Appreciate the supportive comments around movement and realism! I don’t have military experience, but I tried to play this as if I was actually there experiencing all of the twists and turns.
Phage Marston it wasn’t. It was set on easy. Hard games are fine if the difficulty adds to the experience (think cuphead or dark souls) but when it’s just frustrating and not fun I don’t wanna play it.

A flawless run is a run of a mission without getting shot. 3. Even if they were trying to play realistically that wasnt the point of this run, the point was to not get shot. 4. The "hostage" he shot was going to pick up the gun and shoot him thus killing the flawless run, remember the point is to not get shot . 5. OP's comment about how they didnt want to ruin the immersion doesn't prove anything, a good video game/movie/source of entertainment would want their audience to be immersed in the content.
The way I say that part actually made it a bit more immersive. A real CT operator would probably do the same: see the gun, see the hostage, it's you or them. Eliminate the threat by any means, and in that panic and adrenaline he accidentally killed them both. We know as an audience that she would have grabbed the gun anyways, same with the guy behind the door, but this is Garrick's first rodeo. He's shitting his pants right now clearing this place. After the fact I mean, what could he do? He can't bring her back, the mission's gotta continue anyway, and then after he takes them down, he hesitates before reporting, and his voice even sounds a little upset to a degree. It's one of those quiet "shit." moments and definitely doesn't disqualify this from being flawless at all.
@@spartacussmith7070 No, unfortunately its not Kyle's first rodeo. He has already seen deployments in Bosnia, Syria, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iraq as well as been in the Special Air Service for about 3 years now. Also, unfortunately, once again, SAS operators are trained with live ammunition while taking turns to play hostage as his mates are clearing rooms. Its to build confidence and to not crack under pressure like these. Adrenaline is off the charts when they do that the first time, no matter how good of a shot they are (again, before the confidence test, they are trained CONSTANTLY to the point they can hit a moving target with a pistol at 100m) it can get fatal. So no, an SAS operator, even though we know with hindsight that she would have grabbed the gun, wouldn't have killed her. A testament to that is the Iranian hostage crisis and how they got the six without taking a single civilian life.
Except she wasn't armed at the time meaning you killed an unarmed hostage. Yeah she goes for the gun after but if you're fast enough you can get her before she shoots at you

a lot of things to point out, i absolutely love how realistic you made it. i love how you don’t shoot the lights because theoretically in real life you’re not allowed to shoot when you’re not supposed to such as accidental discharge, i love how you check every corners when you enter a room i love how even though you know your teammate is going to get wounded you don’t blindly shoot the door to save him because in real life you obviously wouldn’t know, absolute unit
I always throw a flash bang in that first room. If Price screams, “GARRICK WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”, I restart from last checkpoint and do it again until he says, “FLASHBANG!!!” More realistic.
Hammer Bro 19 Granted, but at the ready, barrel down or at the door...point man has weapon up...you don’t want an accidental discharge when rounds are coming from the target on the other side of the door and 2 and 3 (team) are startled and start shooting or get hit and dispense a round in the line. Then you’ll have to explain to your LT what happened...then your LT reports to his CO of what happened..then the CO explains what happened to the family. It happens...Don’t muzzle your weapon.
I love how Price's voice actor murmurs instead of whispers his lines. Very realistic. The sound of a whisper will carry further than you think, murmurs don't.
I played through the entire campaign on realism for my first play through. So much fun! A few spots that were tricky but with careful planning they can be overcome.
Ive done a lot of house clearing in the army for training, sim rounds, and paintball, and i have to tell you, its nerve wrecking as all hell. Luckily ive never had to do a real one. When the enemy knows you are there, you have to increase your aggression to 100x times theirs. Loud and fast, but thorough.
Rushing a corner is always, ALWAYS, the most dangerous way to clear something, it is only used when you are in a rush and you are pretty certain that there is no enemy threat but the space has to be checked anyway. There are other things wrong in this video as well, as its a video game but still I might as well list a few. Even in confined spaces you NEVER take a room alone, you must always have a partner. They cleared the stairs the wrong way. Moving on the hallway incorrectly leaving rooms and closed spaces unchecked which eventually lead into a hit on blue. When clearing a room with a door, well first of all flashbang it, if no flashbangs at least have people taking the next corner, have one man on the handle side of the door and take the space.
3:07 that’s very realistic to how the body would probably react to being shot from that gun the blood coming out the nose and mouth props to the developers as blood only comes out the mouth when someone is shot in the lungs or neck I haven’t seen a game that actually takes stuff like that into account.
If a gun has a suppressor doesn’t mean it’s silent or even quiet. If you where in a house when someone shot a suppressed gun it would be loud enough for you to go “what was that?”
This is my favourite mission, not just in the game but in the CoD franchise in general. It's just so different to the typical stuff you get in a Call of Duty game and that makes it so much more memorable.
How about a 4player co-op gamemode with these type of missions where there is 5-10 missions to choose from and theres always different scenarios (ie: like an enemy or civilian would be waiting at a different door/room every time). You get to choose your entry points and class setup pre-mission.
