Very deep....and energetic!!! You didn't need to be "ZOOTED"(LIT) to enjoy. The power was build into the music.

I briefly met Sharon Redd in long beach ca. I checked her into her room at the hotel ( Sheraton ) She was the headliner for The Long Beach gay pride back in the mid eighties. She was a cute soul, tiny and firery. RIP

Oh yeah, I had a friend who was her support when she came to London. She loved the gay scene decribing in her baseball cap back stage that they, the guys, were her people. Maybe these recordings do appear rather shit nowadays, but her voice is incredible. It's a shame, maybe, that her fame at the time didnot transcend the scene. But she loved the scene and performing for gay men.
