2 days ago I lost my godmother/aunt who’s always been like a second mother to me. She unfortunately had cancer in her uterus which spread to her lungs and liver. She’s always been the strong one in my family. She was terrified but continued to fight each and every single day. I miss her so much but I am happy she is in a better place now. This is a little experience from my life that I think I should share with you all. For those of you struggling with getting over a breakup, or just getting over someone, here's a reminder that some people just aren't meant to be together ❤️. You shouldn't let this person take power of your life for this long, so heads up darlings! You're gonna be just fine! :)
I thought it was bad at first, you not liking me back. I used to think I was in love with you. I memorized everything about you, your dark brown eyes. Your eyes would seem almost translucent in the sun. You always acted kind of like a dick if I’m being honest, but when I looked into those eyes, I could see the kindness. I always listened to your Spotify music, incorporated some of your favorite songs into my playlists. We would always talk about our music taste. You weren’t all that bad. Sure, you were a little messed up, but aren’t we all? My mom told me to stop associating with you, but I didn’t. I was obsessed with you, from your eyes to your short brown hair. I thought we actually could've been something. I know it wasn’t your fault, but somehow you led me to believe that you liked me back. Then one night, we were talking about sports, you played soccer. You mentioned a girl you had met, Chloe. My heart stopped. You mentioned her so casually, as if it wasn’t a big deal, yet this felt so unreal. I thought I could get over it, but night after night all you would talk to me about was Chloe. You asked for my opinions on things, and asked for advice. Silly me thought we still had a chance, so I helped you. It was as if Chloe was your whole world, and I was just in the background. I slowly lost all hope that you would ever like me back. One day, I realized that I was simply never in love with you. It was just a crush, just a phase. I also realized that you and I were nothing more than friends the entire time. My mind slowly began to shift as I began to notice that I had moved on from you. I now feel that you were like a barrier holding me back. I mean sure, sometimes I take a moment to admire those eyes, but nothing more. For almost the entire time I “loved you”, I had ignored my other friends, stopped focusing on school, and disobeyed my parents. Now I can see how much more enjoyable life is without the image of you replaying in my head. So thank you Paxton Suhr and Chloe (last name). I have moved on.

It’s pretty tiring pretending that everything is alright.
I mean, it is, but I lie to myself by saying that. I always help people with their burdens, let them rant or vent, help with her problems and everything. But I really need someone to do it for me too. Hearing all my friends fall in love and their crushes is so nice but I feel so... out of it all. My last love was a very bad one, it was online! It was horrible. I love love. It’s amazing. It gives you motivation and hope and we all live for it. But when you’re out of it, knowing the person you fell in love was wasn’t that persom, it was the person you IMAGINED... it’s sad.
