On March 20th 1965, Lyndon B. Johnson supersedes segregationist Governor George Wallace's authority and calls up the Alabama National Guard to protect and supervise a planned civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery. Selma's black population was marching for the right to register to vote without discrimination and the threat of violence. By the time the march reached Montgomery on March 25th 1965 King was supported by some 50,000 marchers who listened and watched as King delivered his famous "How Long, Not Long" speech from the steps of the Capitol building.

Dr. King was a Magnificent speaker. He was a man of God, working to do God's will while striving to ensure that All men truly are created equal. He was one of the Greatest men in the World.

Alex Rodemich Modern history post MLK has quite clearly told us that it doesn't seem to work in this country, we are still oppressed and young brothas are still being killed daily. Do you really think we haven't tried peaceful protest? Are you really that ignorant? Don't come to a video of Dr. Martin Luther King and spread your bullshit, I'm sure you saw what happened in Ferguson, that was peaceful and then the national guard came in with their armed vehicles shooting rubber bullets and tear gas at us, time to wake up white America.

When assassins and oppressors hide behind a badge, government conspiracies or blind cooperation do they sleep at night, do they pray to their God with blood on their hands. I wonder where their souls go or in their final twilight moments before death, do they see those they've murdered and mistreated, are they welcome by them or are they constantly running down dark corridors in fear of damnation...Fools and their foolishness.

you are an absolute disgrace to man kind. By viewing your page I saw that you were a Christian. You should shamefully call yourself a Christian because it is clear to me and probably all the other clear minded people that read your post that you are a simply stated fucker.

Ironically though, he's said many times that it wasn't him who killed MLK

the only hate in this video is on the Confederate side. why get rid of videos to cover up, hide, and conceal what was done. history can not be erased. I feel sorry for you and your narrow minded views. expand your knowledge. think for yourself.
