- in this video i show how to replace a front bumper bracket for a scion tc, its really annoying having a slumped bumper and bad fitment, it could be an easy fix such as a bracket to fix that wack ass fitment.

Nice tutorial, thorough and simple.
Scion bumpers are so bad because of this lol I have the same issue I just stopped caring after changing 2 brackets also my bumper clips are completely broken so I need a new bumper but I’m too low to be worrying about that tbh great video tho!
Dude I'm doing my bumper clips today that I ordered off Amazon that you recommend plus changing out my old worn out head lamps with new ones ... I watched your video many times now .... I will let you know how everything went when I'm done...
how did it go?
@@JT-zn5mg it went pretty smoothly, I toke my time and even replaced my worn out factory headlamps out with TYC headlamps these are exact OEM aftermarket fit looks awesome now.....
Nice, got any tips for the back bumper too? I actually need to replace the whole thing and you made the front easy enough to follow.
Go OEM brackets, for my TC, it was nice and no gap.
Just saw the video I’m looking to try it out on my scion soon do those clips also work for the rear bumper as well?
yo let me know how it goes, and nah you would have to get different ones for the rear
I just added a little JB weld clear, jacked it up, let it dry for 2 days and boom done 💯 🤷
I saw this method but what about when you need to take the bumper off?
Did these hold up okay over the past year?
Yo how do you remove the clips?? I’m stuck on that part
how did you get the bumper gap though? was it from taking off the bumper once?
It can just happen from either hitting dips or just old crusty brackets maybe
Yeah mine have a super severe gap from just going up driveways that are too steep or when there is a dip in the road that kinds big. Yeah I slow down but I would have to be at a crawl to safety take dips and even then I still hear the bumper scrape
yeah unfortunately i was installing those yellow fog light housings , and to do that i had to take the bumper off and ever since then i had that sag look, it drove me nuts, if you look my tail light video thumbnail you can see I used to perfect fitment
Mine happened on the interstate. Piece of tire from a semi smoked the bumper, cracked the bottom thinner bit in half as well. Good times haha
The missing underside panel covers, non OEM welded brackets parts and damage to the bumper brackets would indicate the vehicle was involved in a front end accident previously. The repairs were performed unprofessionally, maybe by the previous owner to save money. A professional body shop would have corrected those issues you had addressed. I suspect the gap on the drivers side could be corrected with some needed body work to put it back into proper alignment.
I see what your saying, but again this is a DIY video, sending this to a “professional shop” for a small bumper gap like this is not wise, shops would charge a decent amount for something so small as this
I understand what you mean. I enjoy your DIY videos and they have been very helpful to me, keep up!.
What year is your tv mine is 2012 and bracket is different and has two bolts
I have a 2011
On my xb 2011 they are white