> loud gunshots indicating intruders in the house > element of surprise gone because they know you're there > still insist on opening every door slowly, aiming down sights to "maintain stealth"
Yeah i did it last night. And i did it way cleaner then this video. One shot kills through the house. Besides saving my guy from geting blasted through the door.
Brandon Goldsberry getting that trophy on this mission for all one shot kills and no misses was a lil tough. But going for platinum was so much fun and worth it
My one problem is that in the military if you were to point your gun at one of your own people you would be kicked out immediately, learned this from my veteran uncle (ex marines), other than that very realistic and good!
A dog with internet access there’s not much you can do because it’s ya know, call of duty. What are you gonna do instead? Stare at the ceiling and floor?
It always ruined my immersion while playing the campaign when my character or somebody else would call out that the room I was in was clear even though I wasn’t done checking corners and clearing it. I feel if they delayed that call out by 5 more seconds the experience of clearing houses would be way better and more immersive.
One thing that cod made super hard to make immersive that in real life you don’t ever point the barrel of your gun at one of your own and it would have been nice to see that whenever your reticle is near a friendly you put your gun down
Update: Just wanted to address some of the comments around play style on this. When you did this on your first time playing "clean house" but no one cares because you aren't popular
You're correct, no one cares.
Been there man, know what you mean.
Ok... I know I've seen the gameplay before... But honestly haven't gotten over it... Beautiful
Out of all the game. This is by far the easiest level to clear on realism.
dude forgot about embedded
This is my favourite mission, not just in the game but in the CoD franchise in general. It's just so different to the typical stuff you get in a Call of Duty game and that makes it so much more memorable.
I loved the whole campaign. Amazing
i like the fact that one of the soldiers walked into the door frame
A whole gane could be made out of this concept and execution
Gage James there’s a swat game coming out and you can do this type of stuff it’s neat
@@JamesSniper85Show I've seen it bro, looks hectic, I'm hyped x
There is. Ground branch, I think it’s called.
This mission is my favorite in the campaign
Cause you actually feel like you have teammates with you and not some NPC who let you do all the work
2.15 missed an amazing shot when the soldier walks in
Nicely played. We all know you played the mission a dozen times but you made the experience feel so real!
6:25 dude went under the bed nice flawless
He waved the barrel on friendly’s the entire time
The baby crying stressed me out when i first played this mission.. i diddnt expect it
That adds the aspect of realism, stressful situations but i aint an operator tho :D
so shoot the baby
8asper in my first play through, I did shoot the baby. But of course, children are not soldiers.
Meh didn’t for me literally just ignored the baby
Veteran realism: points the gun at your squad the whole time.
How about a 4player co-op gamemode with these type of missions where there is 5-10 missions to choose from and theres always different scenarios (ie: like an enemy or civilian would be waiting at a different door/room every time). You get to choose your entry points and class setup pre-mission.
> loud gunshots indicating intruders in the house
> element of surprise gone because they know you're there
> still insist on opening every door slowly, aiming down sights to "maintain stealth"
You should've done the golden path achievement, getting that will be an actual flawless run.
Probably one of the best missions in the call of duty franchise would love to see more missions like this in future games
7:26 Invalid IP address! 7.28 Invalid network mask!! Only a network engineer who's also a hard-core gamer will understand!
Shoulda just made 'em IPv6 that woulda made more sense or make it believable 😂😂 Good spot 🙌🏽
This is what happens when you have more than 6 people in your house at one time.
I freakin Love this Campaign dude, Best Campaign I ever played, This being my fav Mission. It’s Like R6 Seige and I love R6 seige.
Who’s ready to cry even harder when soap dies in higher definition
"Check those corners"
"Corners secure sir"
"Stairs clear sir."
Kyle: door locked
Price: *I summon you,a crowbar*
"Flawless raid"
*Kills hostage*
Yup I'd say that's a mission accomplished
She reaches for the gun if you don't kill her
Gonzaar24 flawless is also only using one shot per threat
"Check your shots."
Player: *YEET*
You can save your partner from getting shot.
Yeah i did it last night. And i did it way cleaner then this video. One shot kills through the house. Besides saving my guy from geting blasted through the door.
Brandon Goldsberry getting that trophy on this mission for all one shot kills and no misses was a lil tough. But going for platinum was so much fun and worth it
The graphics, especially at the very beginning on the street are just unreal
3:08 You just straight up killed the "hostage" hahahah
Mom: look he is having a great time with his friends doing a nerf battle!
Me and my friends:
When you get caught holding a fish suspiciously in the UK
This was awesome rlly made it feel like a helmet cam on a good mission
Girls: Omg it's too dark go upstairs
Boys: 2:26
I really admire how they play realistically and administer CQB Training and Anti Friendly Fire Techniques into a game like this
*Realism*
Reloads the gun after 4 bullets ...
I Never had that problem.
Ive watched every Clean House I can search for except for Cleaning
I got 'Golden Path' on my second run tho.
I start off doing Realism in my first run and all of the others.
One thing that cod made super hard to make immersive that in real life you don’t ever point the barrel of your gun at one of your own and it would have been nice to see that whenever your reticle is near a friendly you put your gun down
MicroBod 345 You put your gun up not down
Hazardous really I thought it was down? Towards the underneath ceiling
