People are having a hard time feeding their families, finding jobs and actually being able to pay rent. I am a dog lover and own a dog so this is not a dog bashing comment. I just saw a man bring in 3 cats to my vet that he found and wanted to keep them. I overheard them telling him the cost of spading them was over 1500.00. Who can afford that? The sad part is that most of the dogs were breed with the thought of selling them and now people can’t afford to take care of them or just don’t want them anymore. Laws for breading these unadoptable dogs ( especially pit bulls) should have been adopted years ago and enforced. I think it was a fad to own them and now they are unwanted. So sad. I would still do some vetting of those who want to adopt because you’ll probably get people who are only doing it because they only cost 10.00 then they will be back out on the streets. Wish everyone the best.
