion you get a special gun
With all the dark souls Easter eggs, people should have known that the mysterious amulet was a joke. (Pendant from Dark Souls)
When I first got Moxie's Endowment, I asked myself, "but, wait, don't the enemies scale to your level?" I sold it immediately.
Leveling takes hours so endowment is ok
I just keep them for collection items
Landscaper. I hate it.
The midnight star is good for giving it to an ally and saying “it’s the best one in the game”
What if you threw the midnight star while in the centre of a group of melee enemies? That would do serious damage.
I feel like the vault hunter's relic can be used early game, and a do see a noticable difference pre-TVHM, as well as making it more likely to get better weapons while farming for a cobra
I thought the mysterious amulet made it so the fairies never attack you lol.
Might be obvious but how do you hold 70 items with a max of 39
I believe that the Mysterious Amulet is a reference to the pendant from dark souls 1.
Vynilic puma. We need more information on tps. Because even joltz doesn't know that much about it and people wanna know everything about it.
The mysterious amulet is probably a reference to dark souls 1 and the pendent which had much the same affect: nothing
The amulate is probably a dark souls reference...the pendant is the most infamous easteregg and the creater trolled us for years :(
Manly man shield blocks explosives making the midnight star the ultimate kamikaze
With the patch the Lucractive Opportunity is quite good
The mysterious amulet is a reference to darks souls which also had an amulet that was completely worthless.
Or rather a pendant.
Mysterious amulet is a reference to the amulet is DS1. Does nothing and drove people mad thinking it did things.
It helps u get the rainbow shotgun
